Hey all. I have a question, and I could not find the answer on here anywhere with a search. Someone had asked before, but it was never answered (years ago in the original Scandinavians thread).
So my fiancé (who is Norwegian and lives in Norway) and I got the checklist from the Swedish embassy today, so went ahead and filled out his DS-160 (it did not have us pay any fees, we just printed the confirmation page at the end). After that, we went to that ustraveldocs website for Sweden, and when we were filling it out we noticed it said in several places on the application that visa documents will ONLY be mailed to addresses in Sweden. It did not even give us the option to put Norway in the address area. As far as I understand, the purpose of providing the address is so that the passport can be mailed back to you with the visa inside afterwards, so we did not want to submit it before checking on this. He sent a message to the Swedish email address thing to ask for help, but we will probably not hear back from them for a while. Does anyone know what to do about this -- just ignore it, or are we using the wrong application, etc?
Thanks!
I had the same message. Just ignore. When you have submittet the application you can pay the fee. When thats done, the embassy Will email you and you can order an appointment for the interview. When thats clear, they email you the confirmation of the date, and the norwegian adress will show up. Home delivery.

I'm curious about Hep B being required anywhere because the panel physicians' guide just states the MMR, TD, flu, and confirmation of varicella for adults, does it not?
Hep B is required if you are a Child.

Question about documents: My fiancé's police certificate is the equivalent of the uttømmende politiattest, just that it is entirely in English (as he requested). Is it necessary to provide the Norwegian version too? I know the English translation is required, but what about the Norwegian version? I'm thinking not, but I don't know how pedantic to be about it!
Mine is in English too, but i have 2 car crashes on there, but that is written in norwegian.

This is what it said in the email I got back in 2017 when I asked some questions. It doesn't say anything about NVC...
"1. Du MÅ ha intervjudato på ambassaden FØR vi kan sette deg opp til time hos oss og før du kan ta røntgen og blodprøve.
Unntaket er forlovelsesvisum/K1, som skal ha den medisinske undersøkelsen før de får intervjudato."Yeah, thats what I got too. ..

Ahhh awesome!!! So... (føler meg så dum!) I contact the KAL-klinikk and get an appointment, then contact Unilabs and just tell them that my medical is whatever date and they will schedule me for the same day?
Følte meg dum jeg også 😂😂
Send an email. If they do not respond, call them. I had to do that.

Takk! I'm a K1 filer (fiance visa), and K1 filers need their medical BEFORE the embassy will give you an interview date. So that's why I'm wondering if I should just go ahead with it now
I did order a medical. I was approved 17th of February. Going to the doctor 14th this month

I think this was mentioned at some point earlier in this thread, because I remember it was called "flerspråklig födselsattest" and had the names of the parents on it. But @Shanne should know
I have 1 that states both my parents names on it. When you go on the webpage for folkeregisteret, you get to choose wich form you would want ☺

If he is also applying for a visa, then yes, he needs to be interviewed as well.
Thank you so much. I just keep hearing so many different things. Some say Kids under the age of 14 does not need to attend.
I guess we will enjoy Sweeden for a few days 😄

Hi there ☺
Better ask my question here in this thread.
Does my 8 year old son need to come with me at the embassy in Stockholm?
