ROMEO880 got a reaction from MadeForEachOther_ in I-751 July 2017 Filers, Part II
    Hi All,
i would appreciate if someone could respond to me here.
I had a N400 and I-751 combo interview yesterday and after interview letter was given to stating that I passed my test however decision has not been made on my citizenship application. Today, GC application status shows card is being produced. However no status update on US Citizenship application.
    Questions:
    1. Since card is being produced, am i going to receive the card? Since I went for combo interview
    2. How long does it take to get decision on citizenship application?
Please advise if anyone here experienced the same situation.
    Thank you

    Hi All,

I was able to get I-551 stamp today for one more year. The Officer did not take my GC or extension letter. He also gave me an update on my case saying that the case was getting ready for the local office. However he suggested that I should apply for N400 so they will interview me for I-751 and N400 together.

    Thanks

I checked two weeks ago for Vermont it was 13 to 17 months, and now it's 13 to 16.5 months. Well at least a little bit faster...

My GC expired August 2017 but I was out of the country for a month when my 90-day window opened and didn’t want to risk not being there for the biometrics notice (and had nobody to check the mailbox for me), so I filed in July instead of May. I would guess others who have filed their N-400 already were in similar positions...not everyone files ROC on day 1 of their 90-day window. Hope that helps!

    YAY!!! Just checked today's status.

On June 24, 2018, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number EAC1726600081, and will mail it to the address you gave us. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

We mailed request on June 20, 2017 and it was filed on July 10, 2017. Why the date is a Sunday, I know not why. But when the card gets here, I will post here. We are so happy!

    Hi All,

Just wanted to share with everyone, someone I personally know filed recently for I-751 and received 18 months extension letter. This 18 month extension is a pretty new policy and I already see if getting applied to new filers.

Hopefully, we get our new extension letters soon.

    Thanks,
    MB

Thank you so much Mrs TBH. This was really helpful, I will follow your instructions and will look into InfoPass everyday for an appointment. I am not planning to travel but just in case of an emergency it would be a smart idea to have a I-551 stamp. I will definitely scan front and back of expired green card because I am planning to apply for N-400 (naturalization) as well. If IO gives me hard time saying have to wait for extention letter to expire, I will make another appointment. Question: Is it okay to give IO my expired green card in order to get stamp? usually when you go for US citizenship oath ceremony they ask you for you green card before giving you a naturalization certificate and honestly not sure when this 10 year GC will arrive, lol.
