  1. I've searched the threads but there are so many different references. Can anyone tell me the correct mailing address for the Texas Service Center?
    USCIS
    Attn: AOS
    2501 S. State Hwy. 121 Business
    Suite 400
    Lewisville, TX 75067

This is from the link https://www.uscis.gov/forms/forms-information/uscis-phoenix-and-dallas-lockbox-facilities for mailing it DHL, UPS, Fedex.

But it references other visas. I am fairly sure this is the one but want to make 100% sure.

  2. I see part of the process for a CR-1 visa is to show things like shared assets, etc. I want to add my wife to my checking account, but with just an initial chat (online, I currently live outside US) the rep said they can only do this with a SSN number for her.
Of course, that won't come until later.
I did some basic research and saw that it is possible to have a bank account with an ITIN number. Has anyone done this in the past? Or am I overthinking this and don't really need this portion.

  3. Is there any limit to the number of applications you can petition for? I know that sounds a bit strange, lol.
5 years ago I was engaged to a woman and ultimately we decided to withdraw the application as things didn't work out the way we hoped. We were never actually married as we were looking at the K1 process.

Is there a limit to the application process? I have since met someone and we dated for three years this time prior to getting married. Now looking at moving back to the states.

  4. They do mention: Place where a person has his or her principal residence. The person must intend to keep that residence for the foreseeable future. The sponsor of an immigrant must have domicile in the United States before the visa can be issued. This generally means that the sponsor must be living in the United States. In certain circumstances, however, one can be considered to have a domicile while living temporarily living overseas.

Not sure what certain circumstances are. I don't think this will apply as though in general. I still maintain my principal residence, and I travel to the states about every two months or more on average. My job is international so I am in countries like Peru, Carribean, etc. about twice a month.

  5. We were recently married (in December) after being together for three years. I reside in Guatemala (US Citizen) and my wife is Guatemalan. She has a tourist visa to the states, and has been there about a dozen times.
Had no intention of moving back to the states, but recent changes with my work dictate that I will be returning there as they have asked me to relocate , and don't really have other options.

That being said, we are going to start the process of obtaining a visa for her.   Are there any advantages or disadvantages for having the interview process taken place in the US, or here in country? Not really concerned about travel costs, so mainly looking for processing time, or other things that might come up with one vs. the other.
