  1.

            Hi,

My petition I-130 for my wife was approved by the Charleston Field Office in South Carolina. I got an approval letter in April, 2019. I was told they will send my petition to the NVC, but they have not sent it yet. I was told their computer system is upgrading once it finishes, then they will send it.  I am wondering why does it take that long for them to send it the NVC. I hope someone can answer my question and Thank you very much in advance.

    Sincerely,

Yes it happens but rarely... If USCIS feels the marriage isn't bonafide they might call in the petitioner for a face to face interview, after that they might either approve or deny the petition...which in his case was approve..

Yes, it happened to my case I-130. I was called for an interview, and a day later approved my petition. My case came from Potomac Service Center, and I know quite a few people have to go through the same process.

But I want to understand... you’re the petitioner and got called in for an interview in order to approve the I-130?

  4. Hi,

I have got a letter from The USCIS that my petition i130/CR 1 visa has been approved. Now, I believe my petition would be heading to NVC. I would like to know how long would it take to hear from NVC? Do they need a police report from my wife's country to submit it along with other documents to NVC? Or not?

I would really appreciate your help if someone can answer my questions and i say thank you in advance.

It happens sometimes when they need more information from you before approving the I-130. There was one person from my February 2016 I-130 filers group who had to attend a local interview. She had to take additional evidence of the bona fide nature of their marriage with her.

I got i130 approval letter today by mail.

They can ask for you to attend the interview. It is not common but it is also not unusual. They can ask for whomever to attend the interview.

My i130 petition got approve today.

Hello, this is my current situation as well. The interview letter tells you at the bottom what documents to provide. They asked for his passport among other things.

My i130 petition got approve today.

    Hi,

I filed my i130 visa petition for my wife who lives oversaes. On July, 2017 my petition was accepted at Potomac SC for processing. On march 2018 i got a letter to come for interview with any evidence and my date was for interview April, 10 2019.

I had an interview this morning and everything was i guess smooth. I answered all my questions and the officer was in good mood.

I want to know how long would it take to response because she was reviewing my documents. Please i would really appreciate in thanks in advance for your response.

  9. I have filed CR1 visa petition for my wife, and she lives overseas. I got a letter from Charleston, SC to come for an interview and even my wife is overseas. I don't know what kind of documents do, they would need for the interview?  If someone has an experience and would like to share it with me. what kind of questions do they ask or documents need?

  11. Hi,

I have file a petition for my on July, 2017 and my case was sent to Potomac Service Center.

On Jan, 2019 I got a letter that my case was sent to a local field office for processing.

On March, 08 I got a letter from the local office asked me to come for the interview  next month.

Is it usual to go for the interview because my wife is overseas and why they are interviewing me?

Please can someone answer and tell me what documents should I take with me?

  12. Hi,

I have filed a petition I-130 for my wife on July 21, 2017, got my receipt on July 27, 2017. I haven't heard anything from Potomac service center since my receipt.

I have called, written and contact senators, but my case is under the security check.

How long does it take to clear this process?

What can i do right now? I would really appreciate  your help if someone can answer me.

    Sincerely,
