Filed on August 17th and still no interview date; case status on account says 3 months until completion. It’s a bit worrisome that we haven’t gotten an interview date yet.

Got our appointment letter today for 3/21/2022. Boston Office
Congrats! We still haven’t received an interview date yet. Hopefully we will receive one soon as we have the same filing date.

According to some users on Reddit, the average wait time to an interview was 5 months for Boston. I'm assuming the 2020 applications that had their A-files locked underground are slowly trickling in to the officers' workload.

Filed online August 17th w/ biometrics reused notice on the 17th, as well. Local office is Boston, MA; still radio silence. I believe another person filed in September who already received an interview date.

Hi,
Thank you for your reply! Our local field office is Santa Ana. We applied at the end of June.
I did actually get the notice in the mail yesterday and it looks correct.
Thank you for your reply! Our local field office is also Santa Ana. We applied during the middle of July, so fingers crossed we also get our interview notice soon. Good luck on your up coming interview!!

Hello all,
So I got some good news today and saw that the I-485 petition I had submitted for my wife got approved for interview! However, I'm a bit confused because the notice on their case status website says "Employment based interview was scheduled.
This is pretty confusing since I didn't apply for an employment based AOS....?She was coming from a K1. Did anyone else see the same thing...?
It's a known glitch in the system. Once you get your interview notice in the mail, it should be correct. Can I also ask which office is your local field office? -

Oh my! That is definitely not worth the hassle at all! Have you tried talking to a Tier 2 officer about it?
We unfortunately raised numerous SR's to which one was completed with no response received, calling a tier 2 officer with no avail besides given the generic answer of to wait for the interview to be scheduled..

Does anybody know if scheduling an Infopass on the I-485 works? By the definition of the USCIS website, I'm not 'outside of the processing times' (9 months since filing and 8 months since it's been ready to be scheduled), but I've been wondering if going to my Local Office will give me answers.
My wife and I have actually made an infopass appointment just to check up on our i-485 status (Our case has been 'ready to be scheduled for an interview' since August). Upon inquiring about our i-485 status to the immigration officer, the officer literally just looked in the system and gave us a generic answer saying that our interview is ready to be scheduled and to just be patient. I'd say it's not worth the hassle at all. Just my thoughts.
