    Hi everyone,

I need your advice. My interview date is september 25th and i am trying to collect all the paperwork to bring with me to the interview.I read everywhere that i should bring a copy of i-485 and i-130 with me to the interview just in case. However, my lawyer keeps telling me that I dont need to bring any copies of those forms. She is refusing to give me the copies and I am just upset and nervaous about it.I dont understand why she is being so stubborn. Can you please enlighten me about this? do I still need to bring a copy of i-485 and i-130? is it a big problem if i dont?

I didn't need the copy if the forms, the officer had everything.

You have to have the originals of everything.

I am not saying you won't need the copy of the forms, but most likely you won't need it.

However, you should know your answers on the form by memory..

    Hey!

    Congratulations, how exciting!

I was wondering if you could give us any tips for the interview and what paperwork you needed to provide. Any help would be greatly apprecaited.

    Thank you in advance :)

    Thanks 😀

My interview was very fast and simple. The officer didn't ask for half of the documents that I took, not even the pictures.

I would take all that it is mentioned in the interview letter and one thing that I had but I didn't know that they needed is proof of physical address, I had a letter from the doctor with my physical address and my husband just used his drivers license.

I think the amount of documents depends on the officer you get. Some officer that I saw there seemed to be in a terrible mod and were very rude.

I was very nervous but the officer was trying to lighting up the mod.

One thing that the officer told me was that many people fail on getting the "dates right". She said that "our dates match".

My main advice would be to be prepared and have all your documents (originals and copies). And don't start a conversation just answer what you are asked.

Good luck for all of you guys.

Just be confident, there's nothing to fear.

  3. Hey guys I have a question. And maybe someone can help me.

I request an expedite on July 11, on July 17 I received an email saying that they are reviewing my case and would contact me if they need anything.

Coincidentally my interview got scheduled for August 30. However, I haven't heard nothing about the expedite case, no even a request to sent the job offer.

    Is this normal?

    Something wrong with my case?

I am very surprised by the interview so soon, my field office usually takes 20 months and I applied in March.

I just received my letter for my interview and came with a list of documents,  even some that I have already sent. Is it a base letter same for everyone?

Also do I need to sent letter from the employer with wage and hours or just the pay stubs? (For the I864)

Thank you so much guys for all the help in this group.

One more thing. Do they stop processing the EAD when you get the interview scheduled? I haven't heard nothing about my EAD expedite.

Well you are lucky then.....will probably receive an appointment letter in a week or so.....Dont worry about EAD at this point....focus on your interview and getting approved, soon GC will be in hands and that is all you need.

Good luck and read my interview experience so you can take some ideas for your interview date.

    Thank you..

    Hopefully everything goes smoothly..

On July 12 I requested my ead to be expedited.

On July 17 I received an email saying that they were reviewing my case and would contact me with a response or requesting more documents.

Yesterday my I 485 updated and said that my case is ready to be scheduled for an interview.

I haven't received nothing about the ead, no even asking for supporting docs. Is it normal?

And be ready for an interview doesn't mean much righ?

Does the EAD expedite affects the other forms?

Yesterday my AOS status change for "Interview scheduled". However no news on a EAD expedite.

you should use the help of your congressman, provide them with job offer and show financial hardship if you can, and expedite.

There is no wrong answer. Worse case scenario is you are denied the expedite and return to your place in queue prior to your request to expedite.

I put  in EAD expedite based on financial hardship last Friday. Will update as soon as I get any word.

    Thanks

I will try to contact you congressman, and see what they say.

Please keep us updated in your case

They send them out every two weeks your case hasn’t been touched on their end. I received the same mails on Sunday and Monday with last touch dates 9/10 April. You probably submitted the I485 and I765. That’s why you receive two. I131 and I765 are one status email for them since it is being worked on together.

    Thanks..

I guess I just have to wait hahahah

We are still reviewing your case and there are no updates at this time

We will notify you when your case status changes. We last took action on your case on April 11, 2018.

I keep receiving this message but no status change on the case tracker. The odd thing is that the date keep changing.

Yesterday I received one saying that they last took action on my case on April 10, this morning I received this one saying that they last took action on my case April 11. No status change though, last update there saying that they received my case.

    Is this normal?
