I filed my documents on October 9 and then yesterday morning on October 12 received an invitation to surrender my biometric data))) I think to go on Monday and take fingerprints before ))) now the approximate time of my case was 9 months . I hope that after trips to the immigration it's time to decrease)) who else received an invitation?

Can I ask what was included in those documents? We have a lot of evidence of our marriage (rent history, mutual bills, mutual bank accounts & cc-s, pictures, few examples of travel/tickets, I am debating on sending letters written by friends as I did for the GC and ROC, and of course our marriage certificate), but it is nowhere near 55, we literally sent in everything we had for the previous (GC and ROC) applications too...but 55 sounds crazy
I collect every piece of paper . I filed 751 forms that year and sent them 300 documents with our two names. this year it was also a lot . 7 machines on two behalf of this 7 titles and 7 registrations . 12 car insurance for two names for each month from the beginning of last year. home insurance 12 receipts for 12 months, membership in costco for two, membership in a Cycling club, medical insurance for two, Bank accounts for two, then also gave taxes for three years of transcription, 10 joint photos, marriage certificate, and many different joint documents came out more than 100 files together . and a certificate of his wife's previous marriage . a police report that no one is looking for me in my country . I think if in three months I find another documents then add them to my case

Hello everyone,
I was wondering when I should make an appointment to extend green card? Currently - extension letter expires at the end of October (3 years) . I checked available appointments at the local office and there is nothing for the next 2 weeks. Should I schedule one once I see availability? What is the time window I should make an appointment to extend before GC expires ?
I mailed N-400 to Chicago office. They received it on 8/8/18. Didnt hear anything back from them Hopefully this week I get 797 or see personal check cashed.
Thank you.
hi russian brothet . text me maybe i can help you

Nothing complicated? Seriously? Well, good for you... For me it turned to be a sickening experience - "this file is too big,,, that file is in the wrong format"... After struggling for 3-4 hours, I gave up in disgust. I am filing in paper.
I am still thinking, I can follow the instruction and only mail my husband's Green card copy and our marriage certificate. Anyone up for it?
there is a very simple . to which only you know the answers . I served everything myself and see no problem. if you are in doubt, it is better to submit in writing. and people who filed in the paper version usually wait for citizenship twice as long . Good luck

Hello, October filers!
We are about to mail my husband's N-400. The instructions, that I look through, say, that the only evidence, that has to be enclosed with the form, should be our marriage certificate and his green card copy. The rest of the evidence - proofs of bona fide marriage and all - are out under the section "bring for the citizenship interview." But when I filed my own citizenship in 2013, I remember sending the whole package of evidence, including financial and all.
Can anyone tell me, what to do better - to follow the instruction or to provide all the evidence before the interview?
Hey. nothing complicated just to quickly going through your feed it is better to upload documents online. this will help the officer to make a decision faster . I just filed today and uploaded over 55 documents and then I'll take them with me for an interview . as well as new evidence of living together . Everything's going to be OK. familiar filed online and received citizenship 92 days after filing

2018 i will have 238 days

So no one can answer your question.
This is because we do not know how many days you were out of the country. You did not provide any dates. You can provide the dates and MAYBE someone will be nice enough to calculate it and post the accurate numbers as well as let you know if you can apply for N400.
Read Susies explanation again. They dont look at calendar year. You are using calendar year to calculate the numbers above. They look at a rolling cycle starting immediately preceding the date you applied. So if you left Sept first 2016 and came back May 31st 2017 you dont count some days of the trip as part of 2016 and some as 2017. The trip in its entirety is 9 months absence all counted against you since its in the past 365 days.
Do you understand? If not theres a calculator you can try. I never used it so I dont know if it works. https://andreiromanenko.com/days-outside-the-united-states-n-400-calculator/

This is a very clear explanation.
Nikolas if you dont understand or have questions still consult with an attorney.
I had the exact question. I asked if I could apply for citizenship if in the first year I was in the us 180 days , the second year 190 days and the third 240 days. I went every three months to my home country and was there for only two months. I did not have one long journey. and I repeat the question does that give me the right to file a form 400 for citizenship

Hmmm...if you were gettIng medical treatment as a resident of your home country that could count against you, it could be seen as you being resident outside the US.
I seem to recall the form is clear that days of departure and arrival count as days in the US? But again you are looking at “in 365 days”, that is not how it’s calculated. (Example if you are in US January to 1 September 2016 and then leave till 31 May 2017 you can’t say you were in the US 8 months in 2016 and 7 months in 2017 so you are ok, uscis will look at it as you have a 9-month absence so you have broken continuous residence)
again I suggest you stop reading “a lot of things” and just read the official uscis information, on form n400 itself and the link I gave you earlier (as well as the links in that).
the fact that I was treated by a doctor 5 years before moving to the United States . and he knows everything about me. I didn't specify it anywhere and only I know about it . I read your link to the site of immigration but I do not understand where I wrote if I leave the United States in a year for more than 6 months . and I leave the United States small travel for 2 months . and as I did not understand to count the number of days per year that I was in the United States. I'm just counting the days since I got the green card . I got it January 7, so consider 365 day until the next 7 January. one of these days, I was in the us in the first year of 180 days , the second year of 190 days and in the third year I will be 220 days .and it is important that at the time of applying for citizenship in the third year, I will also have 190 days . since the file for 90 days from the estimated date of receipt of the green card . but only in the third year when it will end 220 days. I just worry about the first year when I had 180 days and it is important for me to know the opinion of a smart person . Thanks

Why do people listen to what “people say” when there is alway offical information?
Officially if you are out of the US for 181 days or more you have broken continuous residence. But it’s not “in a year”, it’s counted continuously. Was your 179 day presence (=186 day absence) broken up into smaller segments or was it all in one absence? If it was one long absence then yes you’ve broken continuous residence. If it was 2 or more shorter trips then (assuming all other requirements met) you should be fine.
https://www.uscis.gov/policymanual/HTML/PolicyManual-Volume12-PartD-Chapter3.html#S-C
Yes. I went to my country every 2-3 months . as you say 179 days out of 365 I was only in the USA . and the other 186 I went to my country, and it wasn't one big journey . for example, I fly from the United States for 2 months then return to work pay taxes and again after 3 months I fly from the United States. I just read a lot of things and started to worry when I counted the days. and I don't know if I can count the days when I flew back to the us. that is, the day of arrival . and the second year I have 190 days in the us presence. the second half I also flew to my country . the thing is, I'm sick and I've been getting treatment for my neck . and the doctor said I can't fly a plane after my treatment. and I had to wait a month there and then just fly to the United States . documents I have about this
-
I'm worried. people say if you've been in a year for less than 183 days, your presence is interrupted . the first year I was 179 days in the us and the other years over 183 . and so I began to worry
-
I received my green card on January 7, 2016 . and I can apply for 90 days before January 7, 2019 for citizenship . in October 7 this year . but I worry about the number of days I was in the United States. 2016 179 (180) days . 2017 I was in the us 190 days this year too 190 day to 7 October 2018 . a total of 563 days ( 18.5 months) . can I apply for citizenship ? I paid taxes every year . family in the United States . car and house. tell me who has had the same

Wow! Congratulations.
Give us the details if you can!
I came home as usual . I thought I'd check my mail . opened the mailbox and there's a green card for 10 years . and strange as it is online there are no records and updates . and the green card approved came back with the date February. I was delighted. I also applied to California and my case was transferred to a local office in Tampa . and after that, there were no updates . I'm waiting for October and will apply for citizenship)))) good luck!!!!!

Thank you for your inquiry regarding an appointment to have your biometric images processed at an Application Support Center (ASC). We are unfortunately experiencing a longer processing period than what is reflected on your Form I-751 Receipt Notice. Be advised that USCIS may be able to reuse the previously captured fingerprints and other biometrics for some applicants and have their biometrics copied into our systems. In addition, USCIS can run the same security checks and use the same biometric data as in the past and may not need to schedule an additional biometrics appointment. However, if a biometric appointment is necessary, USCIS will schedule your appointment electronically and mail the appointment notice to your current mailing address. The biometrics fee will not be refunded.

Just sharing this in case it helps anyone out there. I've been pouncing on our mailbox every day to check for my biometrics appointment. When I'm at home, my day revolves around the mailman coming! Anyway, I've now discovered the USPS Informed Delivery service. It's free to use, and you can see a dashboard online of all your incoming mail (and parcels) for the day - and you can track what's been delivered.
If you sign up for the 'daily digest' you'll get an email which shows a photo of the front of any letters you're getting that day. So now I can relax a bit on my mailbox stalking, and just check my dashboard in the morning. I am hoping to see a letter from USICS very soon.
Wishful thinking...
thank you . every day i am checking my mail box . like idiot . ))) this app safe my time)))

I sent my i751 in beginning of oct as well to csc. Didnt hear anything so i called uscis to ask about biometrics. They sent me a letter saying that they have manual added me to the list to schedule for one. Then i received the notice about week later from uscis saying that they will be able to reuse my previous scanning and tests, so i no longer need to do biometrics. Not sure if my call helped push things along, but it is worth a try.
maybe same with me . ussually month everybody wait fingir prints . bu not 3 month like me . i think i need just wait . but how can i make tracking for my case? because receipt number doest work ...........................
