- I am a US green card holder and my wife is an American citizen.
- I am currently applying for my parents' mutiple entry US visas; they are retired and have lived in Dubai for over 40 years now and do not have a property or bank account in Pakistan or Dubai.
- I have sponsored them for more than 7 years now and they both have residency visas.
- I have written a letter to support 'ties to their home country' which includes all the details about how long they've lived here in Dubai for and I have also confirmed that when I move to the United States with my wife they will move to Pakistan and I will take care of their expenses and accommodation.
- I will be submitting my and my wife's salary certificate along with copies of our bank statements.
- Additionally, we will be staying at my Father in law's place and he has also issued an invitation letter which is stamped by a licensed solicitor in the US.
Do you think this is good enough? Any advice will be extremely helpful
Thanks a lot in advance

Hi There,
I got my green card last year and I have visited USA twice since then. I had to fly back to my home country because my work contract finishes this year in Nov 19. last time I went o US I applied for my Social security number and its been a month. They haven't yet mailed it to the given address in US. Is there a rule that you have to stay in US for a certain amount of time to get a SSN.

You can not apply for their tourist visas to the USA. They apply and are accepted or denied based on the strength of their ties to their home country. There is nothing you can provide that will increase their chances. The strong ties can be ties to their country of residence but given you said that they will move back to their home country after you move to the USA makes their case very weak as it appears that they are in the UAE because of you so no strong ties to Home country as they are there with you and no strong ties to UAE because they will leave UAE when you move to the USA. Thus I expect a very high chance of Denial and would suggest that you prepare for that possibility
Thanks for the reply. They have documents to prove their residence in their home country.

Hi VJ Members,
Need some help with just a few quick questions.
- I am Pakistani and never been abroad so as per VJ threads and other Pakistan VJ members I don't need Police Character Certificat at the time of my interview. So I am a little confused here as on Ceac web its ask to upload PCC or another option is (not available). So should I click on not available and submit my legal documents.
- And for AOS on my i-864ez should I left empty USCIS online account number ( If any) empty as I never been to any other country including the USA and am talking about me the Beneficiary
Thanks
Bhai I have a few Pakistani friends and they also provided police clearance now I understand its a long que to get one but you should get one. For example I was born and raised in Dubai but I still had to get one. I clearly remember on the day of my interview they asked for it and took it from me. Which part of Pakistan do you live in I could give you some more information.

Sounds cool.
Can you please tell for how long they kept your passport ?
It's simple upload the documents get a joint sponsor. The Embassy in abu Dhabi had my passport for 3 weeks. They asked for a joint sponsor. Once I emailed the documents to them. They sent the visa in 3 days. They must have given you instructions on a paper.

I am also in a same situation. I have checked online and yes you can enter back again with i551 stamp it is valid for a year.

Yes . You can pay green card fee from overseas.I did the same thing I paid my fee in April and i traveled in 2nd week of july. Remember even you pay green card fee before your travel it will still take 3 to 4 weeks to arrived green to your mailing address. My green card issued on August 2 and i am about to get my card any time on this week. Almost 4 weeks.
Thanks for the info @Nadim just to clarify I will be staying for 3 weeks in the US and I will come back to UAE. If I wont get my physicalgreen card on time my in laws can courier it to me? I can then use it to travel to US again. I have to work in Dubai till Jan 2019 since im on a project.

Hi Family, I am a green card holder married to an American citizen for 13 years. Me and my wife were working on a projection in another country. We were just about to move to US in July. And were in US in February sorted my social security, filed my taxes got a house on rent and came back to compete the project and to close our accounts sell our assets and were ready to make the big move. However I'm afraid that my 180 days out of the country will be over in August and I am not sure when the flights will open due to Covid19. Should I contact the embassy? Can anyone please advise.
