Finally after a 2 1/2 yr wait I received the hallowed "card production ordered" email I wont hold my breath until it is in my hot little hand...thanks to all for all your encouragement and hope!!!

Now finally I can get on with the rest of my life!!!!!

i got married on nov 2006 and applied for i485 jan 2007 and interviewed july 2007 and been approved but fbi name check till now still waiting:(

Finally.....yesterday I got a email saying my card production has been ordered and a "welcome to the USA" email today......not bad after 2 1/2 yr wait !!!!!!! I still will not hold my breath until the card is in my hot little hand....thanks everyone for giving me encouragement and hope when i needed it!!!!!!

Thanks AOS...I do tend to get a little tiresome with the "I have been waiting 6mths" threads..............it is comforting to know I am not the only one that there are many many others in the same situation...I am just having one of those "this is really getting ridiculous days"

I soooooo wish I was kidding!! I did get called for another set of fingerprints a month ago.....they lost my first set of fingerprints and then I have been in name check since may 06...I am hoping the new biometrics means the card is coming.....please please please let it be soon and a 10 yr one

I recently had to go get another( about the 5th set now!) set of fringerprints done ...............so I am hoping that the name check is back and they are ready to print my green card!!!! How long do u have to wait between fingerprints and green card production?

WOW! Hopefully it is the last set of fingerprints you'll have to take, and since you've been waiting for 2.5 years, looks like you might even get a 10 year green card instead of a 2 year conditional one.

She would have to, I'd assume - if she's been waiting 2.5, then she's been married at least that long. Let's hope for a 2 year anyway. Having to remove conditions when you've been waiting that long is just a slap in the face as far as I'm concerned.

No problem...if u dont have one...just leave it!!!!!!

I brought my labrador with us....she just needed a rabies shot and a 48 fit to fly check from a vet...plus the appropriate carrier...she did great, arrived in really good health and VERY happy!!!!!

This is my THIRD EAD because I am STILL waiting in FBI namecheck!!!!!! My last renewal required fingerprints even though I had had them done 5 mths previous, this is why I am concerned:)

It's always nice to read good news.

Congrats....most places are ok about the EAD thing...give them a copy of your approval/production ordered email or letter. I started out working for HUD (housing) ...hated it but then because of the local and welfare experience I got I landed my current job as a casemanager in a mental health agency..............so the rule of thumb is...take what u can get and then get some USA experience behind u, in my experience lots of places want USA experience.

My first EAD had my birth year as 2005 on it.....I sent it back in the paper holder it came in ...of course kept a photocopy and I added a letter stating what was wrong.......I got a correct card back in about 2 weeks

Wow....I am soooooooo excited I got 4 emails today telling me my EAD has been ordered Although I am a little confused, I didnt have to get a fingerprint done this time...is that right??? Or.....have I become a complete paranoid immigration nightmare.......lol

I went on my husbands health insurance( Anthem Blue Cross) the day we were married...they needed me to prove that I had been previously insured...so I spoke with someone at the NHS...they faxed a letter stating my son and I had been covered under the NHS.....no problem....thank heavens as my son needed hip surgery 6 weeks after we got here!!!!

let me know if u need the guys name who faxed the NHS reply...I will hunt it out:)

Luckily I have Taste of Britain 6 miles away, so we are always stocked with Paxo, Branston pickle, Piccalili,

and loads of Galaxy, Cadburys etc. Last time I went they had 10c bags of mini Cadburys buttons on the counter..yum

In 2 weeks my pop is visiting and Ive requested Weetabix ($5.00 for 12 in local shop!!) and I need to find out if he can bring Smoked Mackerel on the plane...

does anybody know whether that will be allowed through?

Not a Mackerel fan myself, but I do like smoked fish! You should be able to find smoked fish in Atlanta somewhere.

I really like smoked trout or smoked salmon.

But other fishes are good too. Smoked Rock fish.. yummy

They really should not have asked me what i wanted them to bring because now I cannt stop thinking of all the different things they could bring....walnut whips....paxo....proper marmalade......oh I'm drooling

I have family coming over from England in a few weeks. Of course they have asked , so what do u want us to bring u from here?

Here's what I have come up with so far....weetabix, white musk from the body shop, sarsons vinegar, a bag of fish and chips, galaxy chocolate, crunchies, some pics of the good ole english countryside and christmas crackers!! I know some of them are unrealistic for them to bring....but they asked what i wanted so.......!!

Here's a contest I really didnt want to win.....We are on our fourth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!EAD and we have done everything possible except the WOM thus far. Will have to file for the fifth if nothing received by next March.......

Poor sunny........... I too get mad over the amount of money we have spent on waiting for the FBI to just get with the programme!!!!

It seems that some of u dont understand....I have been to my congressman who has even contacted USCIS and the FBI...just to be told...u r in name check, be patient!!!! Sadly, this same helpful congressman recently passed away, seems cold to be contacting his staff so soon when I really know theres nothing anyone there can do for me!! EAD's only last 1 yr....and u have to renew 120 days before it expires...since I need to continue working (and paying taxes) I dont have much choice to get my application in (and before the fee increase).

I am a qualifies Counselor in the UK. My first job here was a counselor (though not the same as in the UK) at a Housing Association working doing HUD applications....hated it...never saw a client just did paperwork!! My second job is my current job...I am a mental health casemanager for a rural behavioral health center.......isnt quite what I want to do but I do love it...and I am using my counselling skills for sure !!!!

BTW my Counselling qualifications are not recognised here and I work with aperson who has a Batchelors in Psychology who just doesnt have a clue...but she gets paid more than me.........annoys the heck out of me but I just dont think I can start it all over again to earn a little more than I do now!!!! I am just glad of the opportunity I have in my current job!
