Mine told me to wait till they changed to May and was a month past.  Did that and her immediate response was "I'll write them again but expect the same results, they're not working on late May yet".  I wrote back with a screenshot from my app showing a May 29th approval and told her they are approving beyond and there's the proof of it.

I would not try understand it. It is a lesson in madness when, instead, you can employ yourself to something more positive. My petition was received 5/5/17 and I got an RFE yesterday (10/17/17). That's over 5 months of waiting and it still was not approved. Probably another two weeks will be added once they receive the RFE from me. For the most part we cannot control what happens at the USCIS, but we can control how we respond to it. Do the best you can, hope for the best, and rest your heart and mind by doing something more positive. Don't let this stress you.

Guys it's so wonderful to see so many good news in this forum yesterday!!! I hope it rains approvals today just as much.
 
I'm on the day 18 after noa2 and no NVC number yet

DS-160 is filled out online, you can start it now and save it just don't submit it until after NOA2. Also  be sure you log into it every 30 days otherwise it expires also
 
The form that is taken to the interview is i-134 affidavit of support from the petitioner.
