    Proof of Custody for UK K1 Visa

    Hi All,

    Can anyone tell me if we declare my Kids on our DS-230-Pt1 - either following on or coming now do I have to show proof of custody to the UK consulate? And if anyone else has done this from the UK, where can I get such a thing?

    Yes, you do have to have proof of custody, and you can request that order from the Court where the initial order was made. When you ask for a copy of it, make sure to ask for it to be certified, because the Embassy will require it to be.

    If you need to know anything else regarding the child/children feel free to ask.

    It's been a week since I sent off our passports and i'm still waiting..Arghhhh!!!! My Royal mail tracking number has had the same message since last Tuesday! Sitting at PO Box blahblah. This wait is killing me!! :(

    Royal Mail Delivery Recommendation

    I returned packet 3 to the US Embassy in London via Royal Mail "not so" Special Delivery. The tracking says its arrived at its PO BOX and is awaiting collection/delivery. Is this normal? Its been saying that for a few days now

    I sent a package last Monday, I still see that same message on the Royal mail Website too.

    It's been such a long long wait, i'm impatient, but i've kinda taught myself not to get my hopes up. I just hope they don't ask me for anything else heh.

    Hiya,

    Little update. I received the court order I was waiting for on Saturday. Called SMS this morning and apparently they don't collect from where I live, yay!.

    I called the extortion line, and they said that for some wierd reason, because I live on The Isle Of Man, SMS will not collect from here because it's not the mainland, but will deliver. Well Boo them!

    Anyways, I just sent Mine and my daughters passports to the Embassy this morning by registered mail, as told to do by the very helpful chap on the phone.

    Now I get to wait with fingers crossed :)

    *Crosses fingers, eyes, legs and everything else crossable!*

    Hi julez!

    Next step for us is to wait for the Court order to arrive, which should be any day now. As soon as I get that, I need to contact SMS and send the court order and Passports to the Embassy. Then we get to wait again, for our Visas to be delivered, and that's it, hopefully! :)

    Will keep you posted as and when anything progresses!

    The whining about NOA2's is one of the reasons I haven't posted in a long time, frustrates the heck out of me :P

    Hi guys!

    Been quite a while since I was on VJ, so hi to anyone/everyone old and new ;)

    Well, last time I was here, i'd just had my Interview in London, and although I had consent from my daughters father, to take her to the US, he refused to get it notarised. Well, then he said he would, so I paid a Notary close to where he lived, and he still didn't go and do it. I decided to take it to Court, and the court made the decision that I was allowed to take her :). Now I just need to wait for that Court order, send it to the embassy, and hopefully that should be it! :)
