Interview today. All went well and was recommended for approval, so I dont suppose I can get much more than that, but still wont be 100% happy until I get the notice for the Oath. They say it will be about 2 to 4 weeks.
One thing to help other who have not done the interview yet. I got 1 question incorrect.
The question was what did Martin Luther King do.
First I said civil rights and then a added defended civil rights. I got it wrong before it should have been fought for civil rights.
YOU HAVE TO SAY EXACTLY WHAT THEY SAY THE ANSWER IS. or at least that is what happened to me.
The guy apologized afterward saying that he understood what I meant, but he just asks me another question.
So I just wanted to give the group the heads up

Got an alert today saying that an interview has been scheduled, but no documents uploaded to site yet, so done know whether I have a date yet or not. But quite excited at least there is movement.

was a little too optimistic - once it got down to 1 day the message changed to say, It is taking us longer than usual to process your application, so the wait continues. My lawyer says that it is taking about 13 months to get an interview and so this may be March or April 2019 for me now.

I wouldnt take that as gospel as the site seems to add a month to the current month your local office is processing. When I went in, I was able to speak to the manager and he said only 9 months when my site originally said 12 and then 11 and 10 after biometrics. It is all just a waiting game and has a lot to do with how long the background check takes. Everyone is going to be different.

online filing only plays a part in the beginning as the centralized locations for processing have to scan and then maybe data entry certain items. Then it gets sent to local office and it depends upon their processing time. The mailing or online filing is irrelevant. I mailed mine and have an IOE number just like people who filed online, so the local office wouldnt know the difference. I just hope we all get processed quickly.

You need to take it all in as not all the information you uploaded will even be looked at. For example, I went through a lawyer and he didnt send my tax records in or other documentation as it wasnt needed at that time. Other things like proof of rental payments, military service, etc. So I would take everything you have with you as you dont know what they have looked at and what they havent. Better to be on the side of caution I think. I have a big suspension folder with it all in it including all the NOAs from USCIS. Take everything. Good luck

I got that message on the app on my phone, but on the myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov is displays the "We reviewed your biometrics" message.

you dont actually need to upload your taxes, you just take them with you when you have the interview. I used a lawyer who has done this many many times and so I would take what he says as truthful. Dont panic, just have the transcripts for the interview and they may not even look at them, it all depends.

From my understanding NYC filers tend to wait longer than usual since it's a busier area, but crossing my fingers that everything goes smoothly. Wishing the best of luck to everyone!
There is such a backlog now, I looked and saw that they are over 6K people in front of me in Las Vegas, hence why it seems to take so long, they can only do so many interviews in one day. GC for work now need interviews as well and so this has taken the officers away from N400 interviews.

Had biometrics appointment today. Couldnt have gone smoother. Arrived about 40 mins early as I didnt know where the place was and waited in the car until 10 mins before the appointment time. Went straight to counter as only one there for biometrics at the time. After the lady took my fingerprints I asked about renewing my green card as it expires in October, She asked me to take a seat so I could speak with the manager. The manager came out about 2 mins later and looked at my green card and said that I could come back any Wednesday afternoon and get the stamp in my passport and they wouldnt have me pay for the green card renewal as I was in the citizenship process.
On my account it said that it would be March 2019 and now it says February 2019 (10 months) but the manager told me that it would be around 9 months so I am hoping the manager is correct or that it happens even sooner as mine is a pretty straight forward case. I had looked on line though and found that there are over 6k people waiting in Las Vegas so it will no doubt take time.

I think the speed is more dependent upon other things like the time it takes to get the background check back, some people can take 48 hours while others can take 90 days. We can definitely monitor it here to see whether mine will be slower by filing vie mail than online, but it hasnt seem to be so far. My estimated processing time is March 2019 and this is solely based on the fact that Las Vegas is only processing Feb 17 applications now, but I will update once I complete my biometrics and get any update.

This is where people have mailed their application in. I went through a lawyer and he didnt want to file online and said that the only time difference was about 2 to 3 days for the initial center to scan in the information and create file. The processing at the local office is not affected by being mail or online or so he said. Time will tell.

you can check with your local office if they allow walk ins, but I took a look at mine (Las Vegas) and they do not but they do allow info path appointments before my scheduled appointments. It looks like they do them here on Mondays. I would look at that option.
