I follow the discussion in the December 2017 AOS. I'm not sure if these folks are AOS-ing after K1, but some that filed in early December have been approved for GCs already. I don't know if the timeline is comparable to those of us adjusting from other statuses. That part really confuses me. Do K-1s AOS have a different timeline than everyone else?
Yes, it is, they are faster.

Good news and not so exciting news:
I got a text message/email plus an alert on the app letting me know that I will soon receive in the mail a RFE ughh, I am very curious to know what it is about...
Hopefully it is something that I can easily fix and send back by the end of the week. Will keep yall posted when I get it in the mail.
On the another side, the good news is I was able to walk in today and get my biometrics done, 10 days in advance woot woot!!
I went in the afternoon around 2:15pm and it was totally empty, I was the only one in the center. It is only when I was done that a family came in.
The guard and the associate were both really nice and didn't even ask why I came early. I was in and out in 10min max.
I would recommend, if you try to walk in early, to go in the afternoon because from what I read on other threads and saw today there are less busy and you have more chances to get accepted for a walk in.
Im happy for uu wooop woop one step closer. I did mine on the day scheduled but as well went in the afternoon and it was just me an another guy so you have a point.
Hope the RFE its nothing major

Hello ladies,
I called this morning to ask about my biometrics letter, and I was told I have to wait 30days from the date of the NOA (Jan17th) not 30 days from my priority date (Jan 8th) and that Im still withing the reasonable times ugh
The NOA was dated January 18th, so I still have another 10days to wait, hopefully I get the letter before that.
Im really sorry about that, I was just about to ask you. I hope 30 its just an estimated number and you get it before.

Did you guys include your medical exam with your application? My attorney told me not to because of the 1 year validity.
You dont, just take it with you for the interview. Best of luck

Whose SSN was it? Yours or someone else's?
Mine. I got it many years ago it was given to me with a temporary contract but it reads not valid without authorization DNS

It won't be a problem as long as you declare it in your work history. Some things are forgiven but not everything.... If you are not sure, ask a lawyer with a free consultation. And other VJ expert might be able to tell you more.
My own opinion is your won't have a problem as long as you are honest with the whole application. The most important thing to USCIS is to proof your marriage is bonafide and not entered into for immigration purpose.
Thank You

I got married to a us citizen and we are applyin for an AOS, one of the forms ask for any SSN and work history. I worked for a company for 2yrs with a SSN that says not valid for employment and I have paid for taxes, Would that be a problem to file for AOS I have read its forgiven since Im married to a us citizen.
Thank you all
