    smile.. eye contact while answering and be very polite. Be honest and relax your nerve.. don't get nervous 'coz it's your family and you know everything and you can answer everything. Think about talking with friends about your family (just in this case, your life and happiness is depended and the person you are chatting in Embassy has the power to deny or approve). So always remain focused and remember eye contact, smile and very polite. 
     
    If you don't understand the question "say sorry, can you please repeat the question or be very honest and say sorry I didn't understand the question, can you elaborate" They know English is the second language for us and they are very courteous.

    You might want to give the consulate a call and ask if you can bring your baby to the interview. Bring his US passport and birth certificate, yeah. No, that does not automatically qualify you for the IV.
     
    You might be asked basic questions, depending on what kind of proof of relationship you are bringing. Make sure you bring a lot of pictures, flight confirmations, any property you might own jointly or co-mingling of finances. 
     
    Just answer every question honestly, the best recipe for a successful interview. Good luck!
