Ceremony was at the convention center at 8:30AM (we were supposed to be there at 8:30AM when the checking-in took place, but the actual ceremony did not start until 10AM). Ceremony was really great! There were 1010 people that took oath.

I arrived there at about 8AM. At the entrance they assigned a group number to each applicant. Then based on the number assigned I went to a check in table that had my group number. At the check in table an employee took my green card and gave me a packet with several pamphlets and booklets (copy of a constitution, voters registration document, etc). Then I went to the main hall where the ceremony took place. There again I had to sit in an area that had my group number. After taking a seat an employee collected the interview notice that I received in the mail. At about 10AM ceremony began. They had several speakers advise about next steps we must take (updating social security office, getting passport etc.). Then a guest singer performed the Anthem. They showed several videos and had a keynote speaker Kelly Clark (Olympic gold medalist) give a speech. We took an oath and the pledge of allegiance. Finally, they distributed the certificates and ceremony was over. I got out of there at about noon.

Ceremony was very beautiful and for me personally very emotional.

Yesterday I received a new notice

I did not know that there is another "in-line" status for the Oath ceremony. Has anyone else received this before actually being scheduled? I wonder how long it will take to be scheduled for the oath ceremony...

Yes I saw that. I haven't scheduled an InfoPass myself, since I'm a Dec filer and my interview notice should generally arrive sometime in the next month or two based on current trends. But I noticed that the Sac FO didn't seem to have any valid slots available. Maybe @Jaxey or @LMLM can comment - are they understaffed ? Perhaps a small office ? Technically, their performance has been pretty good; in the latest reported quarter, they processed far more applications than were filed, and reduced their backlog by over thousand: USCIS Dec 2017 quarter N400 performance stats : ~2700 received , ~4000 processed . Those are good numbers compared to most other FOs, which are barely keeping up and building upon a backlog. If the lack of InfoPass appointments is a sign that they're simply focusing on processing applications quickly, that's fine with me. From my own data of recent Sac FO applicants, the majority get an interview between 5-7 months of filing. No one's gotten one in much less time though a handful take longer , and they seem to be background check driven.

FO is at a really large government building in downtown Sac, its definitely not a really small office. I cannot speak on how well staffed they are, but if you look at the map they have a gigantic service area, which explains the long wait times. I live 3 hour drive away from Sac, and my FO is still there.

Sure! Sacramento office is in downtown Sacramento. There were multiple people late for their appointments because of parking. There is no parking at the building, so you either need to find street parking or find a paid parking lot. Since I live a few hours away from Sacramento, I drove the previous day to the city, stayed at a hotel 1 mile away, and just took an UBER not to waste time on parking.

After you arrive to the building you will need to go through security and metal detector, and then take an elevator to the second floor. Interviews are held at a room 2-211 (check your appointment letter to make sure I wrote correct room number). As soon as you walk out of the elevator there are many signs showing where the room is. Then you will walk up to the receptionists desk and slide your appointment letter through the window and take a seat. After that, the officer who will interview you will come and call you by your name. Next, you will proceed to the office, and do the interview.

The entire process at the office was very organized and easy to understand.

I had my interview yesterday at Sacramento USCIS office. My interview was scheduled for 8:15 AM, but it did not start until 8:30. I had the nicest gentleman interview me, and it could not have gone any smoother. He said I passed the interview, and that he is recommending me for the citizenship. He said that my oath may not be scheduled until June or even July though, because their may ceremony is already full. Now the last waiting game in the process.

I have had my green card since 2011, but applied for naturalization only in 2017. Technically I am 5 year rule, but on the docs I marked that I am applying as a spouse of American citizen (3 year rule).

Anyone else know what the processing times are? Online it says processing March 28, 2017. But there are people who applied in 2018 and received interview dates.

Most of us have been in the "in line to interview" status for months now. Fingers crossed that soon we will all receive our notices.

I feel like retracting my application and resubmitting online but Texas hasn't had any movement either way so might just sit still lol

I also regret submitting via mail. I am happy for those who received their interview notices, but am really worried about my own application. I am not even in line yet...

My green card is more than 5 years old, and I had my biometrics done almost a month ago. I also still have not heard anything else from USCIS. I think that your delay is based on the delays in processing due to busy service center.

Those that paper filed, when did your EGOV site change? Mine still shows "My case was received" message, even though I did my biometrics week and a half ago. What is the next message I should expect?

Biometrics do not necessarily get done at the same location as the field office you are assigned to. I live in NorCal, and my closest city is Reno, NV. My biometrics were done in Reno, which is different state from my residence, but my field office is Sacramento.
