My husband came on a K-1 sponsorship we got married, he got his green card. Can he apply for citizenship naturalization after the 3 years of our anniversary? I am a US citizen.

Lee Summit Missouri is the National Benefit Center. All I-485/I-765/I-131 go there.
The I-765 and I-131 will be processed there, the I-485 will, after they made sure the file is complete, be put in the queue to get an interview at your local office
Thank you so much, I was very confused on what was happening.

HI, I have applied for my husband's green card-adjustment of status form I-485 and he did the fingerprints on December 14, 2018. On the phone when I call they are saying that processing is happening in Lee Summit Missouri. I am super confused because I never got a notice in mail about the case being transferred. Did this happen with anyone else? Thank you in advance.

I was wondering about something: I am finding out for a relative. If someone who got lifetime bann from USA and went back to canada. Now became a citizen of canada will that person be allowed to visit usa with canadian passport? to drive over and visit family? Also, the person would have lots of paper to support going back to canada, owning a house, job, and car and all of that... I am just trying to find out how the lifetime ban works. Also, this person dont have any paper to say lifetime bann they just know from when they tried to apply for visitor visa four years ago.

Good evening<
I got married already to my husband, who came on a Fiance visa, we have applied already for adjustment of status.
I was wondering if anyone knows how soon he can register his car that he came over with from Canada, and how soon can be transfer his drivers license? Like do we have to wait until he has his green card before he can have his driver license transfered?
Thank you so much, sarah

He cannot import a car he doesnt own. When you have a loan you dont own the vehicle. Some people have had success getting a loan in the USA and paying off the Canadian loan. But that was an IR1/CR1 who can travel easier and work immediately compared to a K1. Your fiance needs to check with the company he owes the loan to. They will let him know if he's even allowed to move outside of Canada with the car even if he doesnt import it within the first year.
Thank you for letting me know. He paid off the car and will be driving it over. And then paying back that money with a loan. Thank you all so much for helping me figure this out.

Hi all,
I’m wondering on the process of having my fiancé drive over on his K1 Visa to America. He has a car which he is currently paying for at the moment and his bank account with money inside so he can continue to pay for the car.
My question is what papers would be need to drive over the car... for his one time entry into the USA on the K1 Visa?
He has driven over many times on his visitor visa but I know the one time entry will be different. Any help is appreciated.
Thank you,
sarah

Hey hey... thanks for the reply.
We just crossed a few hours ago with no issues. The CBP officers were super friendly and the process was quick and easy.
I'm going to write a review of our experience. Also, thank you again for all your advice in this and many other VJ posts related to Canada immigration. You are an asset to this community.
Can you let me know if your Fiancé the one with the visa was the one with the vehicle?
Mu fiance has a car which he is currently still paying for?
please let me know. Thank you

Okay. Thank you so much. I’m going to try to find what is needed.

What do you need to do if you’re driving over a vehicle? Do you need any specific paperwork.
My fiancé will be driving over in two weeks with his car from Canada.
Any help on what paperwork he will need?
Thank you in advance

Hello Sarah 😃
first of all i will tell you what they have requested us to submit.
1-passport style photographs of petitioner.
2-beneficiary’s intent to marry you in the united states.
3-Requirement that petioner and beneficiary have met in person (during the two years immediately preceding the filing of this petition).
4- circumstances of meeting.
5- personal meeting(dated photographs of you and benificiary together).
yes,we have already prepared our file and it has been sent through usps on monday 11 February 2018, according to the usps tracking number it will arrive on Wednesday 14 February at 8:00pm.
so we have attached everything :
a full story how we met.
Like pictures dated ,locationed.
Letter written and signed by me
pictures of us together in backhome doing wedding shopping, jewelry, visiting historical places.
we had described every picture attached in-the file, his tickets , boarding passes visting to canada 🇨🇦 from USA 🇺🇸.
We have printed all pictures separately like mentioning dates and locations clicked by my i-phone 7 plus, and we have attached, uploaded pictures in the file too describing what we are doing and where we met😂😂😂😂😂😜😂😂😂😂
i dn wana get rfe 2 lol or either denial😪
so I mentioned ,stated everything very carefully what they have asked for us to submit.
Thank you so much. My RFE was circumstances that we met physically in the last two years. I’ve made a file with a statement and attached some pictures in the document about us meeting in USA and Canada and also with family and friends.
I sent mine out only today, so hoping they get it soon and then for a reply. Hope we get it soon. Did you get your RFE answer back already?

WAITING FOR RFE REPLY , NOA2 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
I have an RFE dated January 31, 2018. I have to post my reply Wednesday or Thursday. I had to write statement of circumstance how we met in the last two years. I’m still not done with typing it up. I feel nervous about it. But I want to send it back out ASAP. Should I add pictures with the statement. Because we have met like 6 different occasions. Or should I just put dates and why we met?
Thank you so much,
Sarah.

And I call uscis and they told me they working on cases 46 days before me.. so around June 1 of 2017. So I’m little confused on how this works.

Dont fret - they have touched the 14th so you will be in the next few days!!!!!
I’m really hoping so, I’ve been checking the websites everyday and reading all my emails I can’t do much on the visa journey website because I keep getting weird ads of winning iPhones and amazon cards. So I have my notifications set and I get all to my emails. So I read them everyday constantly.
But the patience is running out.. I’m also so excited but nervous. When I submitted my petition. I didn’t put no pictures or call or chat logs. I just did some itineraries for hotel when my fiancé came to visit. And our marriage of intent. So I’m a bit nervous but praying every night and morning for an approval to come soon in the mail.

I don't know if it will effect the k1 but I think as long as his perminent resident status doesn't expire his application for citizenship should be fine. The problem would be he won't be able to leave the United States if he's already entered by then, so he won't be able to return to Canada for his appointments.
Do you know if he will have to give up his permanent residence card before entering the US? I tried looking it up but couldn’t find anything. Or do you know if being from another country that’s what they usually do?

39 minutes ago, Justmel said:Why is he trying to get citizenship in Canada if he's planning on moving to the USA?
My parents thinks that’ it’s best if he does it because if we ever plan on moving to Canada in the future. So he did the paperwork and sent it in. But that’s about an average of 5-6 months to get it from what’s I’ve read online. I just don’t know if while coming over on the Fiancé Visa if he will have to give up his permanent resident card before entering the USA.. I don’t know if anyone else did that before?
-
I’ve a question, please feel free to share your opinions.. I did a Fiancé sponsorship for my fiancé that is a permanent resident living in Canada, he has just applied for his Citizenship while the fiancé sponsorship is in process.. does anyone know if that’s going to be a problem.. he has citizenship in Guyana by birth and has been living in Canada since 2014... thank you all, I know that time is getting close and I would not want anything to get into the way of him being able to come over here to the USA after being approved.
Thank you all,
Sarah -
So I am a bit confused over this process... I’m awaiting the NOA2. Does that mean I’ve to wait for my fiancé to get the NOA2 and then he applies for the K1 Visa in Canada? I got my receipt of NOA1 on July 17 of 2016. And I’m super excited and can’t wait for this to happen for us.
Also, he came to visit for the New Years and got a new paper attached to his passport giving him stay until March of this year... but we both have work so he’s going back early.
Thank you,
Sarah

They are working on May and June up to June 20th as of today
good luck!
create a timeline (you can find it in your profile) and it will show you an estimate.. we are mostly expecting plus minus a week right now.
The thing is I created the timeline and it’s saying probably in January I’ll get the second NOA 2 But when I check the USCIS website the processing time is saying that they are working on May 1, 2017.
Are you all looking on ghe same website, or using a different website because I don’t see anything where they are working on June.
So I’ve been patient in waiting but getting nervous too.. and very anxious. I’m super excited and don’t know how long this process will take but the time apart is driving me crazy.

Hi guys,
I just joined this website today and I would like to say that I’ve filed the I-129F for my fiancé who lives in Canada on July 17 of 2017. How do I know what month they are working on? And how soon can I expect to know when he can come over?
Thank you,
Sarah.

Thank you, he became permanent residence on June of 2019, so its valid until June of 2021. Do I file to file for removal of conditions first then afterwards file for naturalization? Thank you for your reply.
