  1. I've stopped calling NVC since I had to reschedule my medical from the 9th to the 23rd of august, I figured I could get the interview letter by the 9th but that didn't happen. Now I'm kinda glad I don't have to call just to feel rejected everyday lol. Just gonna wait on the email.

Anyone know a link on how to expedite the interview date process? I need a date still and I have documents proving my mother in law is dying from a terminal illness, wondering if that will speed things up on their end...

I am very sorry to hear about your mother in law, I have been through what your wife is going through now.  I pray for your wife for God's strength through this difficult time. Your wife really needs you be postive and also be strong for her. My father died over three months ago and my husband did not get a chance to meet him due this process. My husband was  denied K1 visa  in December 2016, I left my sick father and went to Ghana to got married with his permission. When I came back from  Ghana my father's sickness has gotten worse. My father loved my husband like his own son and told my husband three before he died that he was disappointed that he could not meet him. I am here to help your wife if she needs my support. God is in control and his will shall be done. Best of luck.

Thanks for the kind words its much appreciated. I'm staying strong for my wife i never show weakness in front of her, just hard eeping a woman together for 2 years of a long distance relationship now but we're making it through. its almost over...

@Ajmm no such luck! Everything, every step of this process is about waiting.

Just think positive. Where is your embassy located?

    Sweden

its really hard to stay positive. its not just missing my wife, her mother is dying from a disease called MSA, she could die any day now and i worry ill never meet her in person (just been skype so far). My wife has been trying to keep herself together but she really needs me. USCIS denied our expedition case that we tried filing twice. there's no hope, im afraid she'll die soon.

I think this is normal. They don't need to mail documents to the consulate since our filing was electronic so it won't take time for our information to reach that office, as it would if it were being physically mailed or sent via diplomatic courier. My impression is that this is what happened last month too based on what I saw in timelines from people who were assigned interviews in July. I don't think we need to worry about this. I think we should all sit tight and expect interviews to be scheduled in the next week or so. 🙂

Wait is this true? I've been using that DHL trick to check to see if any docs have been sent to sweden (im swedish) but nothing, i filed with CEAC, so there's no 'in transit' for us just being sent electronically? If so that is a little relief because im really hoping for an interview date this week.

Theoretically, you can. Just be sure to confirm with the embassy that they have received your file from NVC first—otherwise the officer will not be able to interview you on the scheduled date.

Also check the available dates for a medical exam.

I got a medical booked for 9th of august which is why im anxious to get my interview letter from the embassy/NVC

    Thanks!
