I'm in the process of booking flight to the US (super expensive). Due to this I might not be able to pay the immigrant fee right away.

I have some some few questions;

1. What are  some of the challenges that comes with paying when you arrive in the country?

2. How long would it take to receive GC? 

3. Can I travel outside the country with only the stamp in my passport given at POE?

I've been thinking about volunteering while waiting for my GC. We both do volunteer at social, sports, community events... We have even registered for the Super bowl in Minnesota, hopefully the Chicago Marathon too! The question is, Can I volunteer before my GC is ready?

Thanks. Good thing I will be arriving in the summer. Enough time to adjust before the winter. Wifey said the last winter was mild. Do you agree? 😂

I think it takes between 2-4 weeks. Maybe you can go to dhl on July 19

This is the first time I'm posting anything here but I've been reading your posts for about a year. Thanks everyone, you guys helped a lot. Visa was approved about a week ago (waiting to pick up), the whole journey took us 10 months. God has really been great to us. 

I have a question though, my police report expires in 2 weeks (6 months old). Do I need a new one to show at POE?
