Thanks for the response and Congratulations!! I'm truly happy for you!  Keep us updated when you receive your appt!  We just on the starting point. I just received my notification email yesterday that my I601a was received and transferred to Nebraska Center for processing. Did you hire a lawyer?

Thank you soooo much 😌 I appreciate it. And that’s awesome! Hopefully you get your fingerprints appt soon. When my case was received on February they gave me my fingerprints appt in March. Then after that I wanted and o got approved in May. And mine is in Nebraska too. I did hire a lawyer Hope this helps.

Congrats on your I-601a approval!  So, what's next is the NVC to review all your submitted paperwork: your IV application and Aff of Support.  Once the NVC has completed their review of your case, they will email you they will schedule your consulate interview in Juarez.  You'll probably wait a month or so until the NVC has scheduled your interview.  Once they have, they will email you again with time and date of the interview.  Once you have the interview date, begin to schedule your ASC and Medical appointments a day or two prior of the interview date.

You have some time, so use it to your advantage by getting all your paperwork ready.  The more prepared, the more confidence you/your spouse will have during the interview.  If all goes well, expect to spend 7-10 days in Juarez before you receive your passport with the USA visa stamp at the ASC.

Don't stress out, you and your spouse have overcome the toughest hurdle of the entire visa process with the I601a.  With some mindful preparation, you'll do just fine in Juarez.

    Good luck!

Thank you for all the information 😌 I got CC May 9th and I called NVC and they just told me I am in line waiting to get an appointment in Juarez. So I’m crossing my fingers I get that email soon. I have a lot of faith and I’m waiting patiently. 🙏🏻🙏🏻

So, I guess there has been no approvals lately? I feel like they have been super slow these last few weeks. Ugh 😑 Hopefully they pick up the pace and move us along. We’ve only been waiting about 2 months but I can’t imagine the stress for those of you that have been waiting over 10 months! I pray that this all over soon for everyone. This  whole process has been on going for us since 2016 and I just want to be done with it already. Good luck to all of you. I am sending positive vibes your way❤️🙏

No no news yet for me either. It feels like eternity! But it’s only been 2 months for me as well and I started my process in 2016 too. I hope everyone who had been waiting gets some type of news soon. Let’s have a lot of faith and thank you for sending your positive and good wishes 🙏🏻💗✨

    Hello all,

Did anyone mark yes when the ds260 ask to apply for the social security number for you? What was your experience with this? Is it better just to go to the S.S office ourselves?

I put yes to this. But I couldn’t tell you my experience yet since our process is almost around the same time 😬

Has your husband gone to his biometrics appt? 🙏🏻

That’s what I’m afraid of! I’m trying to get all our paperwork done quickly so I can have the lawyer submit everything ASAP. He said the Wavier takes about 8 months and that at about 4 months in he would send everything. I’ve been seeing approvals at around 3 months. I’m definitely going to give everything and ask to have it send right away. The sooner the better right? Or is there some kind of expiration dates on the paperwork the NVC requires?

It’s better to send in all the paper work now especially the DS260 because on my paper it said that if I didn’t send that or the civil documnets and others they wouldn’t send Over to the embassy to schedule my appt. Good thing my lawyer sent it in then 2 months after I got my appt for my fingerprints. Hopefully your lawyer sends everything in ASAP.

    good luck :)
