Hi everyone,
We sent my husband's AOS packet on July 29th and it was delivered July 31st. His K-1 Visa just expired yesterday (August 15th) and we have not received any receipt numbers or NOA1 yet. Is he now illegally in the country? What are we supposed to do? Is there any way to know if they even received the packet from the post office or whether it is lost? Is anyone else still waiting for their NOA1s?

Sorry my earlier links are now dead. The embassies all changed their web address a number of months ago. But here is the steps for payment and such.

My fiance's application was recently mailed from the NVC to the embassy in Phnom Penh. I only received an email notifying me of this. I have not received any letters in the mail stating the next steps. My fiance is from Cambodia where mail is not easy to deliver. Should we complete the DS-160 now or wait for the Embassy to send us some information? Does anyone have any experience with the embassy in Phnom Penh?

Hello everyone,
I am in need of advice. I may need to change my address soon due to unforeseeable circumstances. My fiance's K-1 Visa application is currently waiting to be adjudicated at the California office. If I change my address will it negatively affect the processing time or the application itself? How would I go about changing it? I don't want to do anything to jeopardize the application. What are the experiences that some of you have had with changing addresses?
Thank you so much for any advice.

My fiance in Cambodia was just laid off from work. I filed our K-1 Visa in August and it is currently waiting to be adjudicated at the California Service Center. Will his change in jobs impact the application? Does he need to be employed by the time of the interview? My job situation is still stable.
Thank you for any help!

Best to put N/A than leave a blank space as it shows you have not merely forgotten to fill out that part or made a mistake. Write a cover letter explaining as you have here to avoid confusion. I understood what you meant so it should be fine.
Thanks for the advice! I will add the information to my cover letter

Hi everyone,
I need some advice on how to fill out these K-1 visa lines
Part 1: 1.c.
Part 2: 24.c. and 29.c.
These are the middle names of my Fiance, and his parents. In his culture people do not have middle names, so for the K-1 visa do I just leave the space blank or do I need to write N/A or None?
Second question:
For line Part 2:14.a. which is my Fiance's second physical address, his address is his home in a rural village. There are no street names or house numbers. He only has the name of the village and the province. Should I leave the line blank or write N/A? Or should I just omit his village address since he has an address in the capital city?
Thank you so much!

Hello everyone,
I have not started the application process for my fiance yet since I am still living abroad. I will return to the US next month where I will hopefully find a job soon and then apply for the K-1 Visa. I am confused about the Affidavit of Support requirements. What is the minimum yearly income that I need to earn? I want to keep this in mind as I search for jobs. Does my work need to be full time? I graduated university last year and have only been working abroad for 1 year. Is it a requirement to have substantial income for the last 5 years?
Thank you for the help!

I actually just called the USCIS and they informed me his application was rejected for being filed improperly. I am at a loss for what to do. I guess our only course of action is to lawyer up and hope ICE doesn't come knocking.
