That is I have to wait for one step to be approved before proceeding to the next but the longest wait is choosing an agent which takes about 2-3weeks approval then the remaining steps just come one after the other but faster 

i didnt have to wait that long I finished all the steps in about a 10 days

How to know if nvc received ur case? 

tracking on uscis site. if it says that they have sent it out to nvc then nvc received it that day

i really dont know what they go on, my friend only waited 2 weeks for her nvc to be all complete and some people wait up to 3 mnths

I recvived the welcome letter because you cant enter their site untill you recive the welcome letter. with the welcome letter you recive the invoice to pay the AOS fee right away

You can pay the fees before you receive the mail! 

it sometimes takes a while for case number at NVC i got approved dec 7th and got my # feb 23, but once you recive your case number it takes about a week to finish everything at nvc and send in your paperwork and then the wait begins

Sometimes USCIS don't send it right away. Mine was approved 12/14/17 and on 12/21/17 they updated my case status with the below message.

NVC confirmed receiving it on 12/28/17 after I called them.

soooo mine was approved 12/08 and my online status hasn’t updated does that mean they didn’t send it to NVC yet ☹️

Ive noticed that as well. I read somewhere that when they send it out to NVC thats when they update the web page

I called yesterday as well, they told us they are working on Feb 2nd.. its been 2 mnths since they have been working on that date... I am starting to get super super super super annoyed

so basically outside time frame is 1 year not 6 months :/
