But how can i get it from UK??? Its almost a impossible task for me. I cant get in UK though and I don’t have anybody who can handle it from UK. Im really worried about that matter. Why they need police clearance when people left the country permanently long ago. To me its like a unfair hassle for people even who not belongs to that country anymore
It is not difficult to get police certificate from UK. go to this link https://www.acro.police.uk/police_certificates.aspx .
You can apply online. You have to upload your picture; need to provide TWO proofs of your current address , need one Endorser. You must choose International Courier Delivery. I was in UK also. I ordered police certificate from Bangladesh and they delivered it to my Bangladesh address. They delivered it by DHL. I got it only 16 days. They will provide you a tracking number also.
But, one thing you have to pay it online. You can use any one’s card.

Hi, any update with your case? mine has been on Ready Status since Oct 17... but the consular officer said that my visa was approved. 😔
My medical is expired, so embassy emailed me for new medical which I done last month. Status changed "Ready" to "Administrative Processing".

It’s been a while since I’ve visited this website last.
As far as I remember most male candidates from Bangladesh will go through the administrative processing. The timeline can take somewhere between two weeks to our year depending on what comes out of the investigation. This is a time when patients get tested . There is absolutely nothing you can do, and you will never get a proper update. If everything goes well at some point in time you will get a call from the embassy. What will make more sense is if your USC wife keeps calling the embassy in Bangladesh and asks for an updated status. However I do not think she will get any status either and if it gets delayed she can reach out to a congressman or senator and request them to make an inquiry. These are all standard protocol.
Finally, all I can say is just wait and keep sending your inquiry to the embassy every once in a while, without worrying about the negatives.
Best of luck
Thanks hellraiser.

So, you want to tell that ceac status depends on country. Like you mentioned : "When in Rome, do as the Romans do ". I am giving you some link. If you have time please check that other applicant's status also stuck on "Ready" after their interview. Their case is similar like me but they are not from my country. Another think, I know how to contact with embassy and please I don't need any advice from you. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/586598-ceac-status-stuck-on-ready-6-weeks-since-interview/

How you know that Consulate Officer work like Govt. staff ? I appreciate you, that you have responded my question. But, this is not the right advice. Anyway, thanks for trying.

My wife is an US citizen who applied for me. On July 31, 2017, I attended my immigrant visa interview at US Embassy in Dhaka, Bangladesh. At the end of interview, Consulate Officer told me that my interview is approved and could collect my passport with visa within 10 to 15 days. They did not give me any blue slip. They kept my passport and other documents. When I returned home, I found that Ceac status is showing "Administrative Processing". But, same day it changed to "Ready". Ceac status was "Ready" for 70 days. I contacted couple times with embassy, they always reply same thing in different way that my case is required "additional processing" or "additional review".
Yesterday, my Ceac status again change to "Administrative Processing" . No idea what they are doing. Is it a good sign or bad sign that my case change to "Administrative Processing" from "Ready" after 70 days. Thanks.

Hi guys. I hope someone give me right advice. I am waiting for approval of cr1 spouse visa. recently i went to make new passport as my old one was expired and passport office said i have to spell my address of post office as nagari because recently its fixed spelling by government so i can not change it even thou my old passport got different spelling which is nagori . My birth and marriage certificate already mentioned my post office as nagori because i followed my old passport which is not machine readable . Do u think it will be problem. Thanks
"Nagari" and "Nagori" is all most same. It is Government issue where you have no control. During your birth and marriage certificate, it was "Nagori" and now it is "Nagari". That's why you have to use the new one. I don't see any problem here.

Congrats for your issue. UStraveldocs will update within a week. So, don't worry. Best of luck.

I done my third inquiry about my case by sending email to Dhaka embassy. They replied :
Thank you for contacting the U.S. Embassy, Dhaka.
This is in response to your inquiry of September 28, 2017.
This application currently requires additional review.
Review times vary due to factors beyond our control and we are unable to expedite or speculate about review times. We will contact the applicant as soon as the process is complete. We appreciate your patience and understanding regarding this matter.
Sincerely,
Consular Section
Embassy of the United States
Dhaka, Bangladesh
But, my case status still showing "Ready".

hello, i still dont have any update on my case, does your ceac status last update change, like there is a option that says when was your case last updated. does the dates update? cause my case updated like 5 times since the interview but no update shows. let me know. thanks
37 minutes ago, apin said:also can you tell me how did you send a email to embassy? like where and what did you mention in the email. that would be a great help. thanks
My case updated three times. And obviously, when they replied my email then they also updated my case. For case specific inquiry, the email address of Dhaka US embassy is : DhakaVisaSupport@state.gov . In the subject type your case number. Then, write like what you want to know....like your current case status.....also mention applicant's name and petitioner's name with date of birth.

Thanks aghaaz0719 for your advice. But, The Ombudsman deals only with USCIS. Ombudsman does not deal with Embassy in foreign country. Check the link: https://cis.org/What-Does-USCIS-Ombudsman-Do-and-Not-Do

On, 15 August,2017, I emailed them. They replied that:
"We are in the middle of processing your immigrant visa application to conclusion . You will need to wait for an email from your pre-selected visa collection center for confirmation prior to collecting your passport."
But, I am still waiting for email about my passport collection. Ceac status updated after my email only. Status is still showing ready. Don't know how long to wait. Any one face this similar condition?

I chose endorser from Bangladesh. If your current address is different from your passport address then It is not a problem. For proof of address, I showed my Bank statement from two different Bangladeshi Bank. If you want you can talk with them +44 (0)2380 479 920. I talked with them about my proof of address. They are very helpful.
