That's amazing @anna lucia!!! Congrats and enjoy your EAD now 🎉
Nothing on my side yet, 201 days I hope it comes before Sunday and I don't have to make an inquiry... good news is that employers are moving on with me, and I might have more than one offer when I get the EAD! 🎉
You can use the link https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do and just check number by number, like 50 before yours and 50 after yours... or if you are bored you can do more than 50, hahaha
Hi! Thank you all! I was checking on the case tracker app, I could check 500 numbers close to mine. Im here searching for Jobs, and contacting job recruiters. Soon it will be your turn guys. They are finishing with their backlog, they wont move forward without giving your EADs!

I know, I gave up on calling them too... or if I call I expect the tier 1 person to give wrong or useless information, and them ask to talk to a tier 2...
I don't think I vented about my notice of receipt here, but long story short, they initially sent my notice of receipt to the wrong address, so I called to ask for them to send a copy to the right address... the tier 1 person told me they can't send copies of notices... I got mad at the person and asked to talk to a tier 2... the tier 2 just tells me I have to send an email to lockboxsupport@dhs.gov asking for it, and a couple of week after I received it 😂😂😂
Fingers crossed! I have a feeling that it is not gonna go past next week 😁
I remember about something like that you said. This is very bad. Good that now everything is organized for you. I think now we already had plenty of time to get used to the culture and stuff, we just need to start working. In Brazil I wasnt able to stay home for a weekend, look at me now, almost seven months at home haha Im actually proud of my efforts.

I dont know why I call USCIS, I Always regret after 😅. I wanted to check on the expedited, if it was really expedited or not. She said it was and it depends on the officer to give the decision on the case @BrazilianInTexas At some point it will come, hopefuly no longer than next week. Im so anxious.

It's very likely that email and/or SMS notifications are sent out by an automated system of some sort.
Yes I think so too, its just weird that they dont do that on the day that they approve the case. Sometimes its a day after... maybe it takes some time to run.

Im just confused about their working hours... Have they been working like 24/7 now? Some people receive notifications very early and some very late.

EAD card in production this morning-- woke my husband up at 5 to tell him (and then I had to tell him again at 7 because I don't think it registered)! Not sure if it was the inquiry, the congressman's office or our time just finally came, but hang in there, everyone! Yours will come soon, too!
hahaha I guess I was right!! Yayy congratulations everybody!! Its our turn now. Im so happy!

When did you request to expedite? I am trying to be positive and think that an office really has it on his desk and is going to approve it soon, haha
I asked on tuesday last week. Received na e-mail monday this week saying your case is under review you will receive a decision or notice of further action shortly. When I login to uscis online it says that my expedite request was complete, that they sent me a response and that they sent my case to ann agent for adjudication. Everything on april 29th

I don't, I think it's just a very complex subject that I'd rather explain over a conversation... usually when the recruiters hear about immigration they think you're trying to get a sponsorship or something like that, and then you have to explain all the details
Yes I was including it in my resume I only got some companies that didnt see that contacting me. I will look at it again.

At first I was also afraid of answering "Yes" to the question "Are you allowed to work in USA?" in the applications. But then when the recruiters call me I always tell them the situation and offer to send all the information about the process, and usually they are fine with it, or they just tell me to contact them when I get the EAD.
That is a personal decision for you, but if I could offer any advice, I'd tell you to search a little bit more and find a job that looks like you're gonna like better than your last one. Or at least explore your options a little bit, and then make the decision to go back to that company or not. I understand the desperation, I talk to my wife about that and she always supports me on waiting for the right job instead of just accepting any offer, but at the same time I feel like I can't choose too much, it's hard to work on that emotional intelligence! hahaha
Updating on my case, last week I asked them to expedite my EAD because of the problems I had with them sending my biometrics appointment to wrong address (my PD is October 19th, and I only did biometrics on March 6th). Today they sent me an answer to the request for expediting saying " We received your request to expedite the decision on your application. Your case is currently under review. You will receive a decision or notice of further action shortly." From my research on VJ it seems like that means that my case is being reviewed by an officer at this moment, and because of that it can't be expedited. So I guess it should also be close to be approved.
And about your expedite I tried as well and I got the same information. But I tried for medical reasons. At least someone has it already right!? You know it better than me.

Yes I totally understand your point. But do you include in your resume anything about your EAD status?

My timeline:
Filed AOS package: Oct 12, 2018
Received: Oct 15, 2018
NOA: Oct 18, 2018
Fingerprint: Nov 7th, 2018
(I-485) Case is ready to schedule: Feb 21, 2019
I-765/131: Case is approved: May 1, 2019
My tip is to constantly interviewing and looking for jobs, if there’s a interview, great, go ahead and practice, practice and practice. I gave up looking for job from this Feb to March because it’s taking forever for the EAD and got super anxious and annoyed.
But then I picked myself up again and there’re some headhunters approached me and I started to looking for jobs and interviewing again. Good luck everyone and I see that they are moving faster than the previous months! We will get there!
Thats good!!! Congratulations!

Same here, submitted my request. Expect reply by May 23, 2019-- I hope it comes sooner!
I think yours might be coming soon, they might hve passed the date because there are just small amount of people waiting on the previous dates, since they approved a lot already from october.

Don't give up on applying and doing job interviews! Tell them that the documents are supposed to come soon, with a small risk of taking a little longer... I understand that it is frustrating knowing that someone wants to hire you, but they won't give you a job offer because they don't understand the process... but you will get better on the job interviews, will probably filter down the best jobs for you, and when you get the EAD or GC you'll probably have a job waiting for you...
It just takes a lot of patience! I have probably applied for more than 100 jobs, and done some 30 interviews on the phone or in person... There is a company that calls me every month and asks me if I have received the EAD already, there's another recruiter that at first told me to wait for the EAD and contact him, but a month later he calls me and tells me that I will do the interview with the hiring manager anyways... all this work (applying and interviewing) and frustration will probably pay off with a better job at the end
Yes I know, my husband knows a job recruiter, he said we should wait. So I stopped for a while. Even at the ziprecruiter app i found a very good job opportunity and I applied, then when I sent my resume came a questionnaire "Are you allowed to work in USA? Yes and no haha. So I pretended I was dead and didnt answer haha I will restart next week. I used to work for the same company as my husband, they wanted to hire me but only with documents. I dont know if I want to go back there, but since Im desperate I will never know. I saw I guess on november thread uscis' response to congress inquiry about their backlog. IT seems they are really working on it.

I think this is just a general indication that they are slowly catching up, and makes it possible for more people to make inquiries for case outside of normal processing time... I don't think it changes a whole lot when we'll get our approvals, but it's better news than when they pushed the dates forward twice on March 😁
I'm on day 194 here, and job interviews really picking up now (doing almost one a day), I really need the EAD/AP!!!
I gave up on interviews because they wanted to hire me but since i didnt have the documents they didnt want to continue. I just received ombudsman and congresswomans response that Im under normal processing times and theres nothing they can do. I hope I can see more approvals when i scan in the app at least.

Am I reading this right, they're on October 7th??
When I checked they were at october 8th already. But they left people behind... At least I didnt see people from previous dates to celebrate. This is unfair, I hope everybody get their answers soon!

Well fellow Octo'ers - The day is finally here it is now showing 2nd October to be outside of processing dates for EAD/AP So we're finally moving into a place where we can maybe get some answers!!! Hopefully this week is full of approvals for all that are still waiting! ALSO! Hoping this week is my week and that they're going to play a joke on me and approve me on the same day I got my K1 approved... May the 4th be with you 😂
I can't believe they got in october in their processing times... Now we are close!!!!

Hey Octobears,
I couldn't bear another day (Day 202) of not knowing where I stand with the EAD/AP situation - so I gave a call to USCIS today to speak to a Tier 2 agent. Spoke with someone today and was told that nothing had been touched on my case since Nov last year! He said that there was a huge backlog at NBC for EAD and AP's and that the last time someone called in he was advised to give the Ombudsman number, especially as I'm still within 'Normal Processing Times', even though I'm about a week away from being outside Normal Processing Times now. He understood my frustration and gave me the Ombudsman number. I proceeded to call the Ombudsman [(202) 357-8100] and they told me just to fill out a form online ( https://cisomb.dhs.gov/oca/form7001.aspx ) - which I have done but don't know if it's gone through as I've yet to receive a confirmation email. [It apparently doesn't work on Chrome or Firefox and you have to use Internet Explorer? - But I managed to work it on Chrome, if I don't receive any confirmation by tomorrow, will re-submit after re-downloading Internet Explorer...]
I am not sure if this will help anyone else, but if it does, glad to pass on the information - I know we are all going stir crazy in waiting. Here's to more approvals this week and some solid responses to everyone whose sent in a case inquiry or RFE/RFIE!Hi! Thank you for sharing this. My congresswoman sent the inquiry to them on april 10th, I didnt receive a response from them yet. I think I will have to wait one more week to see if they answer something and then Ill contact the Ombudsman. Im really tired of all of this. The only good part I keep thinking is: since Oakland park is taking 19-25 months to schedule interview, i might not have to revalidate my work permit during this period.
