Since when was getting Obamacare WHEN IT WAS MANDATORY forbidden for a green card holder? And yes, we had to get obamacare when we entered the US before we found jobs, which is why we're now worried about it affecting my green card spouse.

Just because this annoys the heck out of me:

What I don't understand is why do you want to make it HARDER for people to naturalize? When they naturalize they gain the ability to vote and to make more contributions to society vs paying into a system in which they will never see the gains. Basically because I'm an LPR not a USC, I am paying for someone else's medical expenses, someone else's social security, someone else's everything, but yet I have zero say in where my taxes may or may not go, and are not able to also use those products in which I pay into.
(Just for clarity, it's MY choice to not become a USC at this time, so I don't complain. I really don't care in all honesty about the fact I can't use medicare and am just using this as an anecdote to prove a point about how others may think or feel. )
I think immigration itself should be harder, not the ability to become a USC.

This sentence and the sentiment behind it is completely against the spirit of being an American. The government works for me, if I disagree with what it is doing I can get angry all I want. As long as I don’t try to violently overthrow it, there is nothing wrong with getting angry at your government and try to change the policy. Regardless of your partisan or nonpartisan opinions, This type of subservient sentiment towards a central government among the populace is what the founding fathers were afraid of and put the safeguards against.

The posted article is just a snippet, there are others with more content. Are people glossing over the line about legal immigrants being hindered from obtaining legal status if they took care of their US CITIZEN family members/children with public assistance? How does that make sense?
This is just continuing the attack on the poor and vulnerable. This administration is trying to chip away at legal immigration, not actually reform it in a sensible way, and people pretend it's supposed to be a victory. This should absolutely be concerning for everyone. We need to take care of each other as a society, and provide support to those who can't take care of themselves - not become heartless and lack empathy, saying "every man for himself" or "just try harder". This is a symptom of much bigger problems in the USA.
If this administration doesn't concern you, you simply aren't paying enough attention.
