Congrats! Just curious ... Where did you interview (City/State?). And when did you file for AOS? I don’t see any timeline or info in your profile
We had the interview at Tempa FL. We filed for AOS in late Jan. It is faster than I thought. I didn't put any timeline
I flied for AP the same time but it was very slow. After the interview, I checked online my AP application was cancelled.

Hi Guys,
Today my husband (USC) and I went to green card interview. Before that I was nervous because I felt like we didn't have enough documents to prove our relationship. So we only provided our lease agreement, electricity bill, health insurance document, my military ID that my husband got it for me, around 30 photos of us, 4 pages of screenshots of our chat history and 5 pages of screenshots of our face book posts with both of our pictures on it. We didn't have any joint bank accounts or joint credit cards because when we went to the bank, I was told that I need either a green card, a US passport or a driver's license as primary ID to add my name onto his bank account but I have none of those IDs. I was a bit worried about this but during the interview, we explained to the IO and he was fine about this.
So the interview process:
At the beginning, the IO looked quite serious. He asked us questions separately and did not allowed the other one to interrupt while one was answering questions. He first asked me when and how I met my husband, my husband's date of birth, his middle name, where he was born, where he lived before, his family members, his job before, mother in law's name, have I met his family. Then he asked my husband the date of us getting married, my date of birth, my parents's name, where I was born, what my job was before I came here, do I work now. Because my parents names are Chinese so when my husband answered my parents names, he was a little confused and didn't say them right. But the IO asked second time of my parents' names and finally he got them right.
Then I gave him our documents, photos. He looked at our photos and my husband said we can explain our photos. He took all of our photos.
After this part, he gave me a document telling me that I would receive my conditional green card and I need to file for removal of conditional green card for permanent green card within 90 days before it expires. So I know I got approved! Then he asked me some questions like if I have ever committed crimes, a list of questions and I all answered no.
After we left USCIS, my husband and I were so relieved and happy that it went well. Then we went shopping haha
In general, the interview went well and my husband and I smiled sometimes when we answered questions, so did the IO. It made the atmosphere not that stressful
I hope my experience helps you guys and good luck in your interview!

Aww that's not very nice of that bank. My understanding is that you can open a bank account (not a credit card, mortgage or investments) without IDs issued by the U.S. Can you not use your passport and perhaps your SSN if you have it?
My husband (dual citizen of Canada and US) and I moved from Canada. Our Canadian bank has an affiliated bank in the US; and it's pretty much all online service. And we've been using that account for several years now. We just downloaded our statements from online banking.
I don't know if this helps But good luck on your interview. I'm sure you'll be fine without the joint bank account!
We had our interview today and it went well. Thank you for your answer!;)

You are so welcome! And you really don't need to worry about the interview. Our interview was very easy. The officer didn't tell me I was approved at first. But I just straight up asked him LOL And then he told me that I was and gave me an approval notice.
My interview was on Friday but the case status wasn't updated until Sunday night. It did show that I was approved on Friday though.
Sorry to bother you again haha I read your shared experience of the interview. Our situation are a bit alike haha About the joint documents, how did you get a joint bank account with your husband here? My husband and I went to the bank trying to get a joint bank account once but the bank didn't allow me because I don't have a primary ID like a green card, a driver's license. I can not get a driver's license without a green card so it leads to a dead end.

Don't worry about it! I had exactly the same issues!!! I brought the AP and EAD notice with me to my interview. But the immigration officer didnt ask about it.
Also my AOS online status had an error message for the longest time on USCIS site (even till now). Try use this one https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/ This site worked but still didn't show any updates for me after the biometrics appointment. I had my interview on Friday May 4th and it finally got updated to green card being produced today. Good luck on your interview
Thank you so much! This is very helpful! I am nervous about the interview haha did the interviewer tell you being approved in the interview?

Hello Guys,
I adjust my status from k1 visa holder. So I will have green card interview soon. When I filed for aos, I also filed for advance parole (i131), but so far I still haven't received the advance parole. Whenever I check online, it always says they mailed me the receipt notice that describes how they will process my case....I only received the receipt notice so far. The green card interview requires me to bring all the immigration related documents ever issued to me like Advance Parole. So when I go to the interview, I should just tell them I filed for advance parole but I haven't received it yet?
And there is another problem. When I input the receipt number of my aos, it shows validation errors so I can't check my status. Do you guys know anything about this?

I seem to recall that my interview notice included a list of documents that should be brought. For a marriage based interview some documents that you should bring are
1) Passport- with a copy of all pages
2) Original Marriage certificate
3) Originals of any documents that you submitted as evidence with the application.
4) Originals and copies of any additional evidence that you wise to present (eg. most recent taxes, bank statements since submitting the application)
5) Old immigration documents and copies of the originals
Its not an extensive list. One item that surprised me (an my lawyer) was that they wanted to a copy of every page of my passport for the file.
You should bring a copy of any documents that you bring that wish to keep. The IO can usually make copies, but it is easier to have a copy available for the file.
Good luck on the interview
Thank you for your help! Copy every page of passport, you mean to copy every page of passport with stamps on it or it includes blank page?

How are you eligible for AOS? Bring the documents that proof why you are eligible to file for AOS. Without more info about you, no one can really help you. If you are adjusting based on marriage bring the marriage certificate and documents that show that you entered the country legally. If you adjusted from a K1 visa, bring that plus the marriage certificate. If you are adjusting through an employer bring your employment visa and I-94 etc. ...
Thank you for your answers! It reminds me that i forgot to mention i came here as a K1 visa holder. So I need to bring marriage certificate, my k1 visa thats all to prove my eligibility for AOS?

Hello guys,
I received a letter from USCIS informing me the date of green card interview. I have some questions about the materials that I should bring to the interview. Of the document list, there is one saying that i need to bring all documentations establishing your eligibility for lawful permanent resident status. I am not sure what documentations it refers to exactly. Does anyone know? Please help! Thank you!

No worries.
Tricare is not a benefit in the benefit way, although you get it through the government, since you're a military spouse as well, I assume.
Governmental benefits would be something like food stamps or so.
Roughly explained. So: all good, no worries!thank you so much for your answer. hope the process goes smooth

Hi Guys,
I got my conditional green card last year may. right now I plan to go to college and need to apply for financial aid. if I apply for financial aid for school, will USCIS go after my sponsor (my husband) to reimburse the benefits I receive? will it affect the removal of conditional green card status next year?
thanks a lot
