Another Mumbai consulate case here. CC May 28th ir5 category. When you expect an IL and interview date?

Please offer some insight guys- anxiously awaiting as so many here have been.

For those that are awaiting Mumbai interview dates I’d be happy to create a WhatsApp group for those of us waiting. Feel free to PM your details and I’d be happy to create a group.

Yes. They don’t give you any information all they say is just prepare for the interview and wait on the IL. It’s been 7 weeks since cc of cr1/ir1 category and still nothing. No one knows why there has been no movement from the Mumbai embassy several people have been waiting

This makes me so sad. It’s been almost 6 weeks for me too for ir5 for parents. No news.

@sharon1611 - My case complete dates were April 29 (for my dad) and May 6 (for my mom) respectively. And no, I haven’t received my ILs yet. If you look at the IL history, it appears they release it in batches every month. Last few months dates seem to be:

Jan 8, Feb 14, Mar 13, April 16, May 9 and June 21 (there may have been a few adhoc ones, but this seems to be the majority dates).

Based on what I have seem to be gathering, it appears a number of people (for Mumbai consulate) who were waiting in CC state from Jan 2019 through late April 2019 got their IL for July 2019 on Friday (June 21st). My cases obviously didn’t make the cut that day, so I’m hoping it will make the cut in the July date. Not sure when that would be, but my sense (or hope :) ) is that it will be anywhere from mid July through end of July.

@wisedog- thanks for the detailed explanation. Based on my case complete date of May 28th when do you think I’ll get my IL and have an actual interview. Like you I am waiting on pins and needles for this.

My mother had her interview this week in Mumbai. Interview was scheduled at 7:30am in the morning so I got her a flight for the day before and booked hotel right across from the consulate so she wouldn't have to deal with Mumbai traffic and was able to leave everything at the hotel since you can't take anything besides the documents inside the consulate.

She reached the consulate at 7am. They called first time to collect the documents and then it was about 5 hour wait to get called for the actual interview which lasted about 2 minutes. She was given the approval letter and informed to pay the fee once she gets the passport. So really smooth overall.

Which hotel did you book your mom in ? When you say- they requested documents first before the 5hr wait- which documents were they requesting ?

NSC shows that it is processing sibling petitions in 10-13 months. My parents I-130 was approved in Nebraska but I’m not sure why my brothers case went to California ??

I'm super sad as well. It's been a waiting, waiting, waiting game. I called NVC a few weeks ago; there's an expedite process but I didn't feel  i had a good enough case to make for the possible reasons to request an expedite (https://www.uscis.gov/forms/how-make-expedite-request). We started this whole process over a year ago and there's been so much waiting at each step of the process.

What have you heard about interview experiences at Mumbai particularity for parents ?

I have not read / heard anything. Would love any perspective from you or others on this forum.

It’s been 2 years for me since I stayed this process- but part of it has been due to delay on my side. I will let you know if I hear anything about interview experience at the Mumbai consulate.

When your parents go get an interview date- will you be going with them to India for their interview ?

No 😞 Waiting since April 29, 2019 & May 6, 2019 respectively when both my parents cases were marked "Documentarily Qualified" by NVC

I’m so sad to hear that- my parents case was documentarily qualified on May 28th. So looks like I’ll be waiting a lot longer than you :(

will you be going for your parents interview to Mumbai ? What have you heard about interview experiences at Mumbai particularity for parents ?
