Congratulations Fellow Colombian and future US citizen! I am very happy for you. Will this be the conditional card or the 10 year green card? *Since you waited for 15 months.

Thank you . Even though it was a long wait, I still get the conditional green card since we haven't been married for two years yet.

  2. Hello everyone . Yesterday we got our interview after such a long wait (15 months ) the interview went well . The officer didn't separate us . We were all ready to answer questions about our relationship, but she never asked anything about it . Questions were about my husband's job .place of residency , etc . We have a baby that we brought with . So she asked for his birth certificate and my updated Medical exam . Then the regular yes/ no questions. My green card was not approved right away because I had a J1 visa with a mandatory 2 year stay in my country , so she wanted to make sure I actually stayed there for that amount of time , but In* general she was pretty confident that it would be fine once she checked my I-94 . She told us to wait until the evening for an online update . So by 7 pm we received the update staying my green card would be issued 1f642.png🙂 1f64c_1f3fd.png🙌🏽1f483_1f3fd.png💃🏽

    July 7th

Hi we got the email notification last week ( August 23) that the interview was scheduled and we will be receiving the letter. I am still waiting for the letter but the lawyer we hired to help us file the whole thing called us saying she also got a notification saying my interview is for October 1.

    I hope that helps.

  5. Hello everyone

This morning I got an  notification on my phone saying that my interview has been scheduled and they will be sending a letter providing the date and more details about the interview.

So my question is how long does it usually take* to get the letter In the mailbox?

Do you have a check-list of the stuff we should bring to the interview?

I am a hotmess now lol.

We filed on June 7, 2017 , AOS married based from a Tourist visa.

    TIA.

We have heard that the interview is often waived for family-based AOS, and we have also heard that the policy has changed and everyone filing for AOS (whether family-based or employment-based) has to have an interview.  So far, all of the recent family-based filers that I have talked to have had an interview.  We filed in June of 2017, so we are hopeful that we will have my husband's interview this summer.  Does anyone know if it makes a difference when you received your EAD/AP card?  It took a really long time for our card to be processed, and we're not sure if this pushed us further down the queue.

Also, does anyone have a recommendation for an office to renew the medical exam?  There's a huge list of USCIS-approved doctors, but I've called the office closest to our house several times and they have never gotten back to me.

Ww are in the same boat.

    I am still waiting ...

Hi MN filers, just wanna update the newest processing time from our local office. Looks like they speed up a bit in December (from 08/12/2016 to 09/18/2016 in one month), kudos to staff who work hard during the holiday season

Field Office Processing Dates for Minneapolis-St. Paul MN as of: December 31, 2017
Form Form Name Processing Cases As Of Date:
I-485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status September 18, 2016
    N-400 Application for Naturalization December 10, 2016
N-600 Application for Certificate of Citizenship April 6, 2017

Thank you so much for the updates.

Any news are well received at this point.

    God bless :)

Hope everyone is doing well. USCIS just updated their processing time several days ago, and it is now saying by the end of 11/30/2017 they were processing cases from 08/12/2016. Small progress is still progress. Also, given that @sebastianshaw @USpatial @sausa have all received interview schedule or even passed the interview, I assume that they are processing cases filed in 02/2017 now. Good luck!

Thank you for this update. Small progress is indeed a progress. It gives me hope :)

Hey guys just thought I’d add my experience as I have the MN office too. I came to the U.S via K1 visa and I filed for AOS in December 2016. Received an email saying they had got my case and was processing it a few days after I sent it in. A year later I hadn’t heard anything at all so I thought I’d get in touch with USCIS through phone and they told me to fill out the “Case outside of normal processing time” form on their site. I did that a few days ago, so today I decided to check the case status on the USCIS app and it now says “Card was mailed to me”. I always thought I’d be having an interview and some communication but apparently not, I definitely don’t mind though now my green card is hopefully on its way :D  I hope everyone gets their cases processed soon! - Nicole

Thank you! I It is always good to hear good news :)
