Hi there! I’m also British and an April filer in Orlando. I had my last update in July. ‘Ready to schedule interview’ but since then nothing. I looked on line the current waiting time on uscis is 15-18 Months 😩. 

Hello, I have just found this thread and feel so relieved to find people in the same boat who have been on this journey already.

I got married and filed our I 485. I have received already my EAD combo card. 

As of July 17th my status says 'READY TO SCHEDULE'.

By looking through this thread it seems Orlando is not a quick office?

I also wanted to ask did anyone get a DL/Florida ID while they were waiting? How did you go about this?

How on earth???? That's terrible! I am going to call them and make sure mine is ok. I had mine on the 9th... Did they give any more explanation?

Just to clarify I don’t plan on doing anything to jeperdise my visa. Not that I need to justify myself but the  wedding was planned before we knew these facts. The research we did showed a 12 month time line from start to finish. I found this website after we had filed and booked. I just wanted to know my options from here. Thank you. 

The wedding would be in Florida. So it is still legally binding even if we don’t have a marriage licence?

Thank you everyone. Unfortunately we are in quite a pickle as several people from overseas have booked to come to our wedding. So it’s not just our money on the line.

Does anyone One know if it would be an issue if I flew over on a visit and we did the ceremony but not the legal marriage. Could this cause any legal issues? If it was just a ceremony and we do not sign a marriage licence? My fiancé is worried this could look bad to the embassy...

Cannot believe i have been missing out on this thread until now.

We filed on June 29th and got our NOA1 July 2nd.

Are people getting their NOA2s already?  I am desperate for news like you all I am sure!

In need of some advice as my fiance and I are extremely stressed and don't know what to do. 

We filed for the K1 visa back in June on the 29th 2017 and received our NOA1 July 2nd. We  met on a ship and have several friends who have been through this process they advised us that it shouldn't take more than 9 months. We checked  timelines at the time  everything seemed to agree with that. So we ignorantly planned a wedding for beginning of April and hoped for the best.

However we have not even had our NOA2 back yet and I am reading that the process after that is also very backlogged and may take several weeks after that.

Does anyone have any idea how long the process may take after we receive our NOA2? My embassy is London. I am just so stressed about getting there  for April I am getting sick. Just need someone to talk to as my  friends  and family don't really understand how horrible this limbo is...
