Congrats!!
Could you tell us what did include in your package? thanks
Thanks! Here's the exact list we included:
1. Our daughter's birth certificate ( i gave birth march last year), here i also attached our birth announcement card
with our daughter's picture & me & my husband's inset pic (the real announcement card i attached) & the welcome
card for our daughter from President Bush.
2. 2007 Christmas Card from President Bush with our name & address.
3. POwer bills that's in both of our names.
4. Lease Agreement from our previous land lord & our present land lord.
5. Marriage Contract
6. Receipt from the furniture store where we bought our furnitures & apppliances.
7. Since we moved from one state to another (we moved 3 times) since we appplied for the AOS, i attached a list of
our address & the reason for moving & then i attached some documents to support why we need to move, i.e.
Job Offers.
8. 2006 & 2007 Income Tax
9. Health insurance- here i attached a copy of my,my husband"s & the daughter's insurance card.
10. Car ownership & insurance on both our names.
These are just exactly what we submitted. And i guess, it also helped when you explain the docs that you attached.

This is fast! We filed Nov 21,2008 did my bio Dec 18,2008. I dont know if it co-incide with the help we asked our state senator yesterday or California Service Center is going fast now. I was just worried about the timelines because it says 6 months, my 2 year GC will expire this month & i have set to travel home next month,so my husband decided to call the senator office yesterday before making an info-pass. The secretary asked him to print a form, filled the form & fax it to their office, which we did. Then last night at work i decided to check my email & got this surprise. So,to all VJ'ers on the same status, just hang in there. We too have a limited docs, but sure is we passed!!!!

does a NOA arrives first than biometrics? or it comes after the biometrics? So that i will know when to get an info-pass.
-
OK. But i havent received any NOA. I just did my biometrics.
-
Is it really this slow? We sent our application Nov 21 2008, my card will expire in Jan 31,2009. I am set to go home for a vacation on Feb 20,2009, by this time you think i will have my new card already? I want to know before i buy my tickets. We're at California Service Center. Thanks!
-
Pls add me: Removal of Condition sent 11/21/08 - biometrics 12/18/08
-
How will you receive a NOA or bio appointment after they cashed your check? We sent our docs to USCIS California, they cashed our check nov 26., just curious
-
We did mailed our docs & application for removal of conditions today....now the waiting begins.....

The I-751 should feel right because that is the form..

So when you say "the window open to apply begins 90 days prior to the card's expiration" means that you can submit everything within that window period & not necessarily on the first day? Am i making sense? My card expires Jan 31,2009 so my window period starts Nov 2,2008, do i need to submit everything for removal of conditions exactly Nov 2? or i can submit anytime starting Nov 2 & before my card expires? Im confused, pls help. Thanks

Hi! My Conditional greencard expires on jan.31,2009 & i believe that we need to apply for removal of conditions by November,my question now is when in November? Or i can send the papers by first of November, does it matter? Plus we have a very limited evidence like, rent contract, utilities, insurance & the birth of our daughter this year. But,car insurance, phone bills are all under my husband's name (he always forget to put my name),is this enough evidence? And i also worry because since we applied for the adjustment status,we moved in 2 different states (we originally from East Coast then moved to California then now here in Nevada),its all work related, should i need to explain the reasons? Im starting to get nervous again, just like when applying for the adjustment, now here we go again... and if the expiration date of my greencard comes to an end & i still haven't got my removal yet, will this affect my present employment? Thanks for the time.
-
same here... we're due to file for the removal of conditions next year, but the only thing that we have our both names on are the apartment lease & joint bank account & insurance. other than that, like utility bills, car registration etc were all under my husband's name (he always just put his name on utility bills...). but we're going to have our first child by march next year before we file for the removal of conditions if everything will be fine with my pregnancy. i hope this will be enough

been out of the forum for quite sometime because we moved from east coast to the west coast, but now were settled. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! And to all others who already received their approvals- A BIG CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

Thank you so much for the sentiments. They mean a lot to us and we're going to stick around here to see the continued success stories for the rest of us. Thanks for including our happiness in your day today.
You're welcome. I have the same feelings too,VJ really do helped us in our own AOS journey, that's why even after our AOS approval,my husband & I still frequently visit this forum to be part of other VJers success & be there to give support to others who are starting & still on the waiting game (even if we should be on the other thread alreday).
More approvals to come!!!!!!

What will happen to one's I-94 card attached to one's passport if you already got approved for your AOS without interview? Can I detach the card myself or just let it stay there? What about if i want to travel out of the country? Is the greencard enough to show for me to re-enter the US?
-
Hi everyone,
Just got an email to say that the Green Card has been approved and I will receive within 60 days ! The letter was sent yesterday so hopefully I will get that Monday. I guess I still have to go for the interview and everything?! (not sure). Anyway Im absolutely thrilled and can't believe its all over for a few years!! I filed my AOS the last day of December 2006 so this has been very quick I think. Good luck to everyone waiting.
Congratulations!!! I got my GC in the mail 7 days after i received the approval notification in the email. More approvals to come!!!!
