  1. Hey guys, I don't know if anyone is active here on this thread but I gotta share this.

I got my new corrected card around June  24, 2018.  Later in October of 2018, I received a mail yet stating that I need to provide more evidence as to why I need to replace the card.  So, i called USCIS to let them know that i have already received the right card and this letter is not making sense to which they replied that since I have received the right Card, I should disregard the letter which I did.  But now a week ago, I received another letter stating that "Because I did not submit evidence, they are denying my green card replacement request and denying me green card".  I have again called USCIS and submitted a service request for which I am waiting for the reply.  This is so mind boggling and i am wondering about the sloppy work updates being done in USCIS workplace that this is giving us the people unnecessary troubles.  I hope they amend the error in their part.

Hi everyone! I got approved on March 5, I didn't receive green card when everyone else did but after calls, inquiries, and bunch of wasted time it finally happened yesterday. Was kinda hoping that since I had to wait 3 month my card wouldn't be in that pile of wrongly dated ones but... of course It is, it says resident since 3/5/2018 as well. Since I got it after recall, I didn't receive that recall notice with prepaid envelope. So my question, should I put inquire online and see what they say or just go ahead and send it to that address in VT with explanation letter or something and hope for the best. Please, any advice. Thanks!

Hi there, before I received the recall notice, I filed for I-90 online form to replace the error card.  I think you should do the same instead of waiting to get your answers.  Whatever routes you go through, you are not gonna be wrong.  It's only about a long process or a little long process.  "Short duration" cannot be related to USCIS :).  Hang in there mate, you are just a hiccup away I guess.

  4. This morning, I had USCIS notification stating they did something on my case.  So excited, I logged into my account and there was a notification dated May 4, 2018 - "We reviewed your biometrics".  USCIS delivering me a month-old FRESH news, seriously!!?? .  And also this Friday (June 8th), it's gonna be 15-day mark as promised by USCIS for returning the rectified card.  I am in shambles regarding that. :crying:

I am so happy. I had my N-400 interview today. Also had my ROC approved beforehand. After 20.5 months, I'm so happy to turn my name green. Good luck to all those still waiting.
I take my Oath on July 4th, which in Seattle is a huge gathering in Seattle Center. Cant wait. Such a special day to end this 6 year journey.

Woohooo!!! A Big Congratulations to you.

I filed for I751 mid September 2016 and filed for N400 at the end of December 2017. Both in Los Angeles

Also recently received a letter saying my case is transferred to National Benefits Center Lee's Summit, MO

As far as I can understand from the tracker here most people who filed around the same time with me heard back and got their cards.

Only logical explanation I can think of that maybe Los Angeles branch was busier than others and thats why I still havent heard back. Or maybe since I filed for N400 they will process them together.

See if only I751 was involved for you, you would have gotten yours by now, but you had your N400 filed on December 2017 that is probably why it's still pending.  USCIS website states they are, at the moment, dealing with May 30, 2017 and the new timeline is approx 9.5 to 14 months.  So maybe you gotta wait a few more months.

For "Transferred to" case, most of us received the same thing only to find out that was never true.

For more trustworthy messages, I would suggest you create a USCIS account.

i got my CDL permit today, so i'm gonna send my green card tomorrow. not sure if it's only me but i got update on my account. My card is in production. unless that what uscis email said. i got this update even before i got letter from uscis. anyway, now i'm gonna have a beer and just relax, hoping uscius won't screw it up again :)

Happy for you mate on the CDL part, yay!! Beer on my tab :P.

I sent my card back on May 18, 2018, but I had biometrics  on May 4, 2018 - what happens to that?  Deep inside, I am getting a feeling of having to wait a year again.  By the way, couldn't shake this thought off --  Has anyone sued USCIS?  Myaan!! too much is too much .

My card has been at CSC for a month (minus 4 days) and all I've heard is that they're going to see if I qualify for an expedite. Which I do, because they fudged up and there's a recall. If I don't get it back in the next couple of weeks then I'm filing another service request to inform them of their own recall and 15/20/whatever amount of days turnaround time that has been promised.

Probably when CSC started receiving those errorified cards, they may have realized about the errors and announced it so I am just guessing maybe CSC will relocate your card to the main production line to the VT.  If this sentence is true then 15 days is expedited enough ha!

Anyone received the new corrected card? I'm mailing mine today with the letter i got.

Nope, they are still collecting it I guess given the 20-day window to return the card.

    And,

Please disregard my post above :) Found the answer on the web, thank you.  15 days is what they are going to take according to one of the article, they corrected the input in one of the error-filled machine.

  10. Hey guys, see, I had the stamp in the passport which was from when our I-751 was pending and it was to expire in October.  And we got the incorrect Permanent GC and to correct it, we again had to do biometrics.  On that day, I also asked them about my stamp and the officer put a "NOT VALID" sign on the stamp.  Now, my question is Can I still get a new infopass because our "Corrected Card" is pending at the moment?

  11. Finally, USCIS is admitting openly about this error, hmm..how shameful.  It's everywhere on the news.  8K+!!!  WOW!!!  Somebody had been sleeping in the job ha! :D.  When errors were happening, what were these people looking at and how come no one noticed?? Seems like some of the people needs to be fired for the mishap.  But still, it is nothing new.  It happens every year.  Waste of resources at their end and waste of time at ours and I might sue them for my white hair hahahaha.  Anyways, without further adieu, I mailed the GC and copy of the letter today, Here begins again the "Game of Throwns"  Good luck to all.

Thanks, I was already approved on 4/26, but my husband passed 3 days after the 400 interview which complicated the whole process. My green card production might be put on hold because they approved my 400 probably by mistake. Due to the passing of my husband, I am supposed to lose my citizenship eligibility by law, so I will probably lose my eligibility at the ceremony, and they will resume the production of my green card upon my 751 approval. Complicated and frustrating.

We are very sorry for your loss , prayers for the family.  Hope everything will work out for you.  I don't understand you losing your eligibility in this way though.  Hope USCIS will take your case into consideration.

Sigh. I've been waiting for 578 days. I'm already on my second i551 stamp. But I guess I can't really do anything but wait. The rep I spoke to a few days ago said I should call back in June since I'm still within the 17.5 to 19 month processing time. I'm just anxious that so many other Sept 2016 filers have got their cards. According to this forum, a lot of people heard back in March. I've felt like crying while reading through everyone finally getting their cards.

Hi there, I am assuming that my input would help you be patient a little bit more.  We did wait the same period as you, mine was 19 months exact.  Got the card but with an error for some of us (Date of Resident since : Supposed to be "2014" but printed "2018"),.  I just placed I-90 recently with a timeline of yet another 11 to 11.5 months.  Yours is better case because your have a combo.  However late, not just within the timeline but around it, you will get your paper.  Almost there now, woot!! woot!!  By the way, I am almost on my second stamp too.  I was very afraid to use my first stamp for travel but now the second stamp, i will use it.  People are using it.  All is Well, all is well

  14. Thanks to the 18-month of ROC processing time that it made me  an expert wait-er hahaha.  My biometrics is on May 4th and the total processing time on the USCIS website for I-90 applications is 11 to 11.5 months, Wow!! My stamp expires September and DL expires October.  Kinda' tired of going to DMV for another year of license, but what the hell right? First time for everything   Positivity..breath in....breath out..

  15. 1 hour ago, Ketsuban said:

That is the exact same response I got :D

Hmm..I think I am following you guys..so that mail from that informed delivery is not biometrics but this info.  Any idea how many days "Expedited" means?  Tsk tsk tsk I am feeling i have to push my "fly home date (July 1st)" again :crying:.  So, at this point, we can't use the Stamp right?  It expires in September.  Somebody was so right that in America, its very beneficial if you become illegal

unfortunately to get a CDL driving license you need to have actual green card, not a I-551 stamp. to renew CDL, stamp is ok but not to get it for a first time :)

and i need it for my job. So i'm gonna get my commercial driving licence and then apply for citizenship and we will see :)

I think IL of all states seems to make this more complicated but have a read here:

    https://forums.immigration.com/threads/illinois-dmv-not-accepting-i797.332714/

And on USCIS website, it also says the stamp should be verified on USCIS/SAVE.  Have a look at it.  When DoH tells you that your I-551 is the proof of your residency extension and has equal power in paper then DMV people needs to hear it loud, they don't come above DoH.  Talk to the USCIS local office and ask questions man.  There is a saying in my country, "If you speak, you can sell wheat.  If you don't, you can't even sell rice". Good day .

FML :)  i've been waiting for last 8 months to get a CDL driving licence  ( i need it for work) and i couldn't get it because i need green card in my hand ( not letter, or stamp in my passport) and now i see i also got 2018 as a date i became permanent resident. If i'm gonna have to file I-90 and wait for another year to have my GC replaced i'm F....d :)  so for now i'm just waiting how this is gonna end up. Worst scenario i can loose my job, so probably i'm just gonna leave my GC and wait 5 years to apply for citizenship. i could kick someones A.s.s

Hello there, do you know that your I-551 stamp works exactly like your GC.  It is the replacement for your pending GC.  With that, if any employer tells you, you can't apply a job then it's illegal.  Know your rights.  At least that is what I read :)  Dig around bruv, why wait and lose a job when you don't have to.  Cheers!!
