    Yes, our Congressman is involved.

Not much they can really do except make sure the denial was by the books. Since you weren't at the interview, you only have fiancee side of the story..just saying!!  Wouldn't surprise me though if he's from the DR and denied..something didn't sound right and the CO isn't going to risk it. Good luck, maybe the CR1 would be a better route .

Did you have to return your marriage license after the civil ceremony to the OC clerk recorder and file a request for a copy? The lady on the phone told

me that we have to make a request to get a copy after our wedding

Anna, we did the civil ceremony and license all at once...there was need to return license after getting married. I requested a certified copy at the same time applying /civil ceremony.

  3. Not trying to be cheap, but Orange County is less expensive and much more eloquent as it's a historic courthouse. They have three different places in orange county  to choose from. I married at the court house and was able to get a certified copy in two days, albeit I hear it takes about week on average.  If you're a 90 Day Fiancee viewer, jorge and anissa tied the knot there.

  4. FIrst, you might want to clarify if the SSDI is for retirement or disability, as it seems a little confusing since you state " a long  career of working" and a reply mentioned "disability" by a poster.

The only scrutiny that maybe noticed is if you mention your "side teaching jobs" in addition to your social security, if you disabled. Because if you are disabled, how can you be "teaching on the side" when a requirement of the disability states permanently disabled and can't work at all?  This could be seen as fraud.

If you've worked a long career and retired, and still work on the side, that's a decent citizen and you deserve happiness.

ChrisMCFish, I have the same problem On Sept. 27th 2017 our 129-F was approved then sent to the NVC where it stayed 4 weeks, I finally called to check the status and they advised that it was requested to be returned to the USCIS on the 8th day of November the NVC had it since the 11th of October, after another phone call they again advised me that it was not sent back on the 8th that it was requested back on the 8th and actually went back on the 14th, my fiance in the Philippines wrote a request and NVC tell her it went back on the 17th of November. So you see we have three different answers as to when it actually went back and in the computer it still says it is at the NVC as of today 11/22/17. The USCIS computer still shows it was approved and sent to the NVC. I do not have a clue like you as to what is going on and why after it was orginally approved, cannot get anyone by phone to tell you anything or why it was returned or any notes listing the reason for the return to the California office. I have sent also inquiry noting the same and yes the NVC did not send any notice it was sent back and everytime we inquire they give a different date that it was sent back 2 calls and 1 online inquiry and 3 different dates. What kind of letter did you send that maybe prompted actions to be taken? I hear they finally approved again and then sent yours back on it's way. This is so hard for us too waiting thinking it is going to the US embassy in the Philippines and interview coming and my finace is here for the holidays but now returned and seems she will not be here at all this year and we do not know how long it will be before we hear anything. I sent inquiry by their website and says there will be a response to that inquriry by December the 14th but they don't even know why it was sent back to them and NVC does not know. My 129-F will expire on 1/25/18. We have been waiting and working on this since 4/28/17 and now all of this. Has anyone else suffered the same fate and what can that be? HELP!

yes, there are several other posters who are being held up by the CSC-NVC transition. I'm one of them too, with approval of 9/20 and still waiting to here from NVC.

my  case was approved on 09/19/17 still has not reached NVC Almost 1 0  weeks have done  everything I can still nothing

well, it looks like there are multiple people with that issue, i'm a  9/20/17 approval.Since my last post, I've contacted NVC who finally said it was at the NRC. Then i turned around and called USCIS, the representative was adamant that NVC has the documents and is still within the processing times, but need to wait 90 days before they do anything. The rep also insistent on how I found out about the NRC and explained that NVC researched the case and confirmed it was at the NRC.  I made initial contact with congressman and will get the form to fill out for inquiry.

It's frustrating knowing there's such a disparity of dates for filers within the same approval period.

Rest assured, its coming. Ours was delayed and took almost one year from start to finish. USCIS lost our petition and it was never sent to the NVC. I eventually got my state senator involved. It didn't take long after that. USCIS found our file(s) in a box tucked away in a storage area.

You know, I was just on the phone  with USCIS rep indicating the same thing, all he said is you have to wait 90 days(three times longer than what the I797 says). And he was telling me that because it's been over two months since approval of petition and yet, NVC has no documents, while there are members on here that were approved at the approx same time as mine, and yet they have already had their interviews. It took us 5 months for approval of petition. So to the OP, all cases are unique and can vary drastically each person's timeline.

    Hello,

Is there anyone that have encounter this issue before ?
What are we supposed to do ... ?
We are worried a lot about what do do

    HI Joe,

I started a new topic with the same issue. Our NOA1 was late april and it was approved in Sept. Yet to have receive confirmation from NVC.  Two months and still no word, sent off the NVCresearch email with I797 last week, no word yet. There are several other members on here who have already completed their visa interview, and they had filing of i129F in April.   Doesn't sound normal processing times.. I though maybe it was the fires in CA creating a problem since they were near the Laguna Niguel Office ( i live in So CAL) but a vj member had their approval notice one day earlier than mine, and have completed their interview. Their docu, ment were received by NVC appox 10/03/17, shipped out on 10/05/17  and interview was 11/08/17.  Frustrating..just a waiting game.

  9. Hi All,

This website has been very helpful with everyone experience.

I'm writing since  it doesn't seem anyone has commented on the length of time it takes for the approved i129F petition to make it's way from USCIS to NVC. It's been almost two months, and still haven't received notification one way or another that the petition has been received/processed by NVC.  I sent an inquiry to the ASKNVC, and they responded  by stating document haven't been received yet (which is quite obvious) and indicate if it's been over six weeks since the approval,  to send a copy of the i797 to nvcresearch. Has anyone had this long of delay waiting for the NVC to receive the documents?  The i797 indicates petition approved and sent to NVC.  Thank you in advance.
