  1. What type of visa are you waiting for? What does the status on the CEAC say?  Have you tried to call the hotline,  what do they say?  I used this number to call them : +52 656 344 3003

I had to contact the consulate via the public inquiry form. You can find it here https://mx.usembassy.gov/embassy-consulates/ciudad-juarez/visas-2/public-inquiries/

How long have you been waiting? We were told the visa is finally ready,  we are in Juarez hoping to pick it up tomorrow. I will not believe it until we have it in our hands.

  2. Hello all,

Our Fiance visa was approved May 30, 2018 in Juarez Mexico.  Visa was issued according to the CEAC website June 4th, but we still do not have a tracking number. I am getting discouraged and worried about this. Especially when some folks have received  their visa three days after approval. :(  We are going on Week 3 here. I keep calling the consulate help line and they wont say anything except to keep waiting. My fiance and I were thinking about heading back to Juarez in person and seeing if we could speak to someone in person. Not sure how helpful this would be though. Anybody else go through this?

    Thanks,
    Caroline

  4. @MariaR323 I have a few follow up questions.. regarding packet 3. We have scheduled the consular interview appointment, completed the Ds-160 and scheduled our appointment with ACS. I have not received packet 3 or the invitation letter stating that we can begin the process... even though I have completed all these steps. I am planning to do as you advised, which is to go to the information window and request for them to print a copy of it for us. I am a little nervous, but I guess there is nothing more for me to do and hope that it will work.

I was wondering when you asked them to print the invitation letter, how did you frame the situation? How did you word what you needed? I want to be clear as to what i am asking.

Also, you needed this letter in order to enter the medical exam and fingerprints correct? I have the confirmation page from the DS-160 and the instruction page that highlights the details of our interviews and finger point appointment.

    Thanks!

  5. Hello,

I am wondering if someone could help with some questions i have regarding my case. Looks like the case is ready for interview according to the CEAC website. My questions are the following

    1) Can i make an appointment right away or do i need to wait for a letter

    2) throughout many forums and online instructions it says that a confirmation letter will come with the appointment date and time. we have an issue in that my fiance has moved since the time of the original application. Will we be able to update his address when we go online to schedule the interview.

    3) Does the confirmation of interview date come by email as well? Will i get a copy of this interview date?

    3) Similarly, will i also receive a packet of instructions just as he will from the embassy?

    4) Is this the same packet of instructions that can be found online... any reason to wait for them to come in the mail?

any help or guidance appreciated. @Naes do you have any insights?

    Thanks,
    Caroline

  7. Hello everyone!

I am an August Filer and I had a question about one particular step.  It was recommended I reach out to folks that are ahead of us in line as you may have already dealt with this issue. I was on the embassy website looking at the instructions and forms to fill out once our petition reaches the embassy. It states that my fiance has to "obtain police certificates from all places he has lived since the age of 16". My questions are the following:

    1) Does this just involve going to the police station and asking for proof that he has not been involved with any crime?

    2) Has anyone completed this step or is anyone familiar with the process.

My fiance lives in Mexico. Any help or clarification on this step would be great!

    Many many thanks :)

There is an rfe that's for sure but it is not printed, updated or sent yet. It is already in the system. Uscis won't tell you what's it about till you get your letter. Otherwise everyone would call

You'll get rfe, and the review will continue after they received your reply.

Any idea how far this sets us back? I know there are no guarantees in his type of thing. Just wanted to know what a reasonable expectation might be. Anyone have any insight on how this might affect my timeline.

    Again thanks for the community.

  10. Hello, I have a question and hope someone might be able to shed some light on the issue. I have been reading the thread and many precious threads for a while now.

I just got off the phone with an officer and was told that a RFE was “ordered” for my case but not yet sent out. I tired to get more clarity but I am still slightly confused. Does anyone know if this means there could be a possibility that the RFE was ordered and will be reviewed and then not be sent out? In other words is there a possibility that the order will not be sent out for RFE and the case can continue to be reviewed?

    Many many thanks!
