Hi! I had my interview on dec 4 and did get the I-155 stamp and the IO did not even see my EAD.

Hi! I had my AOS interview in San Jose, CA and did take my hubby's birth certificate but the IO did not ask for it. She didnt ask for my original as well. She saw his passport. Hope this helps. All the best!!

On our Interview notice, it states that the US Citizen needs to bring their Birth Certificate as well as evidence of US Citizenship. Does anyone know if this is a "hard rule"? Or, will my US Passport ONLY suffice??? Just wondering if I need to jump through some hoops to get a copy of my birth certificate. Thanks.At the AOS interview our IO asked if I had my birth certificate with me, and I said yes. She said ok, but then never asked to see a copy of it.
Be on the safe side and bring it, cause if the officer asks for it and you dont have it, you will face delays on your approval.Also, it must be an original with a stamp, not a copy.

HI CB82... To update my status...had my GC interview on Dec 4 and got a card production email on dec 10, although did get my I-155 stamp at the time of interview...now waiting for actual card in the mail
Thanks for keeping this list going and thanks to all VJers for their support...would have wasted money on a lawyer without VJ

Hi! I had my interview on Dec 4 which lasted 15 minutes and went smoothly. The AO stamped I-551 and said I would receive the card in 3 weeks...so i guess it all means I am APPROVED??? Feel unsure when it comes to USCIS
Forgot to mention..I have received no email and neith has my online staus changed after sept 24 ie after they received my RFE reply!

Our update...got our interview set for 8 am on dec 4 at San Jose

Hi! Got an email today saying my EAD Approval notice has been mailed...where is the EAD card???
And then I check the regular mail and what do I see...my AOS interview letter ..yeah!!!! My interview is on Dec 4 at 8 am at San Jose....The online stauts stills shows old status of receiving the RFE reply.....
Now the 'big file' preparation begins....I am so happy

1) You will need to take a written test first
2) You will be required to take a driven test
3) You will have to provide a Passport as valid evidence + any paperwork for AOS/EAD
I just went through this. It's painless.
Thought for me it was a STUPID thing having to take the driven test as I went through 3x worse of a process in Canada. The license should have just transfered over but they don't in California.
Hi ! I am waiting for my EAD so that I can get my proof of legal status and get my CA Drivers License. In your post above you mentioned you just went through it...So did you use EAD card or something else is required to sarisfy DMV???

Hi! I great morning news....I got an email from CRIS that my EAD card has been ordered...finally now I can get my drivers license for starters
It says 30 days but realistically how many days does it take to come in the mail? No touches on AOS after Sept 24..ie after the biometrics. -
Your stay was extended indefinatly by filing for AOS, I believe you can just leave that blank.
Consider this a person living in the USA with a permanent green-card must file AR-11 any time they move, and a permanent green card has no set time of stay expiration.

Hi I am trying to fill AR-11 online and the column which asks for : my stay in US expires on...i put in the expiration of my I-94 which was sept 20...its not accepting it...what to do?

if you fill out the AR-11 online you don't need to send one in the mail too...
it says right on the form where to file the I-865....

Thanks for the link...where does the change of sponsor address form go to..as per the form it says to mail as per your address ( In my case to CSC) but my AOS application is at MSC?? I am confused

Hi ! we are moving to our new apartment the coming week and I understand I need to complete form AR-11: online as well as send by regular mail. I also need to have my husband fill out the I-865 as he is the spnsor.
My question is...where are these forms to be sent out?
I had my Biometrics on sept 22 and I did give my new address there.
