Hello!
I finally received my approval notice today!!!!!! It has a posted date of 12/19/18. Best X-mas present!
I filed 4/19/18 so it LITERALLY took 8 months. My case was in Nebraska, which I hear is much slower. Hopefully NVC works a little bit faster now.
Just wanted to give everyone an idea on the timeline as well as a little bit of hope because I know there are times it feels imposible to reach. Patience is key!! 😊😊
Best wishes to everyone!
My husband has a receipt date of 5/12/18, so I hopeours is coming soon as well!!

I submitted in June and had the biometric appt in July.
Nebraska in the past did approve in 3 months, now it is 8+ because a ton of cases were transferred to Nebraska from another center no longer processing 601-A. Their is nobody at this time being approved in under 8 months. Some people who's cases were transferred are just now getting approved from January. I can soon make a case inquiry if they don't set the time back again like they did last month, it went back 3 weeks.

Mine was received May 12th and I am still waiting. It is currently taking 8 months for approval, I am at 7 so hopefully will see something soon. Facebook has a group called 601- a Honduras and people post updates everyday as well as travel info it has been very helpful to me. People from April are just now seeing approvals. All cases are now at Potomac center.

For anyone who is filing a 601-A and from Honduras i made a forum for us since I saw the need. It can be found here.

I am making this Forum for people waiting for 601-A waivers from Honduras. Please share your timeline here or any questions or comments you may have. I will start with myself:
Date sent: 5-2-18
Date recieved: 5-10-18
Biometrics: 5-22-18
We are currently still waiting on approval. Processing times have drasticly slowed down this year i hear as a result of the new administration. Last year approvals took about 3 to 4 months. Now it has changed to 6 to 8. I just thought it may be helpful if us fellow 601-A filers had a place to comunicate it would be of great help while we wait.

I'm going through the same process but only still on the I-130. It's been 5 months next step is 601-a. So I can't be of much help but it sure is nerve racking and very expensive.

I just went through this as well. What they are asking for is the "Folio" birth certificate that is actually in a book in the town you were born. Anybody can pick that one one. We had a lawyer in Honduras pick up the "Policales" not to be confused with the "penales". It is a criminal history record in Honduras. The lawyer charged up 180 dollars and was sent overnight. If anybody needs his contact info I will be glad to give that out.
