  1. Hi TBoneTX, Just found out my application I129f application expired which I understand the rules but even when I sent a request to extend the period to complete this application but It looks like they let it expire anyway

The pandemic situation is a huge factor for us which affects the our process to get this done, documents that we need from the Mexican government and unfortunately everything is on hold a the moment the office are closed

worst case scenario will be to re apply for the same Visa, but my question what are the chances for me to recover that application that just expired? (see attachment)

  2. TBoneTX thank you for taking the time to answer my question, I've submitted a request to the NVC for an extension, I will be keeping an eye on my email for any reply from them

    I will keep you posted

    Thank you

Consulates can extend validity in 4-month periods for up to a year.

E-mail CDJ, perhaps with "Extension Request for ____" [petition or A#] in the Subject line.

Ask the status, briefly explain your situation, and request extension.

    Let us know their response.

  3. I would like to share my recent updates with a brief recap hoping to get an advise on what to do

On September 9th 2019 my K1 application was approved by the USCIS and sent to the NVC

On October 1st 2019 the NVC notified that my Application received in Ciudad Juarez Mex.

On October 9th 2019 I received instructions from American consulate in Juarez Mex to complete the DS-160 form online and also to make an appointment for the interview for the Visa

We haven't been able to create and appointment  because a mexican passport for my fiancee's son hasn't been granted for him from the biological father but he he does not grant permission to him

At this point with this pandemic situation and the time that is taking to get his mexican passport, im afraid the NVC in juarez is going to discard my application

Is there something I need to do to put a hold to my I-129f application

Do you think my application already expired and dropped the case?

  4. Good day friends,

I'm excited to say that the process for a K1/K2 visa for my fiance it's been going so fast and smooth at the same time I'm a little confused, on the last letter I received from the NVC in Juarez there are some instructions to fill out the Form DS 160 online but since we don't her passport yet i can't continue with the process because the passport number is one of the thing the DS160 form is asking for

The passports will be delivered on November 25th 2019, my concern is that the time goes by and we haven't completed the form yet and/or created an account to get an appointment day for the interview

  5. Ok after reading all the instructions from the letter that I received in the mail and the one you provided in one of the links which is very similar where it says

"First Step" to fill out the for DS160 online and then create an account to see instructions and schedule the appointment

    My question is the following

can we complete the form DS160 after making the appointment for the interview? my fiance is will be receiving her passport on the 25 of this month (November) in the mail, we know the passport is required to complete the form DS160

  6. I'm so excited to announce that the USCIS has approved my i129f application and sent to the NVC according to the letter I received in the mail so I wanted thank you guys for all your help when it comes to receive all your answers to my questions in this forum, so as far I understand my fiance will be receiving a letter from the NVC to let us know about the the date of the appointment to go to the American consulate in her country

Is there anything I need to do while waiting to hear from the NVC, I know there is a medical exam that my fiance needs get done, is this something we do before the appointment to the American consulate or is this something we do the same day of the appointment?

  7. Now that i know the importance of proof of conversation or chats I don’t think i will be including them in my aplicacion, i have other type of proof or evidences of meeting in person like pictures for every time i’ve gone to see my fiancée

I will be sending my application tomorrow

thanks for the time that you guys take to answer my question

  8. Wow really really appreciate your time to answer my questions, based on what you guys say, i am ready to send my application to the USCIS, sorry id didn’t say it right in the beginning, but other that that i think i meet all requirements to get approved with enough evidences, hopefully this process won’t take long to get it resolved as expected

thank you again for your quick response

  9. Hello,

I know I haven’t been too active in this forum but i’ve been working on my application i129f to bring my fiancée, before sending the application to home land security i want to ask you guys about “proof of conversation” since is part of the requirements, i have them already in my binder, my conversations with my lady are in spanish, i heard that they need to be translated to english and certefied by a notary, otherwise my application will be denied. What would be the right thing to do

    thank you

  10. Hello,

Not sure if this topic goes here, but my question is:

we are in the process of filling for k-1 visa, she is currently in mexico, before doing that she has a court case to get full custody of her son k-2 as well for him,we need to finish that process first before we continue with k-1 application. Here's the situation, we're going to have a baby together, she is due in may, two months from now, if i'm not mistaken the baby is going to acquire the citizenship automatically, that's what i heard, if that's correct, what would be the procedure in order for the baby to get the american passport

I wasn't but that's also something to consider. If you speak Spanish, then you are ok. I was just saying that if there was a barrier, be prepared to discuss it later on. At the interview, feel free to have a translator if she's nervous.

We had our interview and my SO has amazing English - still had a minor error that got us into the secondary interview. My stress level went through the roof BUT it wasn't hard or bad at all. (The interviewer asked if we had a romantic relationship - My SO thought the interviewer was asking a personal question about our sex life and was caught off guard and nervous that he answered 'yeah....we go out sometimes.....' I didn't know why he had answered so weirdly until after we had been approved and left the building. BEST LAUGH EVER!) :)

Wow thanks for sharing your experience, this will give us an idea on our journey, we are going to start the process, hopefully everything will go ok for us and again thanks for your advises and the time your are taking to reply

You would need a letter in Spanish and a certified  translation complete with signatures. Also, if she only speaks Spanish be prepared to address the language barrier (if it exists).

There's no communication problems with her, I speak English and Spanish, are you referring to a language barrier with the person we are going to have the interview with?

  13. Hi, Im new to this forum, I see there's a lot of people having the same situation as me, I'm going to get started on this procedure to bring my fiance to US, I've been getting information about the I-129f application and what should be included with the application, im reading each step before I begin to get everything together, on step seven

Does that mean i need to go and get the pictures from my fiance with the signature in the back of it? (see below)

    7.

One passport-type photo (see specification) of the foreign fiance. Write the full name of the foreign fiance on the back. Place in a plastic bag and label the bag "Photo of (insert foreign fiance name) ". Attach the bag to a sheet of paper and place behind the corresponding I-129F.

    Another question

on the form I-129f, is it required a signature from my fiance before i summit my application? if so I would need to take my application with me to Mexico and have her to sign it and get the pictures required from her

I hope this is not too many questions or a confusing topic for you guys

thank you for taking the time to read this
