  1. If it were me - I'd redo the I-134 (and include whatever you did before plus the new supporting documents; i.e., pay stubs - letter from employer if they'll issue one). The Embassy may still decide to use the co-sponsor but you never know.

FWIW - not having your current (or any previous) employer on last year's tax return doesn't necessarily make a person who is working now, ineligible to sponsor.

  2. ** You know, if there was ever a place where some folks might have trouble with the English language, it might just be Visajourney.

The OP has a legitimate (and perhaps serious) question and some folks clearly have not used their best judgment in posting so far. I'm leaving all such comments in place - to serve as a reminder.

Please post responsibly or refrain from posting.

  3. I did not High-Jack it...I just had a question along the same lines, Instead of creating a whole new topic this Thread alone addressed two issues one being a drug issue and one being an alcohol issue...Im sorry but I appreciate your feedback !

**Just to be fair - it was a bit of a hijack (can be confusing to the OP and/or those trying to help them, and you); will leave everything here but next time, perhaps a new thread/topic would be in order. Thanks

  4. I've edited the title of this thread so as to not give folks the impression that the form is expired - indeed the date you are referring to is NOT an expiration date for the form. This OMB date may trigger USCIS to review the form and decide if a new revision is needed - but that has not happened as of now (may/may-not happen).

The form's revision date (seen in bottom-right of forms) is the important date to notice - in this case it is actually 05/21/2010 and is the latest revision.

No new version (revision) has been propagated and USCIS's site tells you what revision date is currently being accepted and if previous version (if any) are/are-not accepted (which in the I-134's case, previous versions are accepted; if someone has one laying around - some Embassies still have older version I suppose).

  5. Well my fiance will be living here with me and my mother (the co-sponsor) then there is also 3 kids (not mine) here. My sister who is older than me she is 35 doesn't pay rent. Then my cousin in his 20s who is in the military and isn't here all the time. I assume the kids will count but what about my cousin and sister?

Do you know how your mother is filing her taxes? (As in who, if anyone, is listed as a dependent? )

And is it safe to assume the co-sponsor is not sponsoring anyone else (if so, they will need to be added them as well).

  6. If you are asking if you need to provide a separate explanation for fields asking for an A# and/or a SS# (I-129f #'s 8&9 or top portions of the G-325A), I would say 'no,' an explanation wouldn't necessarily be needed for those specific fields.

Not sure if it applies, but you may need to/want-to explain some of this if it had an affect on how you guys met in person in the last two years. You may need to provide explanations in other fields on certain forms - such as the G-235A under previous work or residence if they apply. You will eventually need to explain many of these things on Consulate/Embassy stage forms (such as DS-156, DS-230).

All that said, you've certainly got some history - some of which may need to be sorted out (preferably) before a petition is filed - hard to say exactly since you've left off most of the details.

  7. I think it is a bit irresponsible (at the very least, not helpful) for folks to proclaim failure, time waisting - or other similar statements seen here (am not saying this directly to anyone in particular) and especially without delving into the other evidence the OP has on hand. All based solely on the existence/nonexistence of photographs. This is how myths and fable further their credibility.

Do I personally believe the OP is doomed to failure unless he hops on a plane, camera in tow, to take some snapshots of him and his honey (and perhaps mom/dad in-law)? Not exactly - but I don't know all the facts and really, neither does anyone else (since no one has really explored that).

I would think that out of 8 trips to PI that the OP would certainly have amassed some pretty good evidence of having traveled to the islands - doesn't sound like that is an issue.

    FWIW:

For all we know - maybe his fiancé's friends/family has photos of them. Or, perhaps there is some other evidence to support having met.
