  1. It looks like a small dog, she might be able to take it with her onboard. Many airlines allow this, but it has to be a small dog with a kennel no bigger than standard carryon size. Usually they have a limit on how many dogs can go in the cabin (like 2 or 3).

You'll still have to pay the extra fee, but I know if I needed to fly my chihuahua someplace I'd do my best to keep him with me!

Thank You, i will try....heheheh! i like ur avatar icon...

  2. I called and spoke with agent www.evaair.com regarding pet dog, pet policy –price ($218) from Cambodia to San Francisco. Pet dog must be in the cage (cargo area) all time during flight, no food will be supply for pet...:no:

I took my dog from Cambodia to JFK ( via BKK) with Thai airways in 2005. $170 USD per leg per 25kgs . So if your dog is under 25kgs, it should cost you $340. They have a temperature regulated cargo area..although its cool, maybe 15c which is tough for a dog used to the tropics. ( give lots of blankets)You provide water with one of those bottle thinggys. Its actually best not to give food, its only one day out of the dogs life and it will be more uncomfortable if it poops itself than being hungry! A good edible chew toy is best, like rawhide.

There is a travel agent across the road from Thai airways office at the Intercon that sells travel approved crates.

You must take the dog (or his paperwork) to the Ministry of Agriculture , (on Monivong Bvd near Hotel le Royal) to get a certificate saying that the dog is vaccinated and free of disease and allowed to leave the country. They will get this information from your vaccination booklet and rabies certificate from your vet.

    good luck

Thank you, i will ask my fiance to do that....

  5. One has to contact the airline to check the costs and what are the cage requirments, they all differ by airline.

Thank You, i will check with airline later...

  6. It's possible to do so. I lived in China for 2 1/2 years and took pets there and back. However, you will need verifiable rabies vacinnations and health certificates to do so. I don't believe that the US typically quarantines animals. You should check the cdc web-site at: http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/dq/animal.htm#dogs.

    Best regards,

    PPFKL

PPFKL, what the cost to bring pet dog to the states? how do we ship them? thanks..i hope to hear from u...

  7. I wished I was this lucky in finding a translator. But, the US Embassy told me that they will only accept documents that has been translated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. No other bodies may translate the certificate. I ended up paying about 200 dollars.
I'm assuming you meant the US Embassy in Phnom Penh right? I was always under the impression as long as the person doing the translation signs a document they're fluent in Cambodian and English it doesn't matter.

Holly cow. I guess I better have my fiance get her birth certificate translated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

i got my fiance birth certifciate, our engagement certifcate all translated by Pyramid, please see website...cost me $15 per translation.
