  1. Hi, I want to apply for my parents to visit USA. Working on checklist at the moment? Can someone pls share it.

also, my brother is gonna support them.
(Do they need to carry my, my siblings and my brothers birth certificates to prove the relationship?)

also, if they need to carry their marriage documents too?

    im not sure.
    thanks in advance

It's not about the interview, it's about the administrative processing after the interview. It's well-known that people from Pakistan more often than not end up in very lengthy AP, many for years.

It’s not the same for everyone, I see many people getting their visas approved without being putting in an AP, and they’re from Pakistan. It’s different for everyone.

There is nothing in principle to stop you pursuing other visa options when you already have one in progress, assuming you meet the criteria for other visa types. Whether you will be approved and a visa can be issued under the current COVID restrictions is another matter.

Can I get a visit visa while F2A pending?

Go for it, there is no downside.

    But aren’t they banned??

Most work visas are banned, yes.

What about visit visa? It’s a really great opportunity I don’t wanna miss it! :( and I’m a blogger, with huge following. So can I go for O category in this case?

Nothing to worry there. If they ask you about it in the interview, then you can explain why you kept it like that. Don't have second thoughts or anything like that or you will stress yourself out. It's simple and easy and that mean do not ask if you need to do this and that.

The only main reason they just wanna see FB/Social Media handle is to another reason to 'check' aka 'spy' on you to see if you are doing anything to share about your life and your SO. Not everyone do this anyway. FB isn't always about being a celebrity queen. However this is NOT a major decision for the officer to judge on. They will judge if they suspect any of the two are noticeably bending the rule by finding out they are married to another person, etc. which is playing like an evidence if anything is found. How often does this occur? I hardly see any.

Thanks so much for such a relieving response!

  6. Hi,

my case is Filed under F2A in 2017 by my husband, now we are waiting for the interview, but I’ve got an amazing proposal from a very huge company in USA, should I accept it? And go there for temporary period? Would they accept my petition? Are work visas under ban? Please help me out.

You can ask the consular officer to update your DS-260.   No rush it won't be until at least next year to get an interview.

What to update hun? I don’t have his name now, but married to him. Legally filed everything. But I’m worried about Facebook name? 🥺

it’s like e.g. M John Jackson (in this M indicates my name, and other two names my husbands full name. In this case, what should I tell them?

When did  Facebook start requiring your "name" on Facebook account had to be your real name?

And I’m worried about CO, if he’d ask me why I didn’t keep the full name

I’m not sure what you mean when you say he recently had his finger prints taken for another greencard ?? A person only receives one greencard.. You personally can’t chose to skip certain steps but sometimes USCIS will use biometrics from a previous encounter or waive an interview (AOS or ROC- NOT naturalization)  I’ve never seen a reason or heard of N400s being expedited other than military. This is your husbands petition (N400) and I realize your status will depend on his, however, USCIS doesn’t look at it this way as they are independent of each other. Once he is a citizen you can work on expediting your petition. Currently the processing time is 13-48.5 months for Chicago.

also, he got extension stamp on the green card. Which I believe, will be expired in December. Can we put a request?

You're in Pakistan so you likely have a looooong wait ahead of you anyway. An expedite likely won't help your visa anyway.

My interview letter was in my hand, it was scheduled for next week before lockdown so I’m in the front of the queue as soon as the things get back to normal or my husband gets his citizenship because our case was expedited under special circumstances.

Oh okay, no he had a green card which got expired then he applied for another one. Now that he got the other one, and recently gave fingerprints for it, is it possible to skip the fingerprints part?

From my own experience (same situation - my spouses F2A case got expedited for humanitarian reasons, but visa is now banned) the expedite won't be approved. I asked for expedite of my N400 interview (did fingerprints in February) but the request was not accepted. I understand your sentiment, but they don't see this as an emergency.

    Got it!! Thanks so much.

  11. Hi, my husband had his fingerprints appointment in March, which got cancelled due to lockdown. Can we expedite it? Or can we directly have an interview appointment somehow? If we make a request? To compensate the time. He recently gave fingerprints for another green card too. Can we do something? My case is under F2A that’s why I’m under ban. We need to get his status switched to citizen ASAP. Thanks so much!!

  12.
