Small update:
I was placed in the Oath Scheduling "Que" (I am puzzled why the USCIS insists on misspelling this word) on Tuesday, July 22 exactly one day after being approved. Seven days in line to date. Wondering if I'll be scheduled for August's judicial ceremony or September's. The judicial ceremonies for the Miami field office are only held once a month.

Hi everyone. I had my interview today. The appointment was for 9:30am, I got there at 9:10. They officer call my name at 9:40. Total interview time was about 10 minutes. First part: she went over my application, asked my name and if I wanted to change it, my address, my phone number, where I work and my profession. About 10 questions from the yes or no portion. Then she asked me to read three sentences and write down "The congress meets in Washington".
The civics test questions:
- What are the two parts of the U.S. congress?
- Who is commander in chief of the military?
- What is the political party of the president now?
- Who wrote the declaration of independence?
- There were 13 original colonies. Name three.
- Name one state that borders Mexico.
After that she told me: you passed , you should be getting a letter in the next couple of weeks with the date of the Oath Ceremony.

Biometrics completed today at USCIS New Orleans (Metairie). We arrived about 30 minutes early for my 2:00 P.M. appointment and the place was very crowded. Metairie holds Oath Taking Ceremonies every Wednesday. My husband and I were pleased that we were allowed to stay and watch the Ceremony. 49 new citizens from 26 countries were sworn in, and I was very impressed. Hopefully, I will be standing there taking my oath in the next 2 or 3 months. Before the Ceremony all the applicants lined up to proof read and sign their certificates. They turned in their green cards and then went back to their assigned seats. One of the USCIS officers sang the National Anthem followed by a few remarks from the Regional Director. Then the applicants were sworn in. We watched a televised welcome speech by Obama, then we all sang Lee Greenwood's "I'm Proud to be an American" Representatives from the Dept of State Passport Office were there along with another table for voter registration (League of Women Voters). Everyone from USCIS was very polite and helpful. My Biometrics took about 5 minutes, but we stayed until the Oath Ceremony was completed. No problem taking cell phones, cameras, kids, relatives. Casual dress was the norm.....slacks and a blouse for the ladies. Only 2 or 3 wore dresses.

Keep your chin up, you will probably be okay. If you look at the instructions for the N-400 under Processing information it states the following:
Processing Information
Any Form N-400 that is not signed or accompanied by the
correct fee will be rejected. Any application that is not
completed in accordance with these instructions, is missing
pages or otherwise not executed in its entirety, or is not
accompanied by the required initial evidence may also be
rejected. If your Form N-400 is rejected, the form and any
fees will be returned to you and you will be notified why
the form is considered deficient. You may correct the
deficiency and resubmit Form N-400. An application or
petition is not considered properly filed until accepted by
USCIS.
Your application was accepted and should be considered properly filed. If the USCIS felt it was not properly filed it should have been sent back to you with an explanation on why the form was considered deficient.
Although that being said, I don't want to get your hopes ups as this section is not always accurate. We were told my wife's N-400 was not properly filed and she was told to withdraw her application at the interview and resubmit. So in our case the USCIS accepted our application but then decided at the interview stage that it had not been properly filed. The reason was that we had moved from Ohio to Tennessee in December and had not met the required 3 months in district requirement. Good news is we were able to file again immediately, bad news we are out an additional $595.00 application fee.

Truth is no one knows.... you can hear of people getting their visa in 3 days or 3 weeks or even 3 months.
What delivery did you specify when you setup the interview?
Sounds like home delivery will give your fiancee time with her family, and it would only be a couple days different then if she were to wait in Manila.

This is what you have to do, expose her at work. Possibly get both of them fired. Stop being a victim. Call her family in her country and let them know as well. She will go bizerk, but she will get over it. Expose, expose, expose. Affairs are more attractive when secret... File for divorce and kick her out. She is gaining control of you and the situation when asking for time and space to think about it. Filing for D does not mean you lose your W or family forever, but it is the only chance you have to reestablish some respect and regain control of the situation.
Be strong, like a rock and do not yield, only take her back if she's begging and pleading and you feel comfortable with taking her back. This goes the same if sexes were reversed. She is deep in the affair fog and until she wakes up, you can't do anything to persuade her. Check the term affair fog on google.
I know this might sound counter-intuitive, but trust me. If she sees you as weak it will be the end. She will continue to cheat and eventually leave you for good.
Keep us posted on how things go for you from a legal standpoint and an immigration standpoint with your situation. Sorry you are going through this!

OMG!! I'm so sorry about that It's really so sad that this happens to you because I can't imagine how happy and excited you were when your visa got approved and thinking of coming here in the US after all the waiting in this long processing. In my opinion, It's really not good for you to come here if you are not gonna be with your husband. I got also a spouse visa like you. When I arrived at the port of entry, the immigration officer asked me of my purpose in entering the US and of course my answer is TO BE WITH MY HUSBAND. It's so hard to lie and commit fraud here in the US, trust me it's very scary. We need to be honest in our immigration process to avoid deportation and forever be banned in entering here. From applying LPR to Citizenship, they need you to submit proofs of your relationship of living together based on marriage, documents like joint accounts, joint income tax returns, photos, birth certificates if you have children together, utility bills with both your names etc...And it's really hard to be an illegal immigrant here, you cannot drive and work freely. It's sad to have that kind of husband that treats you like that, it hurts but life must go on. You will really have a peace of mind if everything is done the right and legal way. I just wish you the best of luck. Don't forget to pray God and ask His guidance in this times of trials. I wish you the best and hoping you will meet the right man for you and be happy forever with him. God bless
