This doesn't make me excited that our Field office is slow in processing We'll be mailing off our AoS paperwork on Monday.
I didn't think it's slow...we sent our AOS package last June, biometrics in July, interview April 1st, and approval last week! Hopefully yours moves fast as well.

Really? That’s great, congrats to you! Was the officer nice to you?
Thanks! And yes she was. She was super nice and personable, it was more like chatting with someone we knew rather than an immigration officer making us feel intimidated. Officer Fields I believe was her name in case you get her

Did you get approved ?
Funny you ask me that - just got notification yesterday that my card is being produced! Interview went pretty well but the IO didn't approve me on the spot because she wanted to make sure that I was admissible (even though it was cleared from the K-1 visa). We were worried that it would take months or even years to hear anything back. Thank God 🙏 we are now stress free and our life can truly begin!

Please keep us posted if you hear back from them. My AOS interview is coming up and I came in on a K-1 as well. You'd think it would be easier since the Consulate already did a lot of work on the case...

That’s great! Let’s preay for it to go smooth and Yes keep me updated please, did you have RFIE ?
No we didn't receive any RFE's - thank GOD! They accepted our AOS application pretty soon after we submitted it. However, the K-1 process was a nightmare! I unfortunately have a CIMT conviction but it falls under the petty offense exception so I am not inadmissible, but when I went for my interview up in Canada the IO denied me a visa. Our lawyer had to submit documentation and proof that my CIMT actually qualifies but they STILL denied it, so he had to go above and beyond the consulate to a department called Legalnet who then overrode the consulates decision and approved my visa. That took almost 4 months after the initial interview! So yeah, we are hoping and praying that my AOS goes smoother than the K-1 🙂

Have you gotten your interview date yet?
Yes I did! April 1st is my interview. I'll update once it's done. I'm really nervous though, as our case is just a little more complicated than others.

Hi, I also filed AOS through marriage and just got notification that my interview has been scheduled so that appointment letter should be in the mailbox any day now (also going through Nashville field office). June 21st is when we filed for AOS.

Hello everyone, I'm just wondering if anyone else's employment authorization is taking as long as mind. I know the USCIS processing page says 4-6 months, but there are so many cases that have been approved which were filed after ours. Our receipt data was 7/16/18.
I'm getting pretty nervous over here.....
My receipt date is June 21, 2018 and I'm STILL waiting for the combo card! Crazy thing is that on Oct 5th I got a letter stating my EAD and AP were approved AND I also received my SSN in the mail, but still no combo card. This is so frustrating.

Definitely will!

Oh boy, I am going to disregard you breaking the golden rule of immigration, "Never make plans/purchases until official documents are in hand."
Start calling and be adamant about speaking to someone at a senior level to at least get the status of your card. There have been cases where there have been attempts made to deliver the card but the card was sent back to USCIS. Be diligent in finding out what the status of the card is.
Thanks, I did call once and they said 30-60 days but I will call again and ask to speak with someone in a higher position to get a more straightforward answer 👍🏽
Well, thankfully we can change flights with no penalty charges since the hubs has status with Delta. The only problem is that we booked a great rate and now the flights have gone up in price for later dates! Oh well lol 🤷🏽♀️

Does anyone know how long it actually takes to get the EAD/AP combo card in the mail after it is approved? I received approval notification in the mail last month (date of notice was Oct 5th) but nothing else since then, and USCIS online still shows the status of "application received". My husband and I got so excited when we got the letter that we booked flights to visit my family for the holidays but now we might have to change plans in case I don't get my card! 😩

Hi everyone,
We filed my N-400 on March 17th. Within a few minutes got notification that they’ll be reusing my biometrics (yay!). Now we wait as patiently as possible 😀
