  1. Hello VJ'ers

We have a pending interview this February for our CR1 visa application and have received an email to register our delivery address for the passport and Visa.

I have tried following the instructions on the email only to end up in an empty dashboard page. As in none of my information filled out (ie Visa Information, Fee payment etc…) clicking on any of those doesn’t do anything either.

I have tried going to “New Application/Schedule Appointment”. It gave me an option to pick “Delivery Address for IV”
After I picking CR1, it won’t let me clicking continue. I have tried this at least 5x. Also restarting and switching browsers.

Last thing I tried was to update profile where it would not let me click on “Save” after putting in all the info.

Not sure if it has anything to do with the website or is it just a matter of where to navigate thru.

    Highly frustrated.

Thanks a bunch for any info. Hopefully someone out there just got done registering their address online.

Don't worry about the child, they have about 100 people who stand just outside the US Embassy entrance who can assist you.

For a small fee they offer services like Bullpen rental, They will hold your electronics, they will watch your child, etc all for a small fee.

The issue is will your items or them still be there when you get finish with your interview.

Bullpen . I feel sorry for anyone who wind up opting for those services as a last resort. I doubt they'd leave their kids but I bet some of those guys have made quite a bit of cash running off with some of those phones/ electronics.

  3. Hello everyone,

Hopefully someone can help us with a bit of dilemma before my wife's CR1 interview. Reading a few posts here, it looks like I, the petitioner can go in with my wife to her interview and that USEM allows it. My question is should or can I bring the baby with us? I've read and have been told multiple times that it will help to bring the baby with us. Now I'm left wondering.

    - will they even allow my 3 month old daughter into the interview?

    - If we bring the baby with us. An idea of bring my mother in law with us to help out while waiting. Would she be allowed in? or does she sit outside the embassy.

Daughter is awaiting CRBA interview already scheduled.

    25Jan - CRBA interview

    13Feb - CR1 interview

Thanks in advance for any ideas or input.

I just finish my crba 3 weeks ago and everything went well we just waiting for DNA results for me and for my daughter and after that we are good to go that's the consular officer promise me and all the requirements on their website is not really limited the important is your tax return, naturalization and the us passport and 5 years residence

Thanks for sharing. Hopefully we don't end up with a DNA testing. I heard it's pretty expensive. Planning to send my CRBA in a few days here. Thanks and Happy New Year.

  5. Looking for anyone who've recently mailed these documents for the CRBA application in Manila. Did you include passport photos? Also did you include evidence papers that you won't have originals (i.e. previous flights or itineraries that could only be printed from airline website such as Air Asia and Cebu Pacific)? Obviously we won't be able to bring in originals at the time of appointment but is this something we might have trouble when it comes to the appointment since it says to send photocopies of all documents and forms but bring the originals.

Much appreciate it if anyone has any info regarding this.

  6. So just thinking ahead. Our petition for CR1 is currently at NVC and I'm just wondering what documents we'd have to bring to the interview. More specifically the documents for the joint sponsor. I understand I have to bring all original documents for me (petitioner) and the beneficiary's to the interview. Do I have to bring all original documents for the Joint sponsor as well? W2 and Income tax returns/Tax Transcripts are pretty doable but I am seriously wondering about the other docs (passport, marriage cert, driver's license) of Joint sponsor. As some of these are used on a regular basis specially for my dad that flies pretty frequently. Anybody that had just gone through the interview phase, that has a joint sponsor as well? Would be glad to hear what you brought with you.

Maybe they want to close the year strong and work at a faster pace to reduce the number of pending cases by end of 2017

Its the govt we are talking about though

That'll make for a nice Christmas gift for the family. cc :D

Their year closes on Sept instead of Dec... they are on fiscal year instead of calendar year end so I won't count on that.

Very good to hear. Thanks for sharing that. I know things can go wrong but we are really hoping for a cc before JAN next year. fingers crossed.

you could assume so, there's days off for holidays and people take vacation time.

scan date means nothing to NVC, scan date is when they get your docs into their system, you get this by calling them and asking them, but don't expect them to understand all terms used on this site.

I see thanks. lol no worries I'm not trying to use it for anything. I'm just curious from reading "Scan Dates" here trying to get an idea how long it will take before I can get a reply back from them. I thought I'd get something like "recieve NVC packet/package" or something so I started to wonder.

  9. Hi,

I am currently preparing all I-864's for my wife's CR1 visa application. We are currently in the NVC stage. Preparing to send AOS and IV package along with supporting documents. Please bear with me as I am just a bit frustrated with what set of documents suit our situation.

I am wondering if I have this right. Hopefully someone familiar with this could help out if I have this right. So I am the petitioner and my dad will be a Joint sponsor. How I understand this is, me and my dad will each have an I-864 filled out. Since my mom will be in the same household as my dad. She has to fill out an I-864A.

    I-864 Me (petitioner)

    I-864 Father (Joint Sponsor)

I-864A Mother (being in the same household as the Joint Sponsor and is filing taxes jointly)

    Hopefully this looks right..

Also would I also need 3 Tax Returns/Tax Transcripts from my dad (Joint Sponsor) as I only have the most recent 2 on hand.

Call back and speak to someone else. USCIS mailed my package 10/13  received i called NVC every two days to find out if my package was received NVC received my package 10/24. I called them 10/26 and got my case and iin over the phone and the agent told me i would get notification via email with case and iin along with instructions. After 1am i got two back to back emails from nvc one addressed to me the other to my husband it was our welcome letter. So call them back later this evening and if they don't have a case and iin for you today call them back tomorrow. By the way the evening/night agents are a lot more friendly

Thanks for that great info. I will try calling them again tonight then, hopefully they respond similar to yours. As in we get the email soon afterwards.

  11. Hello everyone. So I just called NVC today and was told that they've received our case from USCIS on 25 OCTOBER which was 5 days ago. Also said that I should just follow the instructions in the email (which was verified over the phone). Oddly there's no email. So I went to check the case in NVC web site and it says:

"Please follow the instructions you received from the National Visa Center (NVC) that list the six steps you must take before NVC can schedule your visa interview appointment. This includes submitting to NVC various fees, forms and documents. Once NVC has received all the required items, they will let you know if anything is missing or incomplete. You can also find these instructions online..."

Should I wait for the email, Since it says on the status online that the instructions are also found on the website?
