  1. I’m in similar situation, have a trip planned for early September. She told me I could travel but I will hang tight.

i signed a form at the end of the interview, she signed it too but my spouse didn’t. We made couple of changes on my I-485 and I thought the signature was to acknowledge the changes. She listed the number of changes we made and we signed the paper.

The Uscis case status webpage has Jan 18th as last updated for all my cases and this message says 1st Feb..

This is not going to be a straight forward process.. Keep getting contradicting updates.

When did you do your biometrics?

I received the same email couple of days ago and it cited the date that I did my biometrics as the last time they took action.

I honestly think that those update are just a bunch of BS. I have seen people get approved in 1 month and some in 1 year. It seems to be a hit or miss.

I am just wondering if I should apply for I-131 or not. I should have done it with EAD. I want to travel in October and looking at current processing times reported by VJ users I think it is unlikely that I will have my GC by then...

If I were you I'd apply for AP ASAP, its free and can't hurt to have it. You never know when you may need it.

Hello everyone. Sorry for jumping in. SWe haven't filed for aos yet but are curently filling out the forms. COuld I ask you guys if you sent any proof of relationship with it like we did for the petition itself? If yes, what was it besides wedding pictures. Thank you lots!

    Hi,

I didn't include photos with my application, however, I included a lot of things with it ie Leases (older ones as well), joint accounts statements (Checking and savings), marriage certificate, car registrations, insurance policies, Roth IRA beneficiary form, notarized letter from friends, bills with both our names, couple of email correspondence and invitation cards. I was going to make a collage of our photos together but I was running out of time.

    Yes, I'm adjusting from F1.

Just got the mail, it is a yellow paper letter dated February 10th, saying my "Form I-693(Report of Medical Examination and Vaccination Record) submitted is no longer in use". However "I don't need to mail any document at this time, I will have to bring an updated Form I-693 to the interview appointment if I receive an interview notice in the mail. If my case does not require an interview, I will receive a Request for Evidence for Form I-693."

And it says at the end "DO NOT MAIL DOCUMENTS AT THIS TIME. Mailing documents before receiving one of the notices referenced above may result in a delay to your case."

Hopefully, this means at least they are working on my case and besides this out-dated Form I-693, everything else is good.

    Good luck everyone!

I need to go check my form, I did my medical a week before I mailed the form and the doc filled everything for me I just signed it and they sealed it.

Yes, I already have my NOAs and I’ve been tracking them through case tracker app. And tomorrow is my biometrics appointment.😊 I am just asking that question coz I thought it would be fast processing when your case will be transferring to NBC.

How long has it been since you submitted your application? I think you are still within the normal time frame.

How will you know if your application is being forwarded to Seattle?. coz mine says accepted and routed to NBC for processing.

So based on your post looks like you've already received NOAs for your applications, my question is have you already created an account on USCIS website to track your case status? If not and you want to, go ahead and create one. It's pretty easy and straight forward.

I mean this states on my email after sending my application and receiving my case number. Did you received already your interview schedule?

After NBC is done sorting through your application and once you've done your biometrics they will send your application to your local office and your local office will set an interview date, on your case tracker it will show "ready to be scheduled for an interview".

If we're not careful this whole process will drive us all nuts lol! I do believe they make things more complicated than it need to be to get us and with that comes frustrations but we just gotta relax and provide all they require of us! The goal is to try exercise patience.

    Ditto.

I had to stay away from here and other forums for a few weeks lol, every time I came on here and read people's posts I just went bonkers thinking I didn't do enough and whatnot. Looking back, I think I put more than enough.

Ours is half and half, the top part says marriage license and the bottom says marriage certificate.

    Hello

I didnt have that experience but since you already included a copy, Im thinking that maybe they need a certified/notarized copy of the marriage certificate...

So finally I received the RFE letter today, the USCIS requested as following which made me confused because did make a copy of it (even I made a copy in color). My US husband said so just redo it and resend it again. Anyone had the same situation like this before ? Please share your experience. Thank you

"Submit a copy of marriage certificate; issued by the appropriate civil authority, between K1 applicant and I-129F petitioner".

I hope I don't get an RFE since I submitted regular copies of everything, I indicated in my cover letter that they were true and unaltered true copies of original documents.

I followed the instructions from USCIS website.

Did biometrics drop-in in Seattle on Monday morning. My appointment was scheduled for Feb 13, so I got in more than a week ahead of time. They were really nice, and I didn't have to wait at all. I just went in with all the people who had appointments.

Quite a few people from Seattle area, I went last Wednesday and it went pretty fast took less than 15 minutes.

    All the best.

    Hey everyone!

This is a great thread.  I filed our AOS application on the 26th of January and it was received at the Chicago lockbox on the 28th.  We just received the texts and e-mails (all of them) last night around 11:30pm EST.  I was wondering if others hear could chime in with about how long it took for your checks to be cashed.  I'm a little worried about our check being cashed.  It's a cashier's check and I accidentally endorsed it.  My bank told me it would be alright but I've read on other VJ forums that the check probably won't be cashed and I'll need to send a new one.  Luckily I already asked my bank about it and they said that all I'd have to do is come get another one so I wouldn't have to wait at all (which does make me feel a bit better).

    Thanks!

Does the cashier's check have your name on it? I forgot to sign one of my cashier's check and they never returned it. It had my name and account number
