CanadaToCT got a reaction from A Polite Parrot in global entry with extension letter
There was a thread a few months ago discussing this that you may be able to find. As I understand it, you need an unexpired green card to submit the application, but if it then expires before it is approved, your extension letter can be used to get approval. You won't be able to use the kiosks though without an unexpired card, so you will have to go to a desk until your 10 year card is approved.

CanadaToCT got a reaction from chars in I-751 January 2018
Got an update email last night that my card is being produced!. Hopefully it shows up soon.
Applied to VSC, notice date of 1/19/18. No interview, didn't apply for N-400.
Edit: EAC180775xxxx, Old website shows the status update, but the my.uscis.gov does not show the card being produced update yet.

CanadaToCT got a reaction from NikLR in NICS background check states that a LPR, who is the ROC stage, is illegal and unlawful in the US.. How come?
It sounds like you have filed things correctly, and there is just an issue on the NICS end, but if his status has been terminated, you should receive a letter stating that within a week or so of that decision being made at USCIS. You can also do an infopass and have them check his status in the system (maybe a level 2 call center person could do this as well). The service officer will see the status change to a terminated status, or will be able to confirm that the conditional status is still valid.

CanadaToCT got a reaction from NikLR in Error on GC Expiration Leading to Status Termination
That's not correct at all. The issue date is based on when the application was approved. And if it was true, the expiration would be in June not January.
