@4000mf did you get your passport back already?
Arrived today mate!
Got the 'IV docs in CCD' note on my visa but also got the white envelope for some reason. Wrapping up work with my current client for four weeks then I'll be heading for a POE and my wife :)

I have spoken to a few other IR1-CR1's in London recently and they have said the same... nothing other than the beneficiary's original documents as everything else is already uploaded on CEAC!
All that extra stress my attorney is putting on me as they don't know the updated procedure!!!
Congratulations mate and enjoy your cheap plonk!!!
Mate I’ll be telling anyone who asks to do what we did, dump your attorney when you get NOA2. The original I-130 packet isn’t easy to navigate, but beyond that point NVC and everything else is straightforward, especially with the help of the fine people on this forum

Please let us all know how it goes and what they ask / require????
Easy mate, when people tell you it’s the most pain free part they’re not lying! They let me in 15 minutes early and the whole thing took 30 minutes.
Took my hastily printed courier sheet with no questions too 🤣
You go through airport style security, dodge the big queue because you’re immigration (don’t know that this works for fiancé but I’m CR1), go upstairs, sit down, and your ticket number will call you to two different windows.
Basically two people who already know you’re legit because USCIS and NVC already vetted you ask you a few questions. When did you meet your spouse, when are you moving to the US?
Job done. I’ll have my passport back in a week or two. Absolutely painless XD
Because of CEAC I wasn’t even asked for the affidavit of support or any of my wife’s documents.

Well I’ve signed up and got the courier confirmation page with my documents now, and it is before the interview as requested however close to the wire!
Hoping for minimal delay if any. Knew there’d be something, thanks for the assists.

Maybe it’s just for fiancé visas and I’m fine and overthinking things?

Bit of a worry, I’m in London with my embassy interview in the morning, and I read a couple of posts that kind of sound like I need to organise my own courier for the passport to get back to me?
Thats for other countries right? Tell me we don’t do that in London or tell me quickly which courier has a simple website! 😆
Edit: It’s a CR1 spouse visa if that makes any difference. Because I’m reading that “You are required to register with the courier service at the time you schedule the appointment and pay the MRV application fee” but I didn’t schedule my appointment it was scheduled for me by NVC.
-
I'm at the final hurdle now, embassy appointment is in London on Tuesday 18th, but they still haven't sent me the appointment letter I believe I'm supposed to produce on arrival.
I got an email informing me of the date and time, will printing that be sufficient?

I just wanted to add, you can sail through your medical with a mental health diagnosis if you bring a letter from your doctor explaining your diagnosis, prognosis, assessment of your suicide risk or risk to others, and current and past medication. Ask them to be comprehensive.
A very professional, patient doctor explained to me that such a diagnosis is no bar to a visa, they just have to check on those things. I was approved and heading for my Embassy interview

The UK Border Patrol can not see your American records and they will not ask about traffic violations.
This. I’m sitting here grinning at your worrying over this, not in a mean way but because the idea that our border security care that you made a poor lane switch one time is hilarious.
It’s an absolute non-issue, you’re fine.

Does the ‘documentarily qualified’ message on CEAC count as CC or is there an actual case complete step that’s still to come?
We got documentarily qualified with everything accepted on July 24th and waiting for whatever happens next.

Everyone goes into AP, its routine after interview
Ahhh, ok. I was under the impression that people would often get a confirmation on the day with no AP. At least I won’t be surprised by it now!

I dont think theres such thing?
I paid the courier service when i booked the interview, was £19 for home delivery, my visa was with dx for one day before it arrived, it was AP with the embassy that took the most time (even though 5 working days isnt long)
Do you know what caused the AP?

My application is for a spouse visa...
My documents were approved on ceac on 20th June.
Received email with interview date on 12th July.
Interview date is 21st August.
Hope this helps!
It helps a lot, thank you! Even with the timelines that’s a difficult bit of information to get a current estimate on, it’s a big help

You are correct. She was telling you the fiancé procedure.
An easy error with the number of visa types, I should have been more specific.
Anyone else on an immigrant visa with a rough idea of how long it takes them to assign a date?
-
Is this the case for I-130s for a spousal visa, I’ve read that we have to wait for NVC and the embassy to coordinate and assign a date?

I had an issue of poor mental health around fifteen years ago, I still have the mood stabilisers on repeat prescription as I still have some low-level periods of manageable anxiety.
Almost didn’t contribute to this thread as it’s hard to write and admit, but it’s commendable to those who’ve already contributed so I may as well throw my hat in.
I’m worried it’ll affect my medical at the beginning of September but I’ll update you all and look forward to seeing the updates of others.

Hi all, I’m just wondering what the waiting times to get an embassy interview date assigned are looking like at the moment, we were ‘documentarily approved’ at NVC last week on the new CEAC system.
I know when I get the interview date it’ll be around a month away from the letter so the only unknown variable right now is ‘how long do the NVC and the embassy take to set this up?’
Thanks in advance!

It’s a general form for anyone to download and complete, it isn’t specific to your case, there’s no barcode.

Wow you got a reply after 3 working days? That was fast.
I am also planning to submit the EZ, I am the petitioner. Did your wife include her transcripts from the past 2 tax years after 2017?
She did, three years of tax returns and three years of W-2s.
We're having a bit of an issue now where the W-2 they asked us to reorient and replace appears as 'Accepted' so we can't replace it. She's calling NVC again!

@Wynona make sure all your documents read horizontally, no vertically oriented scans. We got a checklist for those, but otherwise what CEAC asks for is seemingly exactly what it wants. No cover sheet, no petitioner's civil documents, it seems we can throw away a lot of the old information about paper filing. Very quick too, about three working days!
Just a quick cautionary note, the documents required may be different for different forms/number of applicants etc. I'm a single spouse applicant and we used EZ.

I understand what is stated on a website or forum about this but I am making my statement to the OP based on experience from family members who frequently travel, stay the max 6 months and are questioned by officers in FLL. The officer told my aunt to avoid staying past 6mths otherwise her GC would be revoked the next time it happens.
She goes to Trinidad to visit a sick relative who has cancer and helps take care of her. The officer at FLL suspected my aunt of having employment in Trinidad and questioned her thoroughly about her visit and why she does it frequently, etc.
This is concerning, when I move to Georgia to be with my wife I plan to visit the U.K. (short stays) a few times a year to work for my main client as I work freelance.
Have you heard anything that would suggest this is a problem? I’ll be actively seeking a US replacement for that client but it won’t be immediate.

Hello, How is filing using CEAC treating you? We are also gonna be using CEAC for everything.
Seems pretty simple and straightforward, a little bit worryingly so if I’m honest. Fingers crossed for no checklist!
-
I have one more question about CEAC if anyone’s still around?
My wife, the petitioner, is submitting I-864EZ, and all she’s being asked for is the form and the Federal Income Tax Return. Maybe it’s because we’re using the EZ form, or maybe because it’s CEAC, but this seems worryingly light, are we missing something?
We’ll add some pay slips and employers letter etc but we’d been expecting she’d need to provide more. The proof of petitioner’s US status, assets, her civil documents?
We were prepared to have to provide more than just a form and a tax return so we’re a little nervous about how little it seems to be asking for. Seems like all the pre-CEAC info everywhere doesn’t shed any light.
Thanks in advance!
