It was a NOID, because when my husband was young, his brother came to USA for college.  They were very close and he missed him.  He went and applied for a visitor Visa and they denied and told him go get married. So 2 years later, my husband became very very stupid.  He presented a fraudulent marriage document.   I remember him telling me this when we first met.   After I applied I130 and it was going over posted processing times.....this came to me and I asked him, did they say this would cause any problems, he said no...that the people at the embassy were very nice.    Then I became stupid....I should have known better, I should of read up on this myself.  I should of remembered.

So our NOID was to dispute that he is not married in his country.  No Problem, the proof is on the way back to Nebraska SC.  However, when he gets the NVC interview.  He will be denied for fraud.  We then have to file the 601 waiver with my hardship request as I cannot move to his country, and other reasons.

    Very Sad but positive!

Sorry to hear that but keep your head up it might take a while but atlease you know there is hope for his situation.

Well 1 year and 1 month since my application received.  first inquiry after My application for husband went over the normal processing times - stated additional reviews needed to be done, please allow 60 days.   My attorney then filed the inquiry when our case went over the 1 year mark - response our case is in line to be reviewed, keep in mind case are reviewed in the order they are received (BOLDLY NOT TRUE) --please allow 60 more days AND if we do not hear anything provided another address to write by mail to.   March 11, 2019 will be the next 60 days advised to wait.   I really wonder will I receive a blessing in the next 30 days......or does the torture continue.    This is all to our case nothing less nothing more.

Ok fingers crossed hopefully you get the results you are expecting.

Well I did not mean that in a bad way, just after speaking to many attorneys a few weeks ago, they said most attorneys are aware that the territory in which my husband lives, their cases area always  take much longer than normal.  It was not just my attorney, each atty I consulted with before I hired this atty told me the same "much shorter wait time.   I agree with you 100%, I always am thankful and thank God for all small and big blessings, but from a human standpoint and missing my husband, it is hard to watch others who filed the same time go through so quickly and see others who filed several months after you....so it raised many questions for me.    However, in the long run..............I am very thankful!     I hope your case goes very fast, God Bless you!  Prayers for us all!

Found this online hope it helps, I listen to his podcast very helpful.

I am beginning to think that that the attorney was not upfront with me.  I have met about 6 people from Palestine who reside in Tampa.  They all told me 24 months.  My husband heard this in his country and the attorney said no he will be here with me 12 to 15 but closer to 12.  Its 13 months and his I130 not even approved so yes look like we will be waiting another 12 months.  I am so depressed that I feel I cant even breath.

The attorney can't know for sure when you will get thru with this process nobody does that's why its frustrating. My advise is keep the faith and continue to wait like the rest of us sometimes we should count our small blessings. Imagine if there was no opportunity like this to file for him (small blessings) I'm waiting too I use to make it get to me now I just leave it in God's hands. If its ment to be it will be.

    Hello All,

Has anyone has their case expedited through the NVC?  Mine was approved but I am confused to exactly where and how we pay the fees...  I saw on one website that the fees can be paid to the consulate but do they accept check, money order, or does the payment have to be in US dollars?

Also can I ask who all plans to be there for the interview?  My husband thinks it’s vital for me to be there but in the confirmation they said no one else will be allowed to enter the building...

    PD January 29, 2018

    NOA 2 - September 26, 2018

    Sent to NVC - October 15, 2018

    Received (no case#) - October 24, 2018

Expedite Request submitted to NVC - October 30, 2018

Approved Expedite Request received - November 2, 2018

    VAC Appointment - December 5, 2018

    Consulate Interview - December 10, 2018

When you go on the site you will see pay fees you will click that, my husband paid with his card and it doesn't matter what currency you use as long as the currency you are using amount to 1 us dollar so you need to find out nvc exchange rate to your countries dollar and I called my local embassy and they said I should attend alone only if they gave direct orders for my husband to come then that's a different story so call your local embassy and find out, good luck.

Thank you. I hope everyone here gets approved soon as well.

My wife's interview was fairly simple. Key take away points from the interview and also what my wife overheard from other interviews while waiting her turn:

    - Bring the original signed in ink I-864, my wife was asked for it

    -  Even if you have already submitted them, bring copies of the IRS tax transcripts (Transcripts, not returns. Returns may cause you to get scrutinized over income and delayed). I had submitted returns but two days before the interview I caught my mistake and I sent the transcripts to my wife. They asked her for them before the interview.

    - Cultural/language differences? The intending immigrant should make every effort to speak English during the interview. (It is okay to ask for clarification in the local language whenever necessary).

    - Bring one or two pictures that show the interests and personality of the US citizen. For my wife, that seems to have been the most important topic during the interview. The CO asked for pictures of us together and chat logs, but didn't really looked at them, just glanced at them and returned them. Then he asked her, I'm paraphrasing here, "Show me a picture of your husband in the US". She showed him a peculiar picture of me in the Alaskan far north near the arctic ocean (the picture was taken next to a sign that says the name of the place). The CO took the conversation that way and asked her if I liked cold weather and so on, perhaps to test her confidence in her knowledge of me and to see if we had a real relationship. That was the focus of the interview.

Were you present at the interview

Well I asked my Attorney to do a check because I saw that the time was near were it was permittable .  He did not want to do it, then out of the blue he sent me a response from them that we were in normal processing time because HE CHECKED a week tooooooooo soon.   I feel like I bother him when I ask question as his response are short and incomplete.

I will put in a change of address today, and do my own request.

Yes, I heard because he is a MUSLIM from Middle East it takes longer.  I respect their security checks but does seem unfair, as I do not know what more they can check on him.  He has no criminal background.  A villager with a wonderful family.    I guess it is what it is, but it hurts being without each other and were married.

The good always suffer for the bad due to where he lives is most likely the problem, I was listening to a podcast on immigration and they said people who reside on that side of the world has to go thru a lot because immigration are doing back ground checks on people there and they wanna make sure they dot every I and cross every T. You're lawyer is annoying no offence you are paying him even if you call him 600 times a day that your problem because you paid him to help because obviously you needed assistance so he needs to start dealing with your professionally and not no one worded reply. Yeah it's very hard not being next to you're spouse but it will be all worth it in the end.

Thank you, I have prayed so hard and hope this will be the case.   I used an attorney and had all documents requested and many letters of support/testimony of our love.    We miss each other so much.  I was unable to fly back due to having 2 auto accidents back to back and was injured so lost all my time off from work.

    Thank you for your support!

Have you called them as yet, if no give them until the first week in November. I heard sometimes the delay can be where your spouse is from.
