for the people waiting for interview appointment for guatemala and honduras, I read in another forum that getting your state senator involved helped. Find out who your state senator is and send an email explaining whats going on. They will ask for your permission to access your file and demand that NVC and the embassy give them answers. It doesnt hurt to try

    Oh really have you tried?

    Hi guys,

What do you guys use as proof of domicile? Most of all the documents like paystubs, IRS Tax Transcripts have me name and address on them. I don't remember sending anything for that when sending documents to the NVC, but now that I am preparing the documents for the interview it came to my mind again since it's on the list.

    Bank and bills stubs

Just read on another thread that someone waiting for an appointment in Guatemala with a CC date of September 26th has recieved their email with appointment date for January 23rd...

Okay this is where it gets frustrating as hell like my case was Complete September 25th why haven't I gotten anything?? Also just called and nothing again. Last week someone with CC of Sept.27th was scheduled for Jan 22...

Sorry for ranting but this is maddening.

That’s exactly the reason I get upset and really don’t understand when we where told  there is a visa available

Thank you so much for that info it helps a bit to know it's not out of the ordinary for our countries to take this long! We will hit 3 months waiting this Christmas as our CC is Sept.25. Hopefully we will get something at the end of this month it will be such a relief...

I too thought this would be the most "less stressful" point of the process since we are on the last steps but it turned out to be the most stressful! But I am glad to see I am not alone! Hopefully all people waiting on Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador from September will get something very soon! 🙏💟

    Yes... God willingness

So I received our CC letter by email this morning, I was reading all the info that comes attached and it states that it can take up to 3 months for embassy to schedule appointments and specially in countries where there is high demand which are as follows:

    3.  INA Section 203(e) provides that family-sponsored and employment-based preference visas be issued to eligible immigrants in the order in which a petition in behalf of each has been filed. Section 203(d) provides that spouses and children of preference immigrants are entitled to the same status, and the same order of consideration, if accompanying or following to join the principal. The visa prorating provisions of Section 202(e) apply to allocations for a foreign state or dependent area when visa demand exceeds the per-country limit. These provisions apply at present to the following oversubscribed chargeability areas:  CHINA-mainland born, EL SALVADOR, GUATEMALA, HONDURAS, INDIA, MEXICO, and PHILIPPINES.

I see Honduras and Guatemala members posting CC dates in September so hopefully by the end of the month your guys will have your interview!!! Don't lose hope!

I’m crossing my finger on it was supposed to be the less stressful and it’s the worst it’s really frustrating

I hope it is not the same for El Salvador :crying: Ive been at NVC since april 2016 and had to keep postponing due to my pregnancy and other issues and now that I'm ready to end this whole process I hope I don't get hit with the same wait time as you guys :( Lets pray that we all get an appointment soon. Only Honduras and Guatemala have been waiting this long?

As far as I’ve seen yes so frustrating
