  1. Hmmm... Im sorry to hear that! Here in the philippines is totaly different. I just received my packet 4 right?! I called St. Lukes, asked them If i could go there earlier than my schedule date, They say, As long as I have my appointment letter I can go there to do my medical exam. Yeah, I really want to do this early for less hassle just in case they would intentionaly delay my medical exam/interview appointment.

Yeah, dont worry we're almost there!!!! Good Luck

  2. yay!! im soo happy I got my packet 4 today!!

    God is really Great!!!

yeheyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy congratssssssss .. i got mine too yesterday........... hey when do you plan to have your medical? Maybe we can go together ? what you think.. just send me the message dear..

    Boo

yeah, actually I called st lukes yesterday and they said that I can go there ealier than my sched date. My husband wants me to do my appointment tomorrow

  3. Hey Everyone, I stated in my last post I would post some details of Maries interview once she filled me in about them, so here we go.

First I will tell you about the possible sponsor dilemma I thought we might have had (but didnt). With a K Visa they do not allow a co-sponsor. This was not good we thought because I was laid off last year for a long time and I didnt meet the income guidelines. I am currently making well over the guideline but that didnt change last years proof of income. We actually thought about not even trying for the K-3 Visa but to simply go with the CR1 Visa(co-sponsor is allowed) but after asking about this on the VJ forum I was advised to use the co-sponsor we had as the primary sponsor. I also learned that a number of people at the Manila embassy were being granted K-3 Visa's if the sponsor was a close relative(Brother,Sister,Parents) . So we thought why not try.

Marie showed up at the embassy at 4 AM, Im not sure this was necessary but I think I would have done the same thing. She was called inside promptly at 7:30 AM (her scheduled interview time) After some time she was called to the window where they check all of your documents before the actual interview with the officer. She gave the lady my Brothers I134 Affidavit of support and then the lady asked for the beneficiarys affidavit also, so then Marie gave her mine also. She asked where we met and when and that was about it for that part. Then about 11:00 she was called in for her interview. It was a American Lady doing the interview. Marie said it took all of 2 minutes. She just looked through the papers asked how we met and that was it. Marie said she seen a pink piece of paper that said "APPROVED". She then waited until she was called to the Delbros Carrier window - she went to the window and paid for her visa 2 be delivered and that was it-ALL DONE.

THANKYOU everyone so so much. If it wasnt for Visa Journey we coulkd have never done this without an attorney. We still have more to do yet but at least now we can do it together. I can only wish everyone has a speedy approval like Marie and I did. So Again- Thankyou and God Bless - Gary and Marie

Thank you for this... Now I feel kinda relieved since we are goin the same thing. Our co-sponsor will be my husband's mom. So I think nothing to worry about I134 thing.

  4. Hi all,

I just applied for I129F for my wife and just found out that my check was cashed! I was trying to use the USCIS website to track my case, but it kept saying case number not found. Do you guys think its too early to check case online and I should wait until I get my NOA1 in mail? btw, My number starts with MSC#####(13 digit number) is this normal..? I sent my packet to chicago office. thanks for any help in advance.!

Yes I think it's too early to check it, no worries about it cuz I believe it will show the status soon, and yes again it's normal to have that number starts with MSCXXXXXX.

    Good LUCK!!!

  5. hELLO TO ALL VJ'S

I am the petitioner for my wife in Philippines for K-3 visa. My wife recently received the pre-interview notice(packet 3). Does anybody out there know if I-134 could also be submitted by anyone else other than the petitioner ? because I am still in college student without enough income, but my mom is fully willing to be the sponsor and submit I-134 for me.

Is there any one who has been approved by the Manila embassy using somebody else other than petitioner to submit I-134 ? or does any one have this knowledge on the Manila embassy's policy in this regard ?

    THANKS,

    Jacky Wang

  6. Greetings!

I am preparing the documents for my husband interview. I have called him you using a online calling card service. The calling card service has all the dates and times of the purchase of calling cards. I only have a few phone bills because it is so expensive to call directly. What have been your experiences?

    :dance::dance::dance::dance: April 23, 2007 THE BIG DAY!

Well, My hubby is using online card too!!! yeah he saves a lot of money using that! well, If you want you could print those online purchase u made. It would help, maybe?! we wouldnt know!!! =)

  7. wow! I am soo happy when i able to check my visa interview appointments at the US EMBASSY yesterday! My medical is on april 10th and my interview will be on april 17th. Now, my question is when do u guys think Im gonna receive the packet 4?

Anyhow, let me share u a story from my mom's friend who's also on process of petition and already took her med exam, she told me that doctors and nurses are very strict in st lukes. The doctor asked her about her white spots on her skin and guess what? the doctor recommended her to have some follow ups at st lukes in quezon city to check on it. and That check already caused her a delay for her interview date.It took her 1 and half month to have her interview date schedule.Well, I hope it won't goin to happen on us. are they intentionallu tryin to stop/delay us getting our visa on time.. yay...that kind of thing is so upsetting...

I would advice to everyone to take care of yourself, get fit, drink vitamins before the medical exam schedule!!!

    Good luck!!!!

  8. hey where on the same timeframe I just need to ask where can i find my sched as well. What link should I go?! Im soo happy for you!!! good luck to ur journey!

I got packet 3 already on 01.26.07 it's 2 pages. and on the 2nd page there's a checklist of documents should i bring on interview. Im just wondering if would received same latter as yours?!

  10. HI, BESIDES WESTERN UNION, DOES ANY ONE KNOW HOW TO SEND MONEY OVERSEAS AND THE MONEY GO DIRECTLY INTO MY FIANCEE'S BANK ACCOUNT.

    THANKS IN ADVANCE

For sending money to the Philippines, "Xoom.com" is much cheaper and way better than Western Union. And it provides you much more choices. U can have money directly deposit into your Fiancée’s bank account, or you can even request cash to be delivered at your Fiancée’s Door, or even have your Fiancée pick it up in Dollars at participating bank. It is really convenient, you don't need to go anywhere but just click any of these options through Internet. Just check to see if her bank is listed on the participating banks for direct deposit. I’m pretty sure most of the well-known banks in P.I. are. You can even deposit in dollars if ur Fiancée’s account is a Dollar-account. I was soo happy to find out about this cuz it saved both me & my wife lots of time. She doesn't need to leave the house any more but just wait for the money to be deposited. Check this out," https://www.xoom.com/"

    Hope this will help.

    Good luck

  11. hello there!! Both I130 and I129F got approved already! and We confirmed from the U.S Embassy that our papers are with them on January 6, 2006. They say that I wont be receiving packet 3 instead I will be receiving K3 packet (I think they combined packet 3 and packet 4) My question is, So when can I receive a packet? How long does it usually takes?

    Thanks...

  14. Thank you Yodrak. My wife will apply for K-3 visa and adjust her status once she arrive here in the US. That's what is being noted on the original application. For my lawyer I don't know what to say i don't wana offend him but I am a hotel employee under a Union contract so he is a Union lawyer who does everything. He is there for case . Immigration, work incidents, divorce... ect . That's what you get when you get a free service from a Union lawyer.

Anyway you are right I just called the USCIS and they told me that i don't need I-824 unless I need to adjust somthg from the original application. They already sent my application to the consulate abroad. So i am all set. Thank you all for yoyr support. This website was very helpful to me.

God bless all the members and the one who came up with the idea of making this site.

Happy new year to all of you.

we're on the same situation. :wacko:http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...mp;#entry629945

  15. AnneiyAndJacky

Then why did you send an I-824 to have the approved I-130 petition sent to the DoS? When you apply for adjustment the USCIS is going to have to go get the petition back again.

    Yodrak

    AnneiyAndJacky,

You should get something from the NVC with regard to the immigrant visa several weeks to a month or so after they receive the approved I-130 petition from the USCIS. By then the approved I-129f petition should already be at the consular section in Manilla and your K3 visa application in progress.

Are you planning to return to the Philippines for the immigrant visa rather than adjust status from K3 here in the USA?

    Yodrak

=== Im planning to adjust my status in the U.S not in the Philippines.

We simply followed instructions on the approval notice of I-130. The USCIS made a mistake & thought Anneiy is in the States already and states that Anneiy can either adjust status at the local INS office or notify USCIS if not. Jacky also called the USCIS customer svcs and informed them the mistake. AND THE AGENT WHO ANSWERED THE PHONE SAID THAT I (JACKY) CAN FAX OR WRITE TO THEM TO INDICATE THE MISTAKE & FILE THE I-824 AT THE SAME TIME TO TELL THEM (uscis) WHAT WE WANT THEM TO DO NEXT. So Jacky did write to them regarding the mistake & filed I-824 and have already got the receipt (NOA ).

I guess what the USCIS agent said was misleading. I just spent $200 dollars for I-824 which most people did not have to. On the I-824, I chose the option "forward the approved petition to NVC."

We spend most attention on pursuing i-129F so we forgot some progress and thought I-130 should also be forwarded from USCIS to NVC just like I-129F.

  16. It seems to be normal for it to take several weeks for the approved I129F to get to NVC. You can call NVC to check if they have received it.

I am also curious regarding your filing the I824 - did your I130 NOA2 indicate that it was being retained? It would only be necessary to file the I824 if you hope to interview for the CR1 in the Phillipines.

I am going to add you to the Tracking Approved I130s thread in the I130 forum. Not many people have had to file the I824 yet, so we really don't know how long it takes.

    Good luck with everything!

MY I-130 NOA2 did not indicate it was being retained

thanks for all infos.. We called NVC and said that they already got the NOA1 form for I824, and that's all we've got as of now

  19. boo wilson,

yes yodrak hubby and i decided still to pursue I-130.. thanks.. coz we dont know when we are going to have our I-129f approval well we will just wait and see.. sighhhhhhhhh

I think I would continue to pursue the immigrant visa and do nothing about the I-129f petition for the time being.

    Yodrak

    boo wilson,

Do you know where the I-129f petition is being processed? Is it at the NVC or the CSC?

    Yodrak

hello vj members..... all of us here wanted to be with our husbands and wives as soon as possible right?... my husband filed k3 and our I-130 got approved quicker and now it is in the middle of process while our I-129f still pending.. i have two questions in my mind should we abondoned our I-129f and pursue our I-130 instead? and if we will do the I-130 after the case completed how long usually it takes in the philippine consulate to have my schedule for interview and medical? i heard they said it will take longer to have an appointment for that. Please all your comments and suggestions will be appreciated...

yodrak it is in MSC... NATIONAL BENEFITS CENTER... our case still there i guess they will not trasfer my case anymore((( just wild guess)

i would advice to contact the customer service regarding your status maybe that would help!!!
