  1. whats a standard process - to update AVR with message saying we sent you notice of missing documents?

it's called False RFE - it happens a lot especially in the end, I got one for 3032 a day after they accepted it, so untill you get a specific letter - usually in the email saying that a specific document is missing (like tax return on birth certificate) - it's probably false.

  2. Anxiety gives the brain extra energy, which is meant to help solve whatever problem caused it, but ther is a danger - it may turn into irritation, aggression, obsession, addiction, and also auto-aggression and self-destruction and subsequent depression.

just beware if you are not acting healthy and avoiding real issues - like eating right, sleeping right, preparing for moving, new career, etc - please seek medical help. It doesn't matter how good is your horse or how fast you ride - if you are going in circles

BTW any change in human life causes a huge deal of anxiety - and Negative divorce is only slightly less stressful then positive change like marriage, i am sure moving to another country is probably top of all charts.

  3. Congratulations Feliz! I hope that your mother is with you soon! NVC received the DS-230 on October 14th and still no update on the AVR but I am fairly confident that the case should be completed by next week. Best of luck and let us know how your mother's interview goes! Thanks for all of your precious info!

thanks :-) from my experience its pretty safe to predict NVC's speed and actions by other timelines, mine sometimes matched the exact amount of buisness days. Although the time of reaction doesnt tell you if its RFE or approval, so please double check your packet- i saw people getting RFE for Beneficiary's photos and for joint sponsor's proof or relationship with main sponsor, and of course the usual affidavit of support rfe's - missing tax years etc

  4. it took me almost 5 years instead of 3.5 from greencard to naturalization - all i am trying to say- dont spend all ur nervs on nvc, leave some for the 3-5 years ahead. Get busy, plan your career in US

anxiety in animals is given to temporarily raise energy to solve the problem, but humans often try to wear off the extra energy by obsessing over some innocent thing, therefore creating visious circle

especially exersise clears mind and burns fat

  5. here is just getting frustrated, specially because most of us have been married for several years, and there's really absolutely no reason why the Government gives you the right to do it, but make you wast at least a year in this limbo situation, and plus, to get some information you really have to beg on your knees.... THt's just not fair....

when i was waiting for cr1 5 years ago for 10 month, just nvc took 4 month, i remember long threads about justice and government - just remember during ww2 US govt locked up japanese descent people by thousands - just for having japanese ancestors. Government and justice unfortunately is not realistic combination.

I think whats really unfair is that after cranking up fees in 2008 (and causing July 2008 backlog which caused my n400 to pend for a year) the NVC didnt use the enormous available funds to cancel avr and switch to online status reports, its same system as 5 years ago, probably hasnt chNged for last 10-20 years.

  6. I see a lot of us here tired of waiting, I hope this wisdom of patience will help to everyone anxiously obsessed or irritated - first do everything what depends on you, and if you did absolutely all you could, then submit to the will of God - or Universe, don't demand from God, don't be depressed over His choices, but believe and visualize (or pray and belive He will take care of you) about the very best outcome. and be grateful everyday for God/Universe gave you someone to love.

  7. some useful info about times of updates (from spouses forum http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=22011) :

Check after 3PM and 10PM... They do their updates then...

Did you mean "updates after 3pm and 10pm" for AVR or for the online payment website?

The website updates at 3 PM and 10 Pm and sometime in the early morning...

The AVR seems to update in the morning and at 3PM... my observations and the timing of others updates and an operator once let it slip that she had to check for the 10PM update

  8. Check after 3PM and 10PM... They do their updates then...

Did you mean "updates after 3pm and 10pm" for AVR or for the online payment website? I think you said earlier that online payment website updates at 10 pm? which saves me time and nerves, thank you!

Thank you so much, Christeen (F)! I will quote this to parents thread if you don't mind!

  9. Hey guys n gals,

I paid my IV Fee Bill as soon as it was available to be paid online and now on signing in (the invoice page) shows as NOT PAID.... But the receipt page shows PAID and I'm able to print a document cover sheet and all. I called NVC and the operator told me I had paid before the IV Fee Bill was generated. I was under the assumption that we could not pay the IV Fee Bill until NVC had generated it. Has anyone been through a similar experience? Oh and the latest operator I spoke to asked to me to send in the statement from the Bank showing that the payment had been taken out. Will this extend the processing time? Any input is greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!

    God Bless you all!

Hi there I had the same promblem when I did mine .They kept telling m,e you could not have paid it we didnt generate it .So finally after like my 5th call they told me to send in a copy of my bank statement and I did. If i was you I would do it right away it sent us back like 2 weeks .

    Brooklyn

I had same problem too - I paid before IV bill email on Friday, it was "processing" all weekend, then the IV bill email came Monday and status went unpaid, but I had printed a payment receipt - it had a transaction confirmation number, so i called NVC Monday at 3 pm and the bill showed PAID 2 hours later at 5 pm, I printed the bar-coded coversheet right then and ds230 was acknowledged fine. Bank account payment showed like Tuesday or Wednesday.

  10. JustJulie... I looked at your timeline. You seem to turned everything in and waiting for the login fail. Good news is near.

Thanks, that's very kind of you. However, I am worried that the pile of papers in the dusty basement, over there in that far, dark corner where the janitor NEVER sweeps is actually our stuff.

awwww such vision is so sad and lonely, it will make us all cry :crying:

Have you seen the movie "Secret"? Despite all criticism, it popularizes some important basics of cognitive therapy - don't imagine things you don't want to happen, and strongly believe in things you want to happen!

therefore: We can't give up, there is no dusty lonely dark basement, VISUALIZE organized tables in brightly lit offices of smart efficient NVC workers who are doing their best job and VISUALIZE we all will get approved soon, yey :star: .

5 years ago - it took me 4 month just to go through NVC for CR1 visa, total it was 10 loooong months, so this current speed is very fast

  11. Update: The IV bill shows PAID today after 3 days of waiting. I sent the DS230 as well so hoping for a quick case complete. It could take 2-3 weeks depending if there's no delay right? waiting begins..

yes from 1 week to 3 weeks, seems to be a little faster (1-2 weeks) if there was a 2-2.5 week delay for acceptance of email 3032 and they issued RFE for ds230

  12. My question is, if I had sent all the originals to NVC, am I (or my father) going to receive these packets requesting the same docs again? It also goes for AOS documents which is requested in Packet 3.

    Any insight is deeply appreciated.

I haven't reached interview stage yet, but from what I read, they will return the originals at the interview, so you will only need extra copies just in case and may be translations. I saw a list of documents for interview in the CR1- Spouse threads with "ORIGINAL RECEIVED" marked.

Do i need to send the police report , birth certificate etc to NVC or does it go to the embassy ?
