Yes absolutely I am aware of those things.
We are married since Feb 2013 and He is in US since Sep 2007. I came to US in April 2015 and he got citizenship in March 2016. So I can cpunt 3 years from March 2016 and we are happily married and living together. Thank you.
then you have nothing to worry about. you are good to file by the end of 2018

those law makers dont care about these at all. they are looking for bigger pictures .LOL...!

It is 04/30/2015
you are the LPR since 4/30/2015 . Your husband became US citizen in 2016.
It’s important to note the condition that you have been both married to and living with the U.S. citizen for the entire three years.
If, for example, you and your U.S. citizen husband have separated, divorced, or merely started living in different cities, then you are no longer eligible to use this exception.
Similarly, if your husband was a LPR at the beginning of those three years and only recently became a U.S. citizen, you must wait until he has been a citizen for a full three years before making use of this exception.

so far, we November filer only has one person scheduled for interview, 2+ weeks after fingerprint ! this is the fastest even on the VJ record !
FP ``11/20/2017 ---> Interview Notice 12/7/2017 ---> Interview 1/11/2018

the health is critical at this point. i would choose to reschedule the interview. it's not a big deal since being such a long waiting.

Hi guys
I immigrated to US in 2015 April and its with F2A. My husband was green card holder at that. Then in 2016, He became US Citizen. So I can file my citizenship after 3 years from husband’s citizenship date. Is that right? Because Married to US citizen requirements are, Has been married to US citizen for 3 years, Spouse is US citizen for 3 years and residing in US for 3 years. I will meet all these requirements soon and wanted to know If I can apply before 90 days of eligible date. Appreciate your responses. Thank you.
tell us the first day of your being permanent resident (on the green card) !

My status changed to "We reviewed your biometrics" , after I did the biometrics appointment, It seems there hasn't been lot of information around on update status like this one.
it means your fingerprint is good enough. the case will move to the next phase, FBI background check, which is the key factor determining the pending time!

My status just changed today! They sent me the oath ceremony letter! So excited to know where and when it will be held!
Big congrants! just last week, you said it has been a year since filed the form (Dec 23).now you reached up the finishing line--oath day!
please update where and when your oath will be ! Are you processing through MSP field office at Minnesota ?

I was naturalized and have my name changed during the naturalization. However, I did not receive my name change certificate on the day of the oath ceremony.(I only receive the naturalization certificate)
I did not even know this until I visa, because they required the name change certificate. (It has been 3 months since I went to the oath ceremony)
Then I went to the district court, but they said they don't have my record and asked me go back to the USCIS local office and create one.
But when I get there they did not help me out, they said they can not do anything either and asked me to go back to court and ask them.
I’m so confuse now, how would I be able to get the name change certificate back?what' s the name on your certificate? did they print the new name on your certificate yet on the oath day?

it a glitch in old version ELIS, if you go to the new version, it says we reviewed your biometrics. Mine has been like this too for 3 months now.
Only when EGOV status says interview scheduled, then you will get the interview letter.
what' the old and new version ELIS ?
EGOV account always has delayed in update than the ELIS account, based on my experience.

Mine was also showing the same thing but later found that was the status for In-line (please see my time lines). I wish it would be true.
08-22-2017- Biometrics - Completed
08-22-2017- Interview Scheduled' status update (in-line)
10-18-2017- Interview was Scheduled' status update in myUSCIS
very interesting to see, the "interview scheduled" status right after fingerprint completed, then 3 more month before the it was actually scheduled.

Gang,
I spent some time today to convert our data set into a Google Doc document. I don't have any strong opinion about the solution/implementation. So let me know if you have ideas on better products or ways to track. Right know the doc is open to anyone who has the link. This obviously is not the best way to manage it. Ideally we can invite people with their email addresses to avoid unwanted access. Let me know what you think. BTW, if we have an admin in the house they can likely post this as a pinned embedded table.
thanks a lot for your help.

The IO took a look of the tax return. This couple has two infants. And only the husband works. They applied fee waiver because of the low income. They had tax return of 8000 dollars last year because of the income and the two babies. The IO also asked him how they can get the tax return and applied with fee waiver.
$8K return is a lot
how much is as "low income" ? how does low- income family like them manage having so many kids?

He said that the only red flag he could possibly think of was that they were uneasy about him being unemployed. But I make enough money to take care of both of us comfortably, and he has not been able to look for a job this year because he'd been taking care of my grandmother in the hospital/nursing home.
unemployment is not a red flag. think about lots of refugees in the U.S. dont work at all. Usually, Interviewers dont question if you currently work or not.
-
ask your husband if he had been asked any question causing potential red flag? sometime, the decision can't be made immediately after interview and interviewer proceed to run an additional check before approval.

there is a huge difference in processing speed between 2016 and 2017.

Name and fingerprint checks usually take a day or two at most from when they're submitted to the FBI. Either they find a match or they don't; it's a very quick turnaround at that point in the process.
when i did my fingerprint, the lady only asked me to put my right hand(without thumb) on the reader. She said no need to do the thumb as usually the system has my fingerprint back to when i processed the green card application.
1-2 seconds later, the computer shows they are matched from the history.
from this ,i have the feeling that .the fingerprint check or name check should be run by computer system very quickly at FBI, the turnaround should be a week or so in each case, but in the reality world, tons of N400 applicants are pending for the background process. it's delayed dramatically.
what will be included in the background check ? what's the main factors causing the delay?

there was no other visitors during when i was there. Just wonder if MN has less applications compared in general to other states ? however, the processing at MN is very slow actually.
