  1. Hi Danny,

I did not have a follow-to join K2 but after reading the I-485 instructions, it would seem that follow-to-join K2s have the same AOS process as a regular K2. The only difference is follow-to-join K2 (14 yrs. and below) pay a higher fee of $930 instead of $600 if filing with parent.

You may want to refer your friend to the links below.

Hopefully, other VJ members who are more knowledgeable about the process could put in their two cents.

Thank You Cora! I would like to add, her friends son is5 years old..

  2. Hello. My wife has a friend who came here on a K-1 Jan. of 09 and got married within the 90 days and adjusted her status. She left her son in the Philippines who followed and joined her in Dec. 09. Since she has done her AOS, how does she do the AOS for her son?? Any help or advice would be appreciated!

I need to let her know exactly what forms to send in and any evidences that may be needed.

We did the K-1 and K-2 but our K-2 came here with his mother.

  3. Has he gotten lost? Did the boat sink on the last trip out? Did he get locked up while on some week long bender in Juarez?? WTH man?!? Oh wait, or has he been hit over the head with the banhammer?? I haven't seen one person running for the door with tears all welled up in their eyes after one of his replys in weeks now - somehow the place just isn't the same :crying:

Kevin.. TCO and his buddies were planning a trip to the PI at about this time. He is probably over there muching on some Balut right now.... :P

  4. It's official, she'll be here Feb. 4. All the papers have proper name, address, etc. no mistakes.

Sorry, I keep doing that... It was Jan. 14. It doesn't matter I was worried for nothing!! OMG I'm so happy!! I get to see my future wife again!

I remember almost 3 years ago when I felt what you are feeling now.... What a rush!!!!! Good luck to you both!

  5. My fiance (now, my hubby ^_^ ) and I got married in the civil court last week! :D:D Now our next step is to apply for my AOS and Advance Parole (we also would want to have a church wedding in the Philippines). I've been reading the steps here on the VJ site and they look more complicated than ever because of so many papers to file! Any suggestions on how to make these next steps easier for us as possible?

    Thanks in advance! :)

Congrats! Just follow the guides for your AOS and you will be ok. It's not as difficult as you think. You will be ok as long as you fill in the forms correctly and give them the documents that they need. Good luck to you!

  6. I think they frequent those places because they are usally open 24 hours...

They usually get their drinks for free from these 24 hour Convenience stores. Just their presence alone deters robberies or other problems. The store management takes care of them just for this reason.

A cop can't run or shoot straight if he doesn't have any donuts in his system..... :P

  7. Im not like those guys at all though, I agree 100% that women want a stable man and that man can be stable at any age. I can definately see how the posts sound "self serving" and "full of hubris" but it was just a question, curious to see what people would say and how they perceive themselves and what not. I like your posts Ive agreed with both of them.

Why worry about it when it doesn't even affect you? Ask yourself these questions when your wife starts showing her years and you being 7 years younger start wondering if you made the right decision. Ask yourself if your wife will tolerate an unemployed husband for long? Just like I said in another post. I am 51 years old, but I'll scrap with any 20 year old and come out it smiling.... :D

  8. Life is too short to worry about all the "WHAT IF'S".... Age is just a number. You can't put a price on Love and Happiness. I am 21 years older than my wife. I wasn't looking for a younger wife, nor was she looking for a older man. We both know one day the good lord will take me, but in the mean time, we are going to enjoy our lives to the fullest. I am 51 years old. It just means that I have 51 years of experience.

I don't worry about what other people think. I got better things to do! Whether I have 10 years or 40 years left to live, we are going to live each day like it was our last. BTW, I couldn't have picked anyone any better than My Ruchie. She defines what true love is all about. I gotta go now. Gotta find my bottle of Geritol and change my Depends(Adult Diaper) and go to bed.(If I can find where my bed is)... :P
